Sheryl Bidwell
I came from a military family, being "made in Japan" and growing up in Alaska, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. I have always lived near the ocean and love the lifestyle living near the beach offers. When my father retired from the Air Force, we moved to Summerville, SC in 1972 and I have lived in the area ever since. After graduating from Summerville High School I attended Lander College in Greenwood, SC and eventually received my Degree from Charleston Southern University. After working for Marriott Hotels, Carolina Youth Development Center, and then spending 12 years in Apartment Property Management, I luckily found my way to Island Realty in 2001. After learning the ropes for several years, I became a Property Manager in 2004.
I love my work at Island Realty and am dedicated to my owners. I will always strive to see that your property brings you the best income and is well maintained for guests. I look forward to working with all owners and guests to insure that all issues are handled promptly and professionally.
Angie Lewis
I was born in Savannah, Georgia to a military family and have lived in Alabama before moving to Western Nebraska where I spent most of my school age years. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Chadron State College and worked for five years as a victims advocate for victims of domestic violence.
I moved to Charleston in 2007 and started working at Island Realty as a reservationist, a position that I held for eighteen months before being promoted to an Owner Rep. Assistant, during which time I received my Property Management license. I was promoted to Property Manager a short time later and took over the management of Sea Cabins and Oceanside Villas.
I look forward to working with each of you and helping to maximize the potential of your property. I strive to insure that all questions and issues are handled promptly and to the satisfaction of guests and owners as best that I can.
Margie Raab
I was born in Mesa, Arizona and resided there till our family of 5 picked up in 1990 and moved to the east coast landing in the Raleigh area of North Carolina. In Dec. 2004 I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management; Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication; Public Relations.
After college I picked up and moved myself to Florida in a 16 ft U-Haul with a Ford Explorer in tow and accepted a position as a Recreation Manager for Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando. However, after 3+ years of organizing events, asserting my independence away from family I decided to come back to the Carolinas to be closer to those I love and to experience seasonality again.
In
June of 2007, I accepted a position of Island Adventures Manager, aka Recreation
Manager, for Wild Dunes Resort here on the Isle of Palms, where I spent the next
2+ years designing and implementing programs and events for our resort guests.
In 2010, I had reached a point of, well, wanting something new……..
which landed me where I am today as a Property Manager/Owner Representative for
Island Realty.
My
goals within this position are tremendous, however I hope that through the
continued partnership with our owners I have the pleasure of working with that
we will achieve the optimum results in not only rental income, but the overall
maintenance and upkeep of the rental property as a whole. My vested interest in
Island Realty’s
success and the success of achieving the individual objectives of our owners is
what I thrive on and I truly look forward to seeing all we can achieve together
in this dynamic business relationship.
Bonne Taylor
I am an Ohio buckeye by birth and was raised in Canton. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from East Tennessee State University where I met my husband of now 26 years. We continued moving south until we came to rest here in the sunny south. We have raised our two daughters here on the Isle of Palms where we have lived for 18 years.
Customer service has always been a priority through my working years. Starting in the retail business right out of school I learned quickly its importance. I have worked for 15 years in Property Management on the Isle of Palms so I am very familiar with the islands and the people who live and work here.
My goal as an Owner Representative is to partner with you to keep your property in tip top condition in order to realize the highest income. I am very sensitive to everyone involved and want to do the best job for you and Island Realty.
Shawn Templeton
I am originally from Oklahoma and grew up in Texas. After college I moved to St. Augustine Fl and began my real estate career working for my families company, specializing in the management and sales of resort property. During a visit to Charleston in the late nineties, I fell in love with the area and met my future wife.
In 1997 I moved to Mt. Pleasant to start a family and immediately began working with Island Realty as a property manager. Since then I have worked with many homeowners in a management and sales capacity. I am committed to providing the highest level of service to my clients and their guests.
