Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission
Two of the local County parks to enjoy are the Isle of Palms County Park which is beachfront, and Palmetto Islands County Park, just a short 10 minute drive away. Both are designed with family fun in mind and Palmetto Islands has a great waterslide park that kids love. The parks also host numerous family style events and festivals to attend!
The Isle of Palms County Park is 600 feet of front beach with County lifeguards on duty during the peak season. They also offer dressing areas, outdoor showers, restrooms, snack and vending areas, picnic areas, beach chair and umbrella rentals and a children’s play area. Parking is available and is located next to the Sea Cabins on front beach.
Palmetto Islands County Park is where you’ll find Splash! Island…the seasonal family water attraction that provides hours of fun and recreation for kids of all ages. Ride the 200 foot waterslide, the 16 foot Otter slide, “The Cyclone”, and play under sprays, geysers and raindrop waterfalls.
