We have stayed int Palm Blvd. for our last 3 family summer vacations. This locations offers the best of IOP. The house is on a beautiful creek that offers fishing, swimming and kyaking...only some of the options. Then it is only a few blocks from the IOP beach. It has been ideal for us.

The location was great giving us choices of beach/dock or walking or riding and friendly neighbors. The house lay out was great and had all the conveniences but could have used a walk in shower. I have wanted to do this for a long time and was not disappointed.

We’ve rented multiple times from Island Realty and this is now one of our favorite properties. The location can’t be beat — easy 2 block walk to the beach, access to the creek right from the backyard, quick drive or short walk to restaurants, and only a 20-ish minute drive into downtown Charleston.

My husband spent many hours fishing right from the dock that was just feet from the house. Even when it was drizzly one day he was able to go out and fish thanks to the covered areas.

The master bed was very comfortable. Just be prepared it’s really high! Not an issue for us but I could see someone with mobility issues having a problem getting into the high bed. The bathroom door to the master bathroom didn’t close all the way, which wasn’t a huge deal and we just used the hallway bath if someone needed to get up in the middle of the night so the other person wasn’t disturbed. For a small house, having 2 bathrooms was unexpected and really nice.

Wish the fenced in space for a dog was bigger, or closer to the house. Not really practical with where it’s located now. Instructions said to vacuum or sweep the floors but we weren’t able to find a vacuum so that would have been a nice addition.

Our family of five really enjoyed staying in this home. The pictures are pretty accurate, but the kitchen has been updated and new flooring has been put down in the main area. Also, all the bedding has been updated. There were extra pillows and blankets in the closets, and there was a desk with a chair and lamp in the hallway. The two-person swing shown in the pictures is no longer there. The home was very, very clean. We have never stayed in a beach home with such a large lot. The children enjoyed playing in the back yard, and we especially enjoyed the dock area. We ate most of our meals on the screen porch or at the picnic table at the dock. The trees are really lovely, and help slightly block the sunset so it is pleasant all day on the porch. You really can't get a much better view. It was quite peaceful. The beach is a short couple of blocks away. We walked there early, mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and once more after the sun had set. Although we had arranged for umbrellas and chairs to be set up for us, there was a cart at the house that would make it easy to load up your own chairs, etc. The only downsides were the lights from the road at night flashed through the windows of the bedrooms, the bedrooms did not cool evenly, and an electric tea kettle and perhaps a hand mixer in the kitchen would have been appreciated. Overall though, I would highly recommend this property.

Nice house in a great location. House is clean, well maintained, kitchen is well equipped. Convenient location - 2 blocks to beach and a number of restaurants in walking distance, short drive from IOP connector. Great view of intracoastal with active bird life. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Our stay was an absolute surprise as we really did not know what to expect. Location was on deep water with access to the beach just two blocks away. Large screened in porch to watch beautiful sunsets and wildlife activity during the day. Well stocked kitchen as we like to cook. We are looking forward to our return next year.

So much to do at this property. We hardly turned on the television. The dock is great place to fish,sun,or just hang out.This was my dog Bo's first time to beach/ocean. The 10 minute walk to be a h was good for him,and he's 12 years old. Thank you to the owners for providing so much to do. The carts were a big help taking everything for a day at the beach

We loved staying in this charming 1940's cottage with creek and sunset views! It’s 2 blocks from the beach and close enough to walk into town for restaurants, drinks or ice cream. It was refreshing to find a charming smaller home with modern features and plenty of space for a single person, a few friends, or a couple with kids. I’ve never stayed in a pet friendly rental this nice. I will bring my dog next time. When I walked in, it smelled SO clean! The kitchen and floors are new. The countertops are beautiful. (Pictures need to be updated.) The high ceilings and old hardwood floors in the bedrooms and hall add to its charm. It has a dining table for 6 and a screen porch for dining with a ceiling fan. The owners have thought of everything. We like to cook at the beach and appreciated that they left several kitchen cabinets empty for food storage. The tv/internet, extra-large washer/dryer and air conditioning all work great! The beds were comfortable as well. The dock has a picnic table for dining, morning coffee and sunset cocktails. Next trip we will bring our kayaks and fishing poles. There is also a huge driveway for parking. (Please be aware if you park on a side street near the beach, your car must be parallel to the road. There are no signs indicating which direction to park, but it’s apparently a state law. I was one of 5 cars that unknowingly parked the wrong way and got a $100 ticket.)

We met the owner’s son and he gave us some history about the cottage, as did Cooper from Island Realty. His grandfather worked on a barge that dredged the Intracoastal waterway and creeks from Wilmington, NC to Isle of Palms. The cottage was the barracks on the barge where the workers slept. His grandfather bought the barracks and moved it to it's current location in the 30's or 40's. The kitchen and master bedroom side of the house was the original barracks and then they added on. This was our second time renting 815 Palm during the winter. It was everything we needed. This time we didn’t get much use out of the amazing boat doc because of the unusually cold wet windy weather. We did catch a few beautiful sunsets from the backyard and dock. The property is in a quiet environment and a 5 minute walk to the beach except when you are walking with toddlers that are. “wanting to take turns pulling their wagon”.

Nice spot on the tidal creek. Beach is two blocks away but no parking at the 9th street entrance so I had to walk on a sore knee. Kind of expensive for what you get

We always stay oceanfront so wasn't sure how much we would like being on the creek side. What a wonderful treat, the view, the breeze, outdoor swing, screened porch and a new dock. This home was very clean, nice comfortable furnishing and a well equipped kitchen. I hope we can stay here again next year.

This is a unique and fun place, perfect for our small family and fur kids aka dogs. The screened porch was a favorite place to gather, play guitar, read and hang out. The AC is great, all the appliances are new, the kitchen has everything we could want, the grill is new and works great. The tv and WiFi are perfect and thank you for the tennis channel! We kayaked from the dock daily and it’s a very convenient walk to the ocean.

Check-in after hours went smooth. The location is an easy walk to most everything in the main Isle Of Palm area. Our stay was very pleasant. The entire home was rather well furnished and the kitchen had most everything needed. The property was very clean throughout. It was nice to have a small and shaded pen where our dog could enjoy some outdoor time. We were unable to use the dock very much due to the rain but its nice and sturdy. There was even a boat lift that would be a nice amenity in the future. We enjoyed our stay.

This is our second time staying at this house, great location and we thoroughly enjoy having the dock on the river. Some suggestions for the owners...while the dog pen is nice it really isn't where most dog owners would leave their pets, would be very easy to fence the back yard to the water so the dogs could be out there with us and not have to worry about the busy road. Also A/C needs some updating as the back two bedrooms were much hotter than the rest of the house.
Would definitely rent this house again.

Pictures do not do this place justice. The yard is gorgeous. We loved our time here and had a hard time leaving. Being able to bring our dog was a huge bonus and the dog run on the property was perfect.

This was the perfect house for our son's wedding weekend! Everything was super clean when we arrived; even the porches and drive were blown off. The dock was a great place for our boat and hanging out with family and friends. The fact that it was pet friendly made it even better. Its' central location on the IOP is also a plus. Island realty provided us with a wonderful house and excellent service during our stay. We were in a bind as our intended rental fell through at the last minute -- we showed up in the late afternoon on a Saturday, needing a place to stay. Island realty worked with us and provided a wonderful house. During our week they provided excellent service. This was the perfect spot for our family, especially since we have three teenagers with different interests. We could kayak along with the dolphins all the way to the ocean or around the creek's islands, we could take a short walk to the beach or to get ice cream and browse the cute shops nearby, or we could swim off the dock in the backyard. We loved it, and will definitely be back. This is our new favorite place to stay on IOP!

Unfortunately, it was a very rainy week at the beach, but it is always nice to be there regardless. The view was great, but due to the natural landscape of the yard, and not enough hardscape, the rainy conditions made the yard and the leaves more susceptible to be tracked into the house. This condition made me feel the necessity to clean up the debris every time I came in. I really appreciate the fact that the owners allowed my dog. It is very hard to find owners that will allow dogs even if you are a conscientious dog/pet owner. Overall the house was nice and close to everything.

Despite the historical weather event that occurred during our stay, my family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful cottage on the creek. It was comfortable, well-appointed, and only two blocks from the beach, with the avenue being directly across from the driveway. We spent most of our time on the screened porch, enjoying the creek and marsh views, which are delightful, and enjoying great sunsets. We will certainly recommend and possibly re-rent this home!

We loved the location and the yard and amenities. The house is small but very comfortable for 6 people and a dog. It is great that there is so much within walking distance! The sunsets are beautiful and having morning coffee on the dock was lovely. A few minuses, upon arrival, 2 beds had sand in them and the sheets needed to be washed. A boat was left on top of the floating dock which which impeded full use of the dock. We called the agency to either allow us to put it in the water or have it moved but we were told they would get back to us and didn't. The boat was there our entire stay. One suggestion - more durable mats by the doors would be helpful in keeping it clean. The current ones are dirty and flimsy. All in all, we would rent the house again.
