This is the PERFECT place to take in the views or watch the sunrise. The loft hosts a bonus twin daybed with twin trundle bed, and flat screen Smart TV. Only third floor units provide the extra loft space and lookout deck. This condo boasts plenty of living space with a bonus covered outdoor sitting area by the front door, only offered by units that are on the end of either side of the building. The Tidewater Villas community has a private pool for its residents on-site which is open seasonally April-end of September (pool not heated or cooled). It was great, as usual, but there are some things to consider:1. It's a little louder in the courtyard than oceanfront. You see more people on their porches and more sound. Plus, if the pool is going until 10 p.m., it can get very loud2. The washer and dryer are very, very loud. We needed to do washcloths, especially, and each load was deafening3. You have to stop in a physical location to check in. I don't love that.But overall, it's a great space. The fridge is awesome with filtered water, the rooms are clean, the reps are responsive, the kitchen is large. The TVs are a little annoying and could use some instructions unless we missed those. I would stay in the area, but for our needs I'll look for oceanfront going forward. But in a pinch this is a great space and wonderful stay. Each bedroom had a KING bed with private access to a bathroom! 3 outdoor seating areas (one by front door entrance, one off livingroom that was screened with table and 6 chairs, and a rooftop balcony with 4 high wood chairs that gave a great view). Kitchen had both drip and keurig coffee machines. Good supply of dishes, pans, etc. Inside eating area with 4 chairs. Spiral staircase led to a daybed area, that led out to rooftop balcony. Elevator down to pool or path to beach. Pool area was great with open and covered seating. Outside shower when returning from beach. The location was very good, it was on a nice part of the beach. Beach walks were enjoyed. Very comfortable sofas, beds. Well appointed kitchen. Our suggestion is to provide 2 sets of towels per person on the rental. The towels were okay, we would have liked to have had 2 of each type of towel. We did contact Island Realty & they did bring us some additional towels. There were plenty of pillows & blankets but no extra pillow cases if using an additional pillow. Stocking 2-4 pillow cases in the linen area would be helpful. When we asked for some they were brought to us. It looks exactly like what you see online. We will definitely be back. The kitchen and bathroom counter tops are lovely, the tile floor is beautiful, and the upstairs nook was fabulous for my 2 boys. We enjoyed the screened porch and pool on the hot and humid days, but also loved the location of this condo towards the end of the island. Not very crowded down this way. We also love the KING size beds in both bedrooms. *Even during COVID they had all things in place at the pool and everyone respected social distancing. The place was very clean. I really can't see enough fabulous things about this condo. There is one broken chair on the top deck that needs to be replaced. They have lots of cookware available and wine openers. There is a dishwasher and they provided soap for it. Know that you need to bring or buy your own laundry detergent. This unit was beautifully decorated, had a great view and was very convenient to the beach. It is on the top (3rd) floor which provided great views. There is an elevator if you can't walk stairs. The upstairs loft has a spiral staircase up to it and is a small space with a daybed and a trundle. My kids slept up there and thought it was the most fun thing in the world! The check-in process for Island Realty was very easy. The only thing was that they did not provide a map to the property. Wild Dunes is huge and we had to ask the guy at the gate when we drove in how to get to the property. He gave us verbal directions and we are able to find it. If they provided a map once inside the complex it would make it easier.
