The pool is conveniently located on the main living floor, perfect for the family and the lights make night swims fun. The entertainment center with 75" flat panel TV/Blu Ray/Stereo system/CD and iPod dock, is ideal for all ages and preferences. Wireless internet and cable TV are included in the house. The wall to wall, glass sliding doors lead out to the large screened porch which contributes additional living space. It is furnished with a table and plenty of seating. The dining room table seats 8 and there is a breakfast table in the sitting area that will seat an additional 4. The 4 counter island stools in the kitchen are perfect for serving the kid\'s snacks! The open kitchen with plenty of countertop space makes meal preparation a breeze! There is a full bath located off the living room and a newly update utility room with futon and streaming tv (no Cable) for the kids. Also in the utility room is a Full size washer/dryer, utility sink and additional refrigerator. The gas BBQ grill is conveniently located on the front porch which has also been recently renovated to add a swing bed for enjoying shady afternoon naps in the ocean breeze. A beach shower is also provided for convenience! The Master Bedroom is located off of the main living area and consists of a King bed, smart TV and ocean view which steps out onto the new pool deck. The private master bath offers a walk in shower and double sink vanity. The second floor features 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The first bedroom with an ocean view has a King bed and smart hd TV. The second ocean view bedroom has a Queen bed and smart hd TV. A third bedroom has a Queen bed with an additional bunk bed plus a smart hd TV. And the last bedroom has 2 Twin beds and 1 set of Bunk beds plus a smart hd TV. The upstairs bathrooms include a one tub/shower and one walk in shower, and are located off the main hallway for access by all the bedrooms on this floor. The large, grassy backyard is the perfect spot for the kids to play a game of Frisbee or a friendly game of touch football! A stroll down the private boardwalk leads you to the beautiful Isle of Palms sandy beach and sparkling Atlantic Ocean! Recently added is a screened in gazebo for enjoying the ocean breeze without the need to worry about bugs. This house also is also located about 1 block away from the Isle of Palms Recreation center, located at 28th Ave on Cameron Blvd, which boasts wonderful sports facilities such as tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, playground, etc! Please note this is an older-style beach home. For guests interested in enjoying the area by water, a boat slip is available to rent. The slip accommodates vessels up to 30 feet; however, the owners\' jet skis will remain docked during your stay. Guest must provide their own boat or jet skis – this is dock rental only. Rental fees are $100 per day for jet skis or boats up to 30 feet. Convenient, gated trailer parking is provided through nearby parking area. All boat slip rentals will need to contact the office directly to setup at time of booking. It's nothing fancy but definitely has all you could ask for! Plenty of space (beds and bathrooms for 11)... privacy and convenience galore! We walked to the rec dept for tennis and basketball, we walked to the grocery store for supplies, we walked to an ice cream shop... this was the perfect place for our family! We struggled a little with the front door keypad which is the only reason that the general condition got 4 stars instead of 5 (it did make entry delayed on occasion - maybe a new keypad?) The check-in and our processes are easy and convenient. It has everything you need for a family get away. The pool is conveniently located on the main living floor. We knew going in that it was an older family oriented home and weren’t disappointed by the decor or age of the property. The location can’t be beat and the pool (brand new) is a wonderful addition. There were only a few issues we encountered. The first being the carpet, the carpet is in need of replacement it is pretty beaten up and uncomfortable to walk on. The second issue was lots of ants in the kitchen. This is a tough one because we also saw tons of ants in the dunes so I’m sure it’s a constant battle to keep them out of the house. We used her as a "home base" for the night before our wedding at a church on Sullivan's Island and this house did not disappoint. It has a great layout, and was so cozy! My only complaint is that the rental company did not provide enough house items. It was advertised for 12 people and we rented for 3 nights. There was one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, only 2 towels per bathroom. Just not nearly enough for the number of people that would be occupying the space. Otherwise, I cannot recommend this property enough. This was our 1st time at this house and we really enjoyed the large kitchen and screened porch.Since we stayed during the Covid Pandemic, the comfy rattan furniture on the large porch was well used. WE appreciated the private boardwalk to the beach.Social distancing was not an issue. I was a little concerned that I had to call twice to have the outside bathroom cleaned. I think a detailed list of all areas should be given so no area is missed.We were originally booked for Spring break when the Island was closed. For those of us who were able to travel safely, it was a wonderful getaway and we each had our own space with plenty of room. The house is large and spacious. The old floors are gorgeous and the bathrooms and laundry room have been updated. The open layout was great and we spent the majority of our time on the huge screened in porch reminiscing while listening to the ocean waves. For those who didn't want to sit on the beach, the sundeck worked great. The walk to the beach wasn't too far but we still felt secluded and safe in our spot. There were only a few things that weren't ideal... the downstairs carport bathroom was not clean so we emptied the trash and wiped down the toilet and sink with disinfectant wipes; two of the three trash bins were completely full with other people's trash; the ice maker was really slow so we had to venture out to get ice (the extra fridge in the laundry room housed the bags of ice); and the check out time of 10am is earlier compared to other rentals we've stayed in. Housekeeping showed up at 10:15 as we were packing up our cars and then had the rental company call me, which only slowed down the car packing process. That part was a little weird. A tiny grace period would have been nice. The check-in process required I wait on site at the rental company for a text so I could get the necessary information from a locker. Due to that, we couldn't get into the house until after 4pm anyway. This was the first weekend the island was open for short term rentals so I understand additional precautions were needed. House needs some attention - especially with safety concerns. Front stairs are very poorly lighted and nearly missed the last step going down to landing in the dark. TV in living area required pin number not provided until tech came out. Every time channel was changed the pin no. was required. While sinks had hot water, showers were only lukewarm. The kitchen sink stopper provided was inadequate - would not hold water. The lamp bulb next to the chair in front of the back sliding door not bright enough to read by. The pillows for sleeping were too soft in the master bedroom. There was not a single hot pad to be found in the well equipped kitchen, so cooking for Thanksgiving was a little tricky. Found 2 moldy measuring cups in the cupboards. When these issues are corrected, this will be a fantastic place. Needs a little TLC! (5/5 stars) Everyone in our group from ages five to eighty loved this house. It is so inviting and comfortable, suiting our needs perfectly. It has spacious common areas where we could all gather, with more private areas as well. It is an older home but has been beautifully updated in kitchen and bathrooms.
