Worked well for our needs.
It would be helpful for potential renters to understand the limitations of the property for folks with any limitations - house could be entered only by multiple steps, many inside doorways were narrow, bathroom on main level would be hard to manage for anyone with limitations and bed in upstairs BR was very high off the floor.

House was well-appointed and attractive and comfortable but I missed having disposal and ice maker.
Parking for 1 car was great - but it would have been difficult to get a 2nd car into the space.
The location was in a wonderful residential neighborhood - very quiet. For us, the walk to the beach was fine - 3 blocks to beach access walkway.

We had a great time at 3502 Hartnett. The house is very comfortable and an easy place to relax. The kitchen had everything you need. The location is perfect—on a quiet street and yet a very short walk to beach. A perfect place for our winter remote work/vacation.

We loved the home for our week. Living room sat so many and it was comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with anything you needed. Enjoyed the ping pong table and other fames in the garage. Had a TV problem, but maintenance came and fixed the issue from prior guest.

This beautiful home exceeded my expectations! The location could not be beat. The screened in porch was well used (and you’ll be very grateful because those bugs are biting in the Carolinas! Pack your bug spray!) thanks to reading past reviews, we knew to plan around a few things so hopefully this helps you as well!
-the stovetop is ancient and does not work well. So don’t plan to impress your family with your culinary skills. But the gas grill is great and we also appreciated the fantastic appliances like the countertop oven for air frying, reheating, and convection baking.
-the water pressure in the showers is impressive!! I never have high expectations when on vacation but this really stood out. Especially when you’re showering after a day at the beach (there is an outdoor shower to get the sand off before you come in the house)
-renting a golf cart is a MUST. And do it early because they book up. It will run you about $400 for the week. Well worth it.
-the upstairs bathroom is HUGE. The shower in that bath is not. So think about this when assigning bedrooms.
-the house is very well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, for the beach, even games, puzzles and books! Save yourself some room in the car and leave your beach chairs at home.

Our one complaint—and it’s not the owner’s fault—is the house across the street has several dogs and they are out at all hours. They bark, which is not the dog’s fault, but the inconsiderate owners who leave their two very large dogs (and their four puppies) outside all day and night, and even in the rain. The property manager was so responsive but there’s nothing they can do. My advice is to call the Liveability Police everytime the dogs bark during quiet hours (we were woken nearly every morning at 5, 6, 7 am). They take the noise ordinance in IOP seriously and will make a stop and perhaps even fine the owners. I would recom

We loved the amount of light in this home! Very comfortable and cozy. We had 5 adults and had plenty of space. Location to beach was a very easy walk. We did rent a golf cart to make it easier for an older member of our group. Having the washer and dryer in the pantry area was perfect. There were quite a few beach items to use in the open garage area. We didn’t have to use any, but we were pleasantly surprised. Ping pong table was an added fun activity. Appliances were on the smaller side but ok for our group’s needs. Upstairs shower is small. Just worth noting for taller people! Considering this for next year unless we decide to stay right on the ocean. Definitely enjoyed by everyone!

Had a great day. However, wish there was an actual master bedroom suite on the main floor as a family member needed a more accessible bedroom and bathroom. Wonderful fully equipped kitchen! They had every tool and pan you could need. The gas cooktop should probably be replaced. And the only issue with the refrigerator was at the ice maker was super slow. Other than that, Wonderful House, wonderful Christmas!

We spent a week here and really enjoyed the house. After a very difficult year, this place was a respite near the ocean. The house is nicely decorated & comfortable. The location is nice and we drove to the beach access which had available parking. We also drove to downtown Charleston and Sullivan's Island. Great value also!

3502 Hartnett is a wonderful vacation home a couple of blocks from the beach. Conveniently located to getting on and off IOP, to shops and dining. The house was clean, well stocked and roomy. Some small maintenance issues rot, but nothing that effected our stay. For the price this is a very good value. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great house! Family rooms spacious and comfortable for all. Fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms were gorgeous. Note: Only 2 bathrooms for 6-8 people. Will look for 2.5 the next time. Walk to beach was very easy. Loved the screened in porch - fabulous. The trees were gorgeous and made for beautiful breezes through the bottom floor. Only 2 suggestions: 1. None of the porch or beach furniture was cleaned for the summer. Everything still had dried leaves and dirt on them including the ones on the top sun deck. They should have been cleaned and ready to go for guests.
2. We reserved for a week and were left 4 packets of machine dishwasher soap - not great customer service. I would rent again. PS to Island Realty: The lawn service guys were at the house and on the porch blowing leaves at 9:45 am on Saturday morning despite the clearly displayed noise ordinance. We're fairly patient people. Some folks would have been really upset. All in all, great house! The interior cleaning was excellent.

We stayed at the house on Hartnett for a few weeks to mix up our usual work-from-home scenery and could not have had a better time. This is a great property: only a few blocks walk beach access, quiet neighborhood, and well-put-together home. We found the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking, the living room to be extra cozy, and loved enjoying our morning coffee on the back porch. An A+ stay!

We felt like this was a special retreat! The house was spacious, with many wonderful amenities. Located a few blocks from the beach, and an easy drive to surrounding islands and Charleston. We can’t wait to come back again!

Greatly enjoyed my stay! The house is very comfortable (beds are soft; very little street noise) and very close to the beach. Perfect house for a short stay to get a much needed change of scenery! Highly recommend it!

House location and house layout was fine. As always, you could upgrade some of the features. But it suited our purposes just fine, visiting nearby relatives and taking advantage of the beach. However, there were issues such as we needed to fix the toilet downstairs as the flush mechanism was broken, the master bed was so elevated that a stool should be provided. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment but lacked in organization. Lights should be labeled. I know its S.C. but they should treat the house for ants more vigorously.

The house is located about 2 blocks away from the beach entry. So it's walk-able, but a very hot walk.
I would recommend renting bikes for the week since beach parking is limited.

The house is nicely decorated and the HVAC system worked well especially upstairs. As noted in other reviews the kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, glasses, etc. The only item missing was a 9X13 pan and the oven only had one wire rack. Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay for a week.

The rental agency was a bit challenging to contact/work with during the covid pandemic. When we did arrive on-site (to pick up keys), they were very gruff about being interrupted and answering any questions.

Everything was clean and functional (and new). The only issue was the beach cart had a flat tire, making it somewhat harder to haul stuff to the beach. The canopy was a lifesaver.

This house is beautiful. The furnishings are lovely - beds and couches all very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all your needs. The new gas grill was a great addition. Great thought has been put into everything the house has. The walk to the beach was quick. We loved staying here.

This house was absolutely lovely. We could tell the owners paid attention to every detail. One thing I loved was the quality of furniture. Everything was comfortable. No cheap couches or chairs. Even a hammock in the backyard! The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans which we used throughout the week. There was also plenty of space for us to put our groceries. We enjoyed playing board games which were an unexpected surprise in the house. We loved playing ping pong with the kids. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. We had the best week and hope to come back soon. We would definitely rent this house again.

A lovely well decorated and comfortable beach house that is close walking distance to the beach. It is also close to the grocery store and local fish market. Very comfortable seating and beds. We are a family of 7 so the shared master bath with one sink and small shower not so convenient. Also we did not use the outdoor shower since it was not very inviting. We also wished for a grill! Did spend time inside to escape afternoon thundershowers, but the Big screen TV supplied plenary of good entertainment. A little high rental price considering only 2 baths. Kitchen stove a little outdated. All in all a great vacation rental!
