The room was equipped with everything we needed. The pullout couch is broke down on one side so it is not comfortable to sleep on at all. I do feel that the furniture does need some updating and I think the livingroom tv should be a little bigger, but that’s it. In no way did either of these things affect the enjoyment of our vacation. The living room furniture is almost unusable, the chair feels like it's going to break at any second, the couch is OK to sit on but unusable to sleep on all you feel are the springs. They had a blow up mattress but like everything else in the unit it didn't work. The bed and bunk beds were OK. The AC unit was leaking and coming up through the floor in the living room, my whole family fell numerous time thankfully maintenance was quick to come out and fix it and were very friendly. But we had to deal with the mess and the wet floor for 2.5 days. It definitely left more damage to the flooring also. We are a family of 6 and thankfully we had other family here bc some of our children had to sleep in their room bc the pull out was unusable as well as the blow up they provided. For the $ spent it should be better. The owner clearly doesn't seem to take care of this unit, I'm reading reviews now and it seem its been going on for years here. It was gross. The A/C was not working when we got here. The room temp was 82 degrees. The unit smells like mildew or urine. The floor is coming up in part of the living room area. The comforter on the bed and carpet smell. The vents for the a/c are rusty. The two wooden bar stools in the living room are not sturdy. Would not recommend and so regretting this rental. Right on the end of building A so it wasn't too noisy. The only issues we had were with the TV in the main bedroom, which kept turning off with a loud popping sound every now and then. The bedroom light switch is taped so it's unusable, we did not have a towel rack on the wall (in process of being installed while there), bathtub does not drain well, the fire alarm went off intermittently for about 10 seconds during 4 days when inside, and on a few occasions we could detect a sewage odor in the hallway, though it would not last, thankfully. (5/5 stars) We were able to book with Island Realty last minute after our original accusations fell through. We book this trip on our day of arrival. It was a quick and seamless process. The Sea Cabin 317-A is on the 3rd floor, Ocean front. It is the perfect location, however the steps can be a problem for those with health issues, as there is no elevator. We had no problems with this. The cabin itself was clean. The furnishings were very typical, and appropriate for an oceanfront efficiency. The cabin is one bedroom, with a sofa bed, and the two small bunks in the hallway (which we did not use, and linens are not provided for these bunks). All appliances worked, and the kitchen was furnished with the necessities for the time we spent there. We have no complainants with the unit. The pool are was nice, and not terribly crowded the time we were there. The pool, and beach access were steps from our unit. We could see both from our balcony. Grungy inside cabin. Needs updating. Only thing keeps one's seat from hitting floor on sofa is the sofa bed. Nice fridge & stove. Awful carpeting & TV in bedroom. This is the first time we had an issue with the place. Keyless entry on front door needs to be looked at. Sometimes it would take 1/2 dozen tries to open the door. We could hear the lock click, but the door won't open. The refrigerator was not working and had broken handle. But we reported it early Friday, and by lunch time Friday there was a dorm refrigerator in our room with all of our food moved to it. Flawless check-in service. As far as the property management goes, my major concern going into next year is only one parking pass available. This will be a deal breaker for us in 2018. I find it difficult to believe that Sea Cabins, some of which will sleep six, including 317A, limits parking to one vehicle.As for the condo itself, the two large rocking chairs on the balcony were by far the most comfortable of all the furniture in the unit affording a relaxing environment with a wonderful view. That said, most all of the interior furniture is well beyond worn and too soft to be comfortable. The feathered couch pillows created a mess the entire week and should be removed or ideally replaced with pillows constructed of more allergy sensitive materials. The sliding door had no screen and the window seal on one side had failed a long time ago and the hazed glass severely obscured the otherwise beautiful view. These issues made the condo feel not quite clean. Given the number of similarly priced options on Sea Cabins property, I would not recommend this unit. I have stayed in a number of the Sea Cabin units and always pleased. Unit 317 A was ok, needed some TLC. Very old furniture and the sliding glass door needed to be replaced. The ocean view was obstructed by the weathered and stained glass. The unit was clean, not sure about the comforter, very old. I also found a vertical blind on the floor when I arrived. This is our sixth time at one of the Sea Cabins in November and it is always a winner! The views were wonderful, the layout of the kitchen excellent (the island placement along the wall made the room more spacious), and we even enjoyed the pool in November due to the unexpected heat. The only negative is that the sagging sofa is due for a replacement--otherwise everything was excellent! Staying on the 3rd floor and having no elevator becomes a pain. This unit has a great view and great rocking chairs on the porch. LOVE the private pier!! Private parking and beach is very nice also. We love staying at the Sea Cabins but this cabin was disappointing. The air conditioning was broken upon our arrival. It was repaired quickly. Our cabin was in need of small repairs throughout which made it not feel like we were on vacation. The sofa was soiled. The walls needed to be cleaned in the bedroom. Seeing the shrimp boats working and dolphins swimming. We had a lot of rain and the parking lot was flooded and had to park in the public parking, which was not a big deal.(It was historical flooding for SC because of hurricane Joaquin.)We have stayed at other Sea Cabins and have had great experiences with them all. I had to clean the toilet before using it, the border was black, I even had to clean the toilet brush. This person didn't even care to notice that the pillowcases were inside out. The kitchen and dishes in general were greasy. Also, the owners need to spend some time organizing the kitchen. The updating they did is not functional and not professionally done.The bathroom smells like sewage. It's obviously right on the beach but it's also close to a number of restaurants and shops in IOP. The fishing pier is a nice bonus as well and makes a nice spot to see the sunset. The unit itself was ok. If you are enjoying a short stay at the beach, it works real well. If you are looking for an extended stay, the little things start to bother you more and more. There was a bit of mold in the bathroom which is not ideal for someone with allergies. The bathroom base boards were caked on with dirt, the poles that opened the blinds were broke off, the sliding glass door did not lock, some areas on the was were not painted (looked like chair rail was taken down but not painted over or replaced), there was an area under the blue throw rug that was missing floor boards (cut my foot twice on it).
