Updated dog friendly three bedroom, two bath ground floor rental steps from the beach on Isle of Palms. This rental located directly across the street from beach access path, is perfectly situated for maximum time at the beach with easy access to shopping, restaurants, tennis, dog park, gym, basketball, playground, frisbee golf, and more. This rental has been recently updated (2017) with modern furnishings, stainless appliances and granite counter tops, memory foam mattresses, gas grill, two Smart flat screen TVs (cable in living room only), and even Blue Tooth speakers in the bathrooms.

This ground floor unit of a duplex features easy ground level access, cable TV in living room, WIFI, washer and dryer, a large screened porch with ample seating for evening drinks with the ocean breeze, along with an additional side screened porch for grilling and chilling, outdoor shower and off street parking. Perfect for small families or couples looking for updated pet friendly accommodations, with close proximity to the beach and other island amenities.

LAYOUT: Entry through large screened porch into living room
1. Queen master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower/tub combo);Smart TV (no cable).
2. Queen bedroom with private access to bathroom, shares hall bath with Bedroom 3 (shower/tub combo).
3. Queen bedroom with access to hall bath shared with Bedroom 2 (shower/tub combo).

Additional sleeping capacity is available in the living area in a queen sized pull-out sofa with gel foam mattress. Dogs are negotiable with a $200 non-refundable pet fee per dog (NOTE: Isle of Palms does allow dogs off leash on the beach during certain times of the day.) LINENS INCLUDED. No Smoking.

The three bedroom, two bath upstairs unit is also offered as a rental and may be rented together with the downstairs unit for a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, pending availability (see Palm Blvd 2403 Up and ask Island Realty vacation planner).

We really enjoyed our stay at Palm 2403 Down. It was spacious and quite comfortable. We have a couple of minor complaints, however. We were only provided with one dish towel and one dish cloth. It would have been nice to have a second set while the first set was being laundered. It would have also been nice to have some limited cleaning products available so that we could have cleaned the bathrooms during our extended stay. While it was nice to have a fenced in yard for our dogs, the lawn was pretty much dirt and weeds so that it was an issue tracking in so much dirt. Maybe the addition of some gravel in the side yard might help limit that issue. With all that said, we have reserved the duplex for next year and look forward to going back. I would say out overall rating would be a 4.

This unit was updated, clean, and right across from the beach access. Very spacious and a wonderful, large porch for the grandchildren to gather. A near perfect place and location and we will definitely come back.

This is a clean,updated unit. I loved the location. Very close to the beach. Great towels and washcloths. The beds were very comfortable. Great furniture in living room for relaxing. There were only two things that bothered me. I usually travel with my dogs and this is a great pet friendly place. But the side yard had a broken down fence. I had to go prop it up so my dogs couldn’t get out. They are little,so it worked out. Also, there were several people in the upstairs unit. I could hear every step they took. Maybe some carpet would help baffle the noise.

Although we enjoyed the convenience of the rental’s location, we won’t choose a lower-level unit in the future. We could hear every movement of the guests upstairs. In fact, due to the noise, we thought a herd of elephants had rented the unit above us! As a result, our stay wasn’t as restful as we’d anticipated. We spent more time in a family member’s sea cabin to avoid our noisy neighbors. Also, the unit could benefit from more lamps in the living-room area and fitted bed sheets that actually fit the mattresses. We had to keep pulling the sheets back over the mattresses in every room.

Thank you for your suggestions. Additional lighting has since been added in the living room of the lower level. The upstairs unit also has some new area rugs that will hopefully help alleviate some of the noise you might experience while staying in the lower level.
