We've rented this house for approximately 10 years. Not one update has been done. Guess the owners are planning to sell it for a tear down. Extremely sad since it was a terrific home once. Thanks to Island Realty, it hasn't yet fallen down.

The house met our overall needs with bedrooms and the recreation room downstairs was great and was really enjoyed by our teenagers and children. The kitchen was great and the large den was very nice. There were some issues but they were taken care of quickly. The staff worked tirelessly the day of arrival getting it ready for our arrival.

The house is definitely in need of repairs. Many cupboards, towel bars, window treatments, ceilings, doors etc were broken or showing signs of water damage, decay and just age. The basement also smelled of mildew. However, the house had many good features too. The floor plan is excellent. There were numerous screened in porches that were delightful and the location was perfect. We had a large family group and were not fearful of hurting anything with the smaller kids which was a plus. This is a great house but I fear that if repairs are not made it will get to a point that major renovations will need to be made vs repairs. That all being said, we did enjoy the house and it definitely met our needs.

The house layout was perfect for our group of adults and children. Although we had several issues during our stay:
1. Septic pump failed and backed up in the basement bathroom. Maintenance came out and reset the breaker.
2. Upper screened porch had no power the entire stay. Were told electrician would come out but apparently they could not repair the issue.
3. Several lights were not working, could be simply bulbs were burned out.
Overall have a very enjoyable stay. House needs some updating and general TLC. House is situated within short walk of the beach.
Would stay again and recommend to others.

We love this house! The wide open kitchen living dining room area is wonderful. Two dishwashers and two fridges make everything easier. The ocean views and plenty of deck space are amazing. We have stayed here before and enjoyed the tile updates on the lower level although there is still a bit of a musty odor.

We had a fabulous stay at 45th Avenue 4! We celebrated my mother's 85th birthday and hosted family from all over the country! My mom said it was her best birthday ever and wanted to know if we could make this an annual event! We put all the young family downstairs and they loved the privacy and pool table!! We all stayed upstairs and each of us had a lovely private room. We had dinner every night on the porch and spent every day on the beach!

This was our second stay at t this house. We bring the whole family - parents, 4 kids, grandkids, in-laws. We have plenty of space, close to the beach and all the amenities you need for a large group. Our son goes to USC so he’s able to join us for the weekends unfortunately the last kid is going to school closer to home (PA) so not certain we’ll be down again for awhile.

Loved the large house and especially the kitchen table that accommodates 12 people easily! The porches are awesome and the sun deck had great furniture. You could easily see the ocean from the kitchen and living room and the beach was an easy walk thru the dunes without having to cross any roads. We loved this house!!

The house size was good for our large group, but really needs some updating. It has a tired and weary look to it, and a bucket or two of paint on door frames, stairways, etc. would be an inexpensive positive addition. Downstairs dehumidifier doesn't cut off when full and overflowed. House could use a solid full cleaning as well--sand on floor when we first got there, dirt here and there. Keep up with the house a bit more and it will show much better.

2018 is our third year at #4-45th.The improvements made to the property--large table and chairs on the deck and second refrigerator as well as a new French door fridge with filtered water-- were wonderful.Several maintenance issues noted on check-in,some quite important,were not addressed until Monday but were then taken care of efficiently.We were distressed to arrive home to a voicemail inquiring about maintenance issues from the office on our landline;our cell number is on file with Island Realty. Housekeeping needs to vacuum or sweep out floors as sandy grit was on the floors on both levels.A new broom and dustpan is desperately needed in this home in order to keep the sand at bay.

The whole family loved our beach vacation reunion at 4-45th. The house has plenty of bedrooms and baths for large family gatherings. The kitchen is fully stocked. There are multiple screened in porches and the 3rd story porch has an ocean view. All the upstairs rooms have TVs, linens and towels included. And only 1 house from the beach. We had an absolutely amazing time. Can't wait to go back!

Very nice home that was suitable for our group of 13. Home is spacious and we loved having two refrigerators in the kitchen area and kitchen was well stocked. We rented this property with two families attending cadets ring ceremony at the Citadel. The house was spacious enough to accommodate the twelve people staying there as well as a few more day guests. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the open floor plan as well as the pool table downstairs. The house was however very hot. The air conditioning upstairs was by far not powerful enough to get the house to a comfortable temperature. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to contact Island realty until day four of our five day stay, at which time they provided four window AC’s to put in the bedroom windows. That made for better sleeping our last night but the living areas were still uncomfortably got. The property is a little dated but overall we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the house - there were really two different areas to the house - the kitchen/living level and the basement. The main level was definitely nicer than the basement. Was ideal for our large group of girls. A few things broke while we were there, but they were promptly fixed. Would have been nice to have a garage door code, so we didn't have to coordinate keys. Not right on the beach but just a few min walk away. Not a lot to do in the Aisle of Palm.

Although we had some problems - the fridge stopped working, the air conditioner struggled, there was a big storm and the yard flooded and sewage came up in the downstairs shower - the house is laid out so perfectly for multiple families and the location is so good that we still had a great vacation. Island Realty was super responsive and did everything they could to solve our problems. The house is much bigger than it looks in the pictures, with multiple decks and places to spread out. I'd go there again.

The house is in a low lying area, and the yard does have sump pump. Unfortunately, while you were here one of those pumps failed and cause the yard and septic to backup. That pump has since been replaced and working properly so there should be no more issues with the yard or the septic. We hope to see you again soon.

2017 is our second year at this property for a family week with three generations + friends. We were quite happy with the property in 2016. Our Two Star rating on the location is due to the swamp on the pathway across the dunes. Older members of the family were uncomfortable walking through the swamp as they could not see the bottom in places where the dunes are exceptionally low. The street at #4 & #2 was also flooded as was the cross street between 45th and 44th, not allowing us an easy alternative to accessing the beach. Island Realty should work with the city and county to alleviate this, perhaps with a raised boardwalk at 45th Street. We are well aware that there were excessive rains this week, but in an expensive holiday venue we would hope for better beach access. We realize that Housekeeping has a very short time to clean the properties during the season, but we felt that the cobwebs in the corners and dirty kitchen countertops were not acceptable. Island Realty does a good job in scheduling requested maintenance. We know that Housekeeping staff are probably paid minimum wage; however, they should report burned out light bulbs and an inoperable dishwasher. We did miss the picnic table on the screened porch. We like to eat our family dinners on the porch and that was impossible with 9 to 11 people at the small round table.

The condition of the house varied. The main floor was quite nice, but there were problems in the basement. The air conditioner unit was extremely loud in two of the three bedrooms(the two the vent was next to) and the downstairs shower curtain was moldy. The entire downstairs bathroom is in need of an updating.

This is one of the best values on the Isle. Home is spacious and open, has a beautiful view of the beach from the 3rd floor sunporch, has extremely comfy beds, a very well-stocked kitchen and ample space for everyone. We rented this house for my daughter's wedding. This property was perfect in layout and location. The kitchen is amazing! Two dishwashers and a nice open floor plan that provided plenty of room for the bridal party hair and makeup sessions the morning of the wedding. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. One bathroom flooded just before we arrived, but they retiled it the first day we were there. All else was perfect.

The location is amazing, the house isn't!
The house is showing its age and the owners need to step up and address a long list of nagging issues. The management company did what they could, but much of what bothered us was age related and not something that maintenance could address.
There was water leaking from a master shower stall into the basement stairwell, not nice but things happen.
My bigger complaint has to do with the overall condition of the property. The cabinets are tired, the silverware drawer bottom falls out when you open it past a certain point. The dishwasher upper rack falls of the track easily. However the dishwasher didn't work so we didn't have to worry about the rack issue.

I had stayed in this rental before, so I knew it would be the perfect fit for our group of 12 celebrating a bachelorette weekend. Before arriving, I received an email notification from Island Realty alerting me that after the previous guests' departure, some maintenance was required, and that we might not have use of one of the showers during our stay. While I was a little dismayed, Island Realty was prompt in addressing the concern and compensated us for the loss of the use of one of the bathrooms. The house was very clean, and we had more than enough space to accommodate our large group. This house is beautiful, and despite the issue with the bathroom, I would stay here again and again. The location is perfect as it is only steps away from the beach, and the porches offer beautiful views. Island Realty is incredibly easy to work with and helped to make this a fantastic girls getaway!

Awesome house for a group of at least 14 or more. Could have slept more. Large living area upstairs and downstairs. My wife said it was the best bed she had slept on in a long time. The weather was a little cool and breezy when we were there but the house has some awesome decks and screen porches. The house was very clean and well kept. We will again look at this house in the future. Only negative thing (to me) was the toilets. They were very small and don't fit my big butt very well. Everything else was perfect for our group of 14.

My family rented this house for Thanksgiving week. The beach is easily accessible and the house is comfortable. But the main reason I picked this house was for the huge table in the center of the kitchen which was perfect for thanksgiving- our whole family fit nicely around the table and there were lots of work spaces for preparation of food. The kids flew kites on the beach and the TV was never turn on! One of our best thanksgivings!
