The condo was clean, updated, and beachside. The ONLY negative I have to say is that the property is RIGHT BESIDE the public beach access. The beach was SOOOO packed all around us. We had no room to do anything! When I visit IOP again I will make sure our place is not so close to public access.

The Beachview is AMAZING. But condo needs more care/updating

This is our second time renting this condo for a family beach vacation. We had a great time and absolutely love the direct access to the beach. The condo is nice, but IN NEED OF SOME MORE ATTENTION. Legs were broken off of one of the accent chairs, found two medication pills on the floor in the master bathroom (only God knows what DRUGS they were, and I am GRATEFUL that my toddler did not find them before I did), the bunk bed was rickety and unsafe for my children to use, the faux hardwood floors were shifting throughout the unit (and had gaps wide enough for you to see the sub flooring below), bathroom/showers need some updating, housekeeping left us with a dryer full of clean towels (not folded..but I guess we should be happy they were clean), and one of the interior bathroom doors had a very large hole in it. Despite all of this, we still managed to enjoy the beach view and access. Just hoping that these things are addressed before we book another visit.

I've rented through Island Rental for nearly thirty years and have stayed at Island Rental properties at least 15, if not 20 times. This by far was our worst experience. From the start there were problems. Somehow the cleaning crew thought we were coming in a day later. We needed to wait well into the evening to get in and we had a 6 week old baby with us. We appreciated the free dinner but what we really wanted and needed to get in to our condo. Then we were greeted the next morning by a cherry picker and a construction crew that was tearing off and replacing the building's facade. They were working to our right and moving in our direction. Realtor said that they were only given notice by the Homeowner property association two days prior. But for some reason no one put one and one together and thought that they should inform the renters to see if this would work for them. For two days we listened to beep beep beeps incessantly and the banging and yelling by the workers didn't stop until 6:00 PM. We looked with Anie (spelling?) at another property and it didn't work. Moving down the hall and only receiving a $400 credit wasn't adequate for what we were going through... knowing that we'd still be hearing the construction noises. We appreciate the full credit, but this wasn't Island Realty's best week.

The condo is beautiful. We rent it every year, but this year it wasn't clean at all. The showers were covered in mold. There was grime all around the bottom of the toilets. The tile is dirty and the rugs and floors did not feel clean. For $500+ a night, you expect the rental to be clean and in good condition. The kitchen needed a good cleaning also. Especially around the floor boards and the cabinets themselves. There were some maintenance issues too. The bunk bed feels like it is about to collapse. The kitchen cabinets are falling apart. The wifi was constantly causing us problems and I sat on the phone with both the service provider and maintenance. The shower door in the master bath leaks terribly. This unit could use some love and attention. I want to rent it again next year, but I am hesitant.

This is a very nice apt but suffers from a lack of care. We were here almost a year ago and the same maintenance issues remain.(see previous reviews). Also the housekeeping is not very good. Large patch of mold and mildew on shower curtain in one bath and mold in shower in master bath. Furniture on deck is in poor shape and uncomfortable. A shame because overall it is a very nice place with perfect location. Also several burned out lights.

Overall it was an excellent experience but a few minor inconveniences made it less than it could have been. There aren't enough luggage carts on the property; I only saw one briefly and several guests were anxiously vying for it. There were 4 "tv/cable" remote controls in the living room and 3 in the bedroom with no instructions for how to use them. Getting the TV on and tuned to the desired stations was virtually impossible. The WIFI password provided at check in was incorrect. The mattress in the master bedroom offered very little support, was soft and "like a crater" according to the wife. 3 stars for quality of furniture based on this bed, other furnishings were excellent.

I have rented at 1140 Ocean Blvd 4 times staying in #s 108,107 and 105. This was my first time staying in #105. The condo location is great. It is oceanfront and very close to stores and restaurants.
My criticism is the kitchen at #105 is very poorly stocked for anyone that intends to cook.
Frying pans are warped and Teflon scratched off the pans.
There were only 5 forks in this condo, only 1 kitchen towel and no pot holders for removing hot pans from the oven.
There are no supplies, even as basic as salt and pepper and the ice dispenser was broken. Island Realty should inform guests that there are no supplies so that guests can prepare accordingly.
There were only 1/2 rolls of toilet paper in 2 bathrooms and none at all in the master bath. We did not notify Island Realty of these issues until the time of checkout, as we have rented many homes and condos around the world and we came prepared with plastic flatware, toilet paper, coffee filters, laundry soap and other basic items.
That being said, I would stay in 105 again, but the owner needs to replace and maintain the kitchen essentials. On my next visit, if they aren't up to par, I will notify Island Realty so they can supply the basic cookware and flatware.

Location was perfect. Condo is right on front beach with ocean view. Three bedrooms and three baths were perfect for our group. A few things need work as noted in other reviews-still have not been attended to since those reviews were posted but for the most part the place was clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.

I have been. Wanting to stay at this condo for quite awhile and online it looked great. But as I got acquainted with 105, I learned the condo had not been kept up so well. I know it is a big expense to keep these rooms up to snuff but broken glass in the big bathroom rug, holes in doors, holes in ceiling of balcony and the balcony light hanging by a thread and not working? Ice maker worked but didn't dispense Even with all that, I was enjoying my stay till my vacation was cut short by mandatory evacuation. If I don't get money back for lost days, I will never stay here again!!! Wifi was a challenge too.

I feel the bathroom could of been cleaner. Looked like black stuff around the shower door. No bath mats in two of bathroom. Plastic plant in master bath had tons of dust and dirt. Looked like it hadnt been cleaner for months.

This is the second year we have stayed in unit 105 and the sixth year we have stayed at a unit in this condo. The location is perfect. It is oceanfront with a private boardwalk, private pool & within a very short walking distance of shops & restaurants. This unit is on the first level & has private access from the balcony to the pool & boardwalk. This was very convenient especially having to make multiple trips to & from the beach. Great view from the balcony. The unit is tastefully decorated. There is ample seating. The kitchen is adequately stocked. There are a few items I will remember to bring if I stay again that the unit does not have: kitchen scissors, food storage containers, a working can opener. We were disappointed that the unit was not ready at the 4:00 check in time. We waited on the cleaning staff to finish cleaning and when we finally gained access we noticed the unit was not adequately cleaned. The kitchen trash can was full and stuffed into the full length kitchen cabinet. The trash can was dirty. The walls in the cupboard where the trash can was stashed were dirty. Other areas dirty. The shower curtain had nickel size mold patches all over it. There was thick dust under the beds and couches. There is a hole punched out of a bathroom door which I believe was there last year. The property has recently replaced the old wooden boardwalk and replaced some board walkways with concrete sidewalk; both look great. The pool furniture was replaced with new furniture as well. We did notice some inconsistencies with the property management company from one year to the next. Last year we were provided with a small supply of trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods, & laundry pods. This year we were given a box of small trash bags but none for the kitchen trash. Also provided with dish soap but none of the other complimentary items provided last year. Overall happy with the property, but very disappointed in cleanliness and timeliness of access to the unit.

Love love loved the condo from the pool to beach access it was in a perfect location and the condo itself was exactly as described. Only small issue was my paperwork advised the condo would be ready at 4 pm and at my arrival I was told they had till 5 to get it cleaned and ready. After a very long drive and our attempt to arrive at the designated time it was disappointing to have to wait another hr. I was told it was being cleaned and it was clear the cleaning was rushed a little.

My friend and I were attending a continuing education class in Charleston sc and wanted a beach stay. The condo was in a great location with amazing view. The furniture was comfortable and decor trendy. We enjoyed first floor walk up from gate. Only complaint was on Saturday a Christmas parade blocked main road and we unable to park in garage and had not notice of this from realty agent. It was frustrating and made us late for evening plans.

We had a great stay. The unit was really nice, and we loved the private stairs from the patio to the beach path. We have a one year old so we make several trips back and forth. Also loved the washer dryer with a small container of tide provided. The unit had both a keurig and coffee pot but the keurig wasn’t working when we got there. The unit had recently moved the pool exit button so a few people got stuck in there because they couldn’t find it ( its hidden in a bush to the right, luckily the unit manager wandered by our first day and filled us in)We definitely plan on coming back!

We had a wonderful vacation and our stay at #105 helped to achieve that. With two 5 year-olds and a 2 year-old, a room on the first floor was an excellent choice. Being able to walk out of your room and head directly downstairs to the pool and beach helped tremendously. We went to the pool and beach multiple times a day, the easy access was invaluable.

The room was clean and welcoming. Big enough for everyone to have their own space. Everything was kept up and we had no problems, be it in the kitchen or with the TV.

We only had a couple of wishes for improvement: the unit needs a new vacuum cleaner and better, faster WiFi.

Would definitely recommend this property and hope to return next year.

This condo is the perfect location on the IOP. We have stayed in 3 other units in this condo and love this condo. It is beachfront with a pool, and a short walking distance to restaurants and beach shops. This unit was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The twin sofas provided ample comfortable seating. Kitchen was well stocked. Bedrooms accommodated 2 families of 4 with total of 4 young kids. The 3rd bedroom with the bunk (double bottom/twin top) even had a trundle bed under the bottom bed which was not mentioned on the website description when we booked, so it was a pleasant surprise. The newly renovated bathrooms look great. However, the sinks are a little high for young kids to reach; a small step stool would be helpful. The first floor unit provides direct beach access from the balcony. The view from the balcony is obscured by a palmetto tree but still a nice view. The property is well maintained with manicured lawns and beds around the building. The boardwalk around the back of the unit and to the beach is looking a little tired and in need of new paint/finish. Recycling bins on premises a plus. The unit appeared clean upon our arrival, but there was dust, pieces of paper and a tennis ball under the master bed; so I guess the cleaning crew forgot to clean under the beds. Everything else appeared clean. The unit was stocked with toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, and small hotel sized shampoo/conditioners. Would advise to use liquid dishwasher soap as the pods provided did not dissolve and had to run the dishwasher 3 times until we figured out the pods did not work well. We experienced a plumbing problem with one of the toilets as well as a sink; both were addressed and repaired same day. Overall, a great place to stay on the IOP. We hope to be back!

We've rented this same condo several times in the past. It is very convenient and comfortable. The condo needs some updating in the common areas and this unit needed some attention in the master bedroom area - mattress needs replacing, bathroom tile needs a good cleaning. Otherwise things were good. We'll be back to Isle of Palms.

My family and I stayed in this rental property for Christmas. I looked at many properties online and this one seemed to have everything I was looking for. Island Realty was very easy to deal with and even contacted me to let us know the condo was ready earlier than we expected.

When we walked into the condo, I knew I had picked the right place. The space was beautiful, the furniture was comfortable, the beds were in great shape AND the ocean was steps from the walk out balcony. The four of us had a wonderful time. It was great to have such a cozy place to come home to at the end of a busy day exploring. The condo is close to Charleston and Mt. Pleasant and Isle of Palms has many restaurants so you can stay local. We loved our time here and were very sad to have to leave. If we come back, I would definitely book this specific condo again.

overall the property was great! The location is ideal, with beach and pool access- simply wonderful! It took 20 minutes to get to downtown charleston during rush hour.
A few minor things need to be addressed.The guest bedroom has arguably the squeakiest mattress i've ever heard. This made sleeping a bit uncomfortable in that room. Secondly, the curtain rod in the living room looked like it was going to fall at any minute. Easily addressed and would stay here again!

We loved the beautiful condo, and the view of the ocean. The town was very quiet and pleasant with wonderful restaurants. We were only sorry that our stay was cut a little short because of Hurricane Matthew. We would love to come back for another stay in the same condo. The staff is wonderful!!!

Usually stay at 107 but it was booked. Worst condo ever. no hot water in kitchen, poor drains, toilet had to be plunged every time someone used it. this was after maintenance called. bed in room had poor/old mattress. washer and dryer need updated. had to buy pots and pans to use. really needs updated. bugs in the light fixtures needs good cleaning. Island realty was wonderful. Will not be coming back to this condo ever.

Beautiful condo, great location, clean. Two light bulbs were burned out over kitchen table. Missing a couple of things...like pot holders and a metal spatula for grilling...Mattress in first bedroom as you walk in the front door was VERY saggy!!! Also, the bunk beds in the kids room had a few screws/nails sticking out in the inside that could scratch them. Other than those things, we really enjoyed the vacation, the great views, and the location. The condo overall was extremely nice.

Lovely, well furnished condo on the beach. Viewed fireworks from the deck, which was great since there was a king tide. We had a great first birthday celebration, 4th of July celebration, and 47th wedding anniversary with the whole family.

Very good rental unit with great access to the beach. Also it's an ideal location with regards to shops & eateries.

Only two issues: No separate laundry room was logistic & privacy issue and the second bed room mattress is too soft and unstable for sleeping two people.

Our stay in unit 105 exceeded all of our expectations and I am a very picky traveler. The view and proximity to the beach can't be beat. Access to the pool is mere steps away. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking should you so desire. Being within walking distance to several shops and restaurants was also a huge bonus. The unit was very clean. I was somewhat nervous about the place after reading some of the reviews but I don't have one single complaint. The only thing that would have added to the enjoyment of our stay would have been the ability to leave the sliding doors open. That being said, the owners are looking into getting custom screens made. We hope to be back!

We've stayed in this unit before. Love IOP, location is good, pool adequate, water and weather great. This unit needs some updating. It was clean but worn. Kitchen cabinets laminate is peeling, paper roll in bathroom off the wall, television difficult to operate poor instructions, battery in remote for TV missing, etc. worst defect was king bed in master suite on bathroom side was so worn it was impossible to sleep without fear of falling off, very uncomfortable. We still had a great time but this unit needs some TLC.

My experience was wonderful from start to finish. I really had a sense of this area that I had never been to from the decor to the view. It was a perfect place for me to stay for this trip.

The furniture is very stained and dirty, the beds are very cheap and uncomfortable, There was one frying pan that was very old and scratched up, the patio furniture is falling apart and sits sideways. I had to go to Target and purchase cookware just to cook. The location is great, I have stayed on this property many times just in other units and loved it. This unit needs serious attention, New furniture, cookware, beds, Paint. I would not recommend unit #105 to anyone. The bad part is my sister and I brought our terminally ill father here as his last request to spend time together, and this is what we encountered. Very disappointed.
