Join Charleston County Parks in a harvest celebration to listen to bluegrass music, eat some amazing barbecue, and have lots of fun with the whole family! The Harvest Festival will take place at Johns Island County Park on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Music + Food
The highlight of the Harvest Festival is always the live bluegrass music from local bluegrass bands performing throughout the day, and no Harvest Festival is complete without a feast! There will be plenty of food vendors offering Southern barbecue, roasted and boiled peanuts, kettle korn, and traditional favorite festival fare. After all of that food and dancing, be sure to go by the crafters’ market to get a jump on holiday shopping.
Harvest Festival is a very family-friendly event with plenty to keep the kids occupied including hay rides, a stick pony corral, pumpkin decorating, penny diving, and equestrian demonstrations. There is even an Archery Turkey Day Shoot from 1 pm - 5 pm! While turkeys will not be harmed in this competition, the overall male and female winners will take home a frozen turkey. The friendly target-shooting showdown is open to ages 8-17.
Harvest Festival will take place at the Johns Island County Park. Admission is $8 per person. Kids 12 and under and Gold Pass holders are admitted free.
