They are essentially rebuilding sections of the beach that have been lost to erosion. Which was several houndred yards north of us... there was a note in the rental stating that some beach renovations may be impacting the beach. Thankfully it was all north of us for all but our last two days when it moved next door and it smelled horrible the ocean water was affected and more white caps...they were brown caps. The morning we were checking out they moved to directly between the rental house and the ocean ...the roped off the stairs from the we would not have had ocean access if we were staying longer. We lucked out, it could have been worse. The house was nice and sufficient, clean...and labeled very well for guests. beautiful decks both upper and lower. The house was perfect for our family ranging an age from four years old to 80. The house had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The house was steps from the beach and we loved playing in the surf with the four and five-year-olds. The house was immaculate shape and was perfect for our celebration. Island Realty logistics were smooth and trouble-free. House was *fantastic*...kudos to the owners. The porch views were as spectacular as you hope. We brought a beach tent but never set it up - no need when your porch is that close to the water. We were there soon after Hurricane Debby while Hurricane Ernesto was in the Atlantic and there was a full moon. Lower steps to beach were washed away by extreme tide surge one night... Island Realty had steps repaired in half a day. The layout of the home was very conducive to entertaining and also allowed for relaxation. The main level and upstairs decks were huge and perfect for a beachfront experience. Kitchen was well stocked and almost everything was labeled. The ice maker was a great surprise! There are 2 refrigerators and dishwashers. The garage area is very large and provided cover for vehicles. Sonos and WIFI were easy to use and service was very good. Bathrooms in all the bedrooms was very convenient for guests. We pre-ordered beach chairs/umbrellas and bikes.
