It boasts a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of storage, a dining area with seating for six, and a living room with large sofa (sofa is wide and deep, and sits low to ground but new as of October 2024), a large flat screen television (basic cable, no ESPN), and direct access to the private covered balcony overlooking the ocean. The condo offers two guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twins, each with access to their very own bathroom. The master offers a king bed, a sitting area with a wall mounted flat screen television (basic cable, no ESPN), a full private bath with a walk-in shower and garden tub, and direct access to the oceanfront balcony. WiFi & Linens included. No smoking. No pets. Condo Building provides Elevator access from parking to shared complex breezeway. This was not where we chose to stay, but the place we wanted was unavailable. The balcony furniture is rusting out and dirty, and had seagull poop on it. The kitchen was very basic did not have a decent size cutting board. The wine opener was probably three dollars barely worked. No storage containers at all pots and pans very minimal furniture other than the kitchen was dented and old and should’ve been replaced just like the balcony furniture when you’re paying that kind of money for three weeks in the off-season you expect the house to be in great condition. This place is not. We had to call guest services to come and put a Roku in because all they had available were basic stations. We could not hook up our streaming services. There were pros & cons. Pros: Nice roomy layout, quiet, oceanfront with beautiful views, beautiful pool, great location- just over the bridge and walkable to bars, restaurants, shops. Plenty of parking. Cons: Upon arrival & walking into the primary bedroom we noticed a large obvious rip in the bedskirt- why not just remove it? When we went to bed, there was a rip in the sheets and several hairs in the sheets- yuck! The white cloth couch was dirty, the rug leading to balcony ripped. They provide 1 bath towel (small) 1 wash cloth & 1 hand towel per person for the week- not enough per person. No beach towels provided and NO mention of this in the description other than linens provided. Definitely not enough bath towels or wash cloths. I called the morning after check in to ask about more bathroom towels & beach towels. They would provide an additional set of bath towels at $10 rental fee. They have no beach towels. We flew in from out of state and had no beach towels. We had to rent beach towels from a local company. I went to Target and bought extra washcloths and bath towels @ $3 each. Disappointing and called the rental office with no avail or sympathy. I feel there should be LARGE no smoking signs on the balconies.We paid far too much to not be able to enjoy the whole villa. It was a pleasant place to visit. The furnishings and the overall condition of the unit needs some attention as the tile floors and the concrete balcony floor are in need of repair. Also, the cleaning service needed to do a better job as there was thick dust on the room divider next to the sliding glass doors and there were cobwebs in the corner of the master bdrm to the left of the sliders. There were places under the chair in the living room that looked as though it hadn't been moved to vacuum beneath in the right corner. The master king bed was a little too firm side for our preference. The unit need some updating. We enjoyed all the amenities available. We really enjoyed the chairs and umbrellas on the beach. This was the first time we used this service.We stayed in this same unit last year and found that it looked very worn this year. The furniture was old and looked it! We called for maintenance to repair three issues. We also noted some smaller issues that had not been repaired since our visit last August. It wasn't a major problem for us, but again it let us know that not much has been done to ensure a high standard of rental quality. This is a superb location on the beach with stunning views. We have been vacationing on Isle of Palms for over 15 years. The location was great. Located right on beach, nice pool, and walking distance to some great restaurants (Acme/Italian right next door), and grocery store. Island realty was very nice and easy to work with. The service provided was sub par at best. There was no cleaning service and we were given 1 towel per person for the whole week. The place itself was let’s say very used. It was pretty beat up, none of the door locks worked, the front door stop was broken, the carpets in the living area were horrible and hard as a rock, and we found trash under the couch and a empty beer can behind a lamp in the bedroom. Also the porch furniture had dried up food on it and a chair was broken. Both bath tubes would not hold water. We called Maintenance on Monday and Tuesday finally after third called they came and brought us some little rubber mats that did not work well. The kitchen has nice countertops and very nice cabinets. But the couch is very tired and there’s a lot of stains on the carpet. There’s a nice bar is doing the kitchen but there’s no stools for the bar. And the mix match of furniture on the balcony does not look good. Wish bedroom 2 and 3 were a little bigger and surprised that they aren't with all of the vast room in the rest of the condo. Furniture in the condo leaves a lot to be desired. Couch is incredibly uncomfortable and other living room chairs are not great. The two large rugs in the living room and under the dining room table are hard and hurt to walk on without shoes. It would be helpful to have basic essentials provided in the kitchen (salt, pepper, oil, dish towel etc). Beds were comfortable and condo is almost soundproof which is nice. The kitchen is well equipped and large. The balcony has 2 nice chairs and a rocker. The master bedroom is spacious with a desk. The newly purchased wrap around couch in the living room is of poor quality and is very uncomfortable, low and hard to get out of. The main complaint is the carpet. It is badly stained and looks filthy. The tile in the hall is also in need of a good cleaning. The closets are full of stuff, like broken lamps, old curtain rods and bent slats from the vertical blinds. While we have been satisfied in the past, we were not satisfied this year with the condo. We have stayed for 3 years in the same building at IOP and stayed in the exact same condo this year as we did last year. Within one year, the quality of the condo had diminished considerably. There were stains on the rugs and carpets. The cleanliness of the condo was awful. The kitchen was dirty with food on the silverware along with the dishes. The couch smelled really badly almost to the point that you didn't want to sit on it. Most of the blankets appeared to not be clean. The dryer was full of old lint. It was a luxury to have a grocery store, beverage store, and fresh seafood market less than a mile away. The unit was also spacious enough for my husband and I, along with 4 young adults, that we had our own space without feeling cramped. In addition, the kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to enjoy cooking family meals together.Having read earlier reviews, it was evident that updates had been made to the decor. The unit was also clean upon our arrival, again in contrast to some earlier reviews. Island Reality was very responsive and helpful whenever we had any questions. When we had a small issue with the washing machine, a repairman arrived within an hour to fix the problem. For $4000 a week, it was dirty. There was black mold in the bathroom near the air vents, black mold in master bathroom shower, about a years worth of dust and dirt built up on the air return in the kitchen, and general dirt throughout. I recognize that the property is a rental and there is high traffic coming and going. However, all of these things should have been addressed by the cleaning crew. There was about an inch of dirt and dead bugs on top of the refrigerator. We killed at least four cockroaches running around the Unit and missed several others. The building is nice, the location is fantastic, and the views are amazing. It was disheartening that the unit was so dirty.
