The decor is top notch and beautiful with lots of attention to detail. I love the slightly different layout in this unit with a full granite countertop over a full size washer and dryer sharing the kitchen area space which really opens up this area. Being oceanfront is always a plus as well. The only thing I will say, is the guest closet area was completely taken over by housekeeping item storage... vacuum, broom, linen sets, cleaning items, etc; therefore it could not be used at all for hanging your clothes which is a problem in a small space. Other than that, the bed and furnishings were very comfortable and the updated design is very nice. We enjoyed our stay, and of course Island Realty is the absolute best company to interact with. We've been renting in Wild Dunes for 20 years and this was our favorite rental!!! The location was perfect with a great view of the ocean and the pool. The unit had been beautifully updated with a comfortable bed and living area furniture. The kitchen had also been updated with a great refrigerator freezer and lots of storage. We enjoyed eating on the table and chairs on the screen porch and listening to the ocean. The lighting in the bath was great and the step in large shower was wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay in this beautifully decorated and located condo and are already planning our next visit. In addition, the service we got from Island Realty was superb! Kozi especially was very helpful when we reported the building elevator was not working. I was worried about getting all of our luggage from the 2nd floor to our car when we left the next day and Kozi kept us updated on the elevator repair and when we determined it wouldn't be repaired in time for our check out, she had Tony from Maintenance come help us move out. He was a God send - friendly, helpful, kind and strong and got all our stuff down the steps and packed in our car in no time. I am SO grateful to Kozi for her hard work in trying to take care of our issue and her friendliness and follow through and to Tony for his kindness in helping us move out. There were a few glitches at the beginning of my stay one being the air-conditioning and two being lack of communication with property management, but both were fixed immediately. This is a beautiful condo with upscale furnishings. The only thing I would change is the fact that everything was pretty minimalistic. The bar wire was nonexistent there are no beach towels, etc. I have stayed in other condos where all of that was available plus laundry detergent, etc. now that I know this I will just bring my own but just be aware. The "money shot" as they say in Hollywood is the spacious beachfront screened-in porch in which feel like you're on the beach. The porch juts out a bit from the building so you get the same breeze as do those sitting in their beach chairs 50 to 100 feet in front of you. The pool is just a few steps from the unit, and the beach is beautiful and uncrowded. (5/5 stars) We have vacationed at Wild Dunes for over 30 years and have rented many places at the resort. This rental is by far the best place we have rented. It is a pleasant updated comfortable condo. Like all the Port O Call rentals, it has one bedroom. The bedroom was spacious with a king size bed. There is an entry area with is great for leaving things like beach stuff. On the right side is a living room, kitchen and small breakfast area. The living areas are modern and comfortable for 2 people or 4 if you put 2 people on the sofa bed in the living room. But what makes this place wonderful is that the windows look out over the ocean. It is so beautiful. We loved the screened in balcony which had great views and awesome breezes. All the rooms have huge windows with unbelievable views of the ocean. We had a great week-long vacation. The view from the screened porch is expansive and wonderful. We could just sit on the porch and feel like we were on the beach--without getting sandy! The condo itself is a great size for two people, and it was comfortable, cozy ,and pleasing to the eye. The kitchen has everything we needed. The elevator is a wonderful alternative to stairs , because of our old knees. We liked the condo so much, we have already booked it for next year.Suggestions: bring a broom to sweep up sand. The furniture looked new. The swivel chairs and recliner were a nice touch! Good parking. The rolling luggage racks and elevator were pluses! The location of this unit is oceanfront and directly facing the beach -- nothing in between. The large balcony can be accessed from both the living room and bedroom! The balconies are well-spaced out for privacy. The ceiling fan for the balcony was a plus. Extremely well-appointed kitchen with high quality cookware and tableware. Large modern shower. Everything worked well. Some noise could be heard from the floor above, but it wasn't extensive. Would have been a nice touch to have double the number of bath towels, washcloths, and bed pillows, and a couple lightweight blankets. Would have liked room-darkening blinds or shades on the windows adjacent to the front door area where a porch light stayed on all night. The chairs near the window swivel so you can see the ocean easily, which was a very nice touch. The ocean view was terrific and we could easily see the ocean from the large windows in every room. The bed was very comfortable. It was very relaxing. A few downsides: there was only half a roll of toilet paper and half a roll of paper towels. There was no wine opener and no blow dryer. The pillows were too overstuffed - I had to sleep on one of the decorative pillows. All of these things are minor and easily remedied, though. This unit had a perfect location (beachfront and close to pool ) but is in need of a major renovation with painting and some replacements. Our biggest complaint is we never did get cool enough at night or during the day and you could not lower the thermostat below 70. The view out of the front windows and from the porch was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The two main downsides were the old/rusty shower/tub and the toilet. Both were clean. However, the toilet is low to the ground, more suitable for a ten-year-old than an adult. The toilet's flushing power is insufficient to take care of one of a toilet's two job duties. There is a plunger. Need I say more? Back to positive. The decorating was nice and the kitchen was modern with a large refrigerator that was pre-cooled when we arrived. Check-in with Island Realty was pleasant. The shower water becomes warm very soon after you turn it on. The heating and cooling worked well. Furniture was nice. There were plenty of all-cotton towels for two persons for a week. There were plenty of blankets for cool nights. There were several good jigsaw puzzles. There were flashlights in case the power went off (it didn't). There was even a Gideon's Bible. There were plenty of nice dishes, plates, glasses, and coffee cups. It was nice to have extra paper towels, toilet paper, and soap. Some things could be better. The neighbors above were noisy, but they were not not noisy very late or very early. Another neighbor smoked on his porch in the late afternoons. I would put a regular height table on the porch instead of the tall table that is there now. The porch chairs seem somewhat tipsy. One front window does not open. There is a loose screen on the front porch. The blinds above the couch are difficult to open. Also, the windows needed cleaning. Some of the silverware was rusty. I would have liked some sugar packets (there was salt and pepper). A broom and a dustpan, a squeejee would be nice. The air vent covers need to be replaced or repainted. Also, hot pads and dry measuring cups would have been nice. I know that this is a lot of detail. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly like to come back.
