Quality details can be found throughout the home, including the mantel, which is from a former Georgia governor\'s home, ca.1824, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The fireplace is decorative only. A whole-house air purifier, dehumidifier and water filter were newly installed for your comfort. The gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances, beautiful granite countertops and custom cabinetry and offers incredible ocean views for the chef. The open dining area features a custom walnut table with seating for eight as well as additional seating for four more at the adjacent kitchen island. When it is time to retire at the end of the day and dream of adventures to come, “Sweetwater” offers four beautifully-appointed bedrooms and three full baths. (5/5 stars) The furnishings of this house were not to my taste, but the house itself was in great condition and the view was incredible! We enjoyed using the back patio though some cushions are in need of replacement. Also the upstairs bedroom patio has a hightop table with normal chairs so you cannot use it. There were beach chairs, boogie boards/skimmers underneath the house which was nice. We did have to bring our own beach towels which was fine. It was large enough to accommodate our family and was well stocked with everything we needed including an awesome ice machine. The home was in great shape and very clean. The location had a wide beach area just steps away from the county park. Island Realty was very responsive to a slight problem we had with a door handle. They were there within minutes and corrected the issue immediately. Would be better to have the second floor bath made into toilet and sink on both ends with shower in middle so everyone had a bathroom and share the shower. So many parts and pieces in the kitchen that took up all the available cabinetry so had to put our groceries on the counter top. Lovely decorating. Beautiful view. Would be nice to have outside upper porch somewhat covered with an awning or screened in porch. Lower deck was so nice compared to what we usually have. Very nice but will probably choose a rental that is farther down on the beach. Have vacationed for 40 years on IOP so have experienced a lot.
