(5/5 stars) We rented this for our annual family beach week and we were very pleased with this house. The property was very clean on arrival; the check in process was simple. The house was one block from the beach access which made it very easy to get kids/equipment to and from the beach. It was 2 blocks from the IOP recreation department and we enjoyed the large playground that was partially in the shade in the morning. Very easy for everyone to bike to the playground. This is a great area for a family vacation - there's so much to do or you can just do nothing! This house has a lovely pool area and handy outdoor shower plus hand held faucet to rinse off all the beach sand! The upstairs porch area was comfortable and often had a nice breeze. We spent many hours out there. The living room area also had comfortable couches and chairs that met our needs as a larger group. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies - it wasn't a large kitchen but we knew that from the photos. The second refrigerator in the garage area was appreciated for beverages - there was only so much room in the side-by-side refrigerator in the kitchen. (5/5 stars) We LOVED this house! 7 adults & 5 children (ages 11 to 2) had plenty of space! The living area and every bedroom was SO ROOMY!! The master closet could easily be used for a baby to sleep in! It was very clean, the beds were comfy and the screened porch was a big hit with room for all 12 of us! The elevator was a lifesaver for luggage & the pool was fabulous! It has a large shallow area attached to the main pool & steps all the way across the shallow end so it’s much bigger than most pools @ beach homes! It was heated & it lights up @ night! It was great for the small children! Our golf carts were very handy although the beach is very close! Kitchen was supplied w/all you could ever need! I do recommend a baby gate for the stairs from the den down to the bedrooms, especially for toddlers! We plan to book this house again next year!! It was 5 minutes from Harris Teeter. We loved morning coffee on the porch and then walking our granddaughter to the playground at the rec center a few blocks away. The beach is also a very short walk. The pool was clean and the backyard felt like a tropical oasis. Beautiful landscaping! The house had a few pool floats and toys and a great beach wagon. The outdoor grill was great! Some of us had to log in for remote work and set up by the pool or at the kitchen table. Would be nice to have a small desk in the sitting area beside the kitchen. Ping Pong was a hit with everyone and it was nice to have that downstairs refrigerator for extra storage. There were a few puzzles and games in a chest. The master bed was very comfortable! The elevator helped get luggage and groceries up and down. Highly recommend Islander 71 and Acme for great seafood dinners out. And Sea Biscuit for breakfast! The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Bonus with two coffee pots so we could make decaf and regular! Everyone loved this house. Would definitely stay again! (5/5 stars) My husband, our 3 kids and spouses and 3 grandkids spent 5 nights in this awesome house! It had almost everything we needed and multiples of kitchen ware. Very short walk to beautiful beach, away from the crowds but close enough to walk to busy area. The management company was very responsive to our needs. One thing you should know: there is a pack n play, several beach chairs, some umbrellas and beach/pool toys, and multiple hair dryers. I was told none of that was there so we schlepped it all unnecessarily. They were correct that there were no beach towels, and they only supplied one bath towel per bed, which meant you had to wash them. Would definitely stay again! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, charming and appointed with everything we needed to relax, spend time at the beach, lounge at the pool, grille and enjoy local restaurants, such as Acme Lowcountry Kitchen. Checking in and out was close by and easy. The home was well cared for and maintained like a family home. We arranged to have a scooter delivered, and when the scooter company called Island Realty, they put two and two together. They determined that since the elevator in the condo was not working and got us into a fabulous house nearby. Cannot recommend Island enough.
