Description

Wonderfully renovated five Bedroom five Bath home with Private pool and is located between the beach and the IOP marina, only 1 1/2 blocks to beach access path! It's in a quiet area of the Isle of Palms on a large lot at the end of a cul-de-sac, perfect for privacy and relaxation. This three story home has updates throughout.

The 1st level has a bedroom with two queen beds and a bath with both interior and exterior doors to access. This level has a large, wraparound tile/concrete porch area, most of which remains dry as it is located underneath the upper deck.

The 2nd "main level" of the house has a open floor plan with the kitchen centrally located next to the dining room and between two separate living/den areas. There are plenty of choices when it's eating time, the dining room table, a large granite slab to gather around, and/or if you prefer dining/cooking outside there is a outdoor table, chairs and a gas grill easily accessible just outside the kitchen door located on the deck. This deck wraps around with three sets of steps on two sets on the front on either side of home & the 3rd set of steps at the back for easy pool access. On this 2nd level their are also two bedrooms and two baths and a laundry room. Both bedrooms have queen beds. One bedroom has its own bath while the other bedroom is just steps away from hall bath.

The upper level 3rd floor has two master bedrooms and two baths. This level is accessible by two separate staircases leading up to each room for privacy or you can use the hallway between them to go between the rooms or access either set of stairs. Both of these rooms have TVs and one of the baths has a tub/shower combo. On this level is also a loft area set up as a office and/or a playroom for kids.

When its time to play, you can walk or ride bikes to the beach, enjoy the shops and restaurants at the front beach business area of the island or travel across the scenic IOP connector or Ben Sawyer blvd drawbridge to visit Mt. Pleasant or downtown Charleston. Features include a gas grill, screened porch, private pool, and pet friendly. Pet friendly (under 25lbs) $200 non refundable pet rent.

The house we rented worked out perfectly for our family and dog. The pool was an added bonus and a path from the back of the house led to the beach a block and a half away. It was located on a quiet cul de sac.Wish there were outside umbrellas by the pool and outdoor seating area.

Unique property. Wife and three young adult children were on IOP for a wedding. Cool weather eliminated any swimming but the pool looked great and was serviced the first day of our stay. Tons of deck space with a sufficient number of chairs (no chaises) and tables. Screened porch off the side connects to house and deck. Main entry into a large space with den in front then kitchen and dining connected to another large living area with vaulted ceiling and fireplace. Bedroom downstairs was a little dank on arrival but fine after some mid-march AC. The main floor has two beds, one with an attached bath. These are the smaller of the 5 bedrooms and had no TV. Other living areas had largesh flat screens. Office/play at top of stair leads to a large BR with double sink bath. Hallway to another large BR with tons of work space also with a connected bath. Stairway down the back leads to the first den/LR. A bit dated in areas with mostly small showers. Requires some maintenance. The main HVAC did not work and internet went down daily and had to be manually rebooted. It's about 400-500 yards to the beach but a pleasant walk. A bit pricey for mid March compared to other SC beaches. We enjoyed the stay. Also convenient to the local marina. Seems like there should have been some access to the garage as parking was limited. Lots of locked closets and cabinets.

We loved this house - we were 5 couples and two toddlers and everyone had privacy. The main floor is outstanding . We were disappointed to find no essentials like salt and pepper, sugar. We had to buy EVERYthing. I also bought plastic cups for the kids, dish tabs, extra dish towel, and laundry soap. I think a beach house should come with chairs umbrella and towels. . Every other rental we have used was fully equipped. But the garage is locked, so nothing is available. I Renters should be advised There is construction on either side, but work was stopped during our week. Pool is unheated, so unusable. But the house is clean, roomy, comfy and we had a great time.

Well we didn’t get to stay long because of Hurricane Florence but the time we had was great. The house is beautiful, this is actually our second year renting this home. We really enjoyed the pool out back and liked that it is fenced in with a lock since we had little ones with us. They also have toys upstairs for the kids which was a big hit for our son. It is really close to the beach too which is nice.
It does have a lot of stairs so bring child gates if you have young children. They have a door downstairs that leads into bedroom but it was locked with no key so we were unable to use it which was unfortunate. Overall we had a nice stay in a beautiful home and would love to rent this home again!

Very comfortable, clean and lots of room to spread out. I would, however, suggest changing the bed sizes upstairs to king bedrooms. These rooms are spacious enough and would be more comfortable.
The downstairs bedroom with the 2-queen beds need a dehumidifier. It smells musty and damp. The wireless internet didn’t work well.

The house is great. The location is near the beach with easy walks to and from and just a bike ride over to the marina, stores and restaurants. We rented a boat for a few hours one day and the guys went on a fishing trip. The house needed some lightbulbs and a little better cleaning but it was a taken care of with a call.

We were here for a family wedding and chose to stay on Isle of Palms with our immediate family. This house provided a place for us to all be together. We liked that each bedroom had access to it's own bathroom making it nice for multiple families. We didn't do any cooking (prepared snacks and coffee) but the kitchen seemed well stocked.

We had a great time. Plenty of space. The dishes, cooking utensils, and pots and pans were all updated and very user friendly. Even a crock pot! The only negative thing I can even possibly say is that there is an additional unlocked room that looks to be inhabited. We eventually figured that it was not part of the rental and we very quickly exited and hoped we would not have an extra guest. Maybe for future rental that room should not be made accessible.

We recently rented this location for a milestone birthday gathering. The house was the perfect size for our group - even bigger than we'd expected - with plenty of space for us all to gather for meals. The kitchen was well-appointed and equipped, which is always nice (we like to cook as a group). The location was easy to find and so convenient to the beach. We've definitely saved this location for future trips and hope to return soon.

Was on IOP for a wedding. Spoke to sales person at real estate company to set up rental. They did promise a discount for renting multiple house. We ended up renting several house from them and then they refused the discount. Very shady way to operate. Bad customer service once I signed contract and gave them my money. I recommend the house but not the company.

This home is great, but, as with any pet friendly rental, and close to the end vacationing season it was in need of a deep cleaning. Inside and out. Cabinets, drawers in kitchen were filthy, closets dusty. Tried to spend a little time cleaning
When I could. Wouldn't keep me from returning to this home. Had more disappoint from Island Realty, The first person I encountered was somewhat rude and she was also the last person I happen to see when checking out. She may need a little attitude adjusting. Additionally had a few issues with Keys working and calling for maintenance. Give the home a 4 1/2,

For our family, ideal location at the end of a cul-de-sac yet 2 blocks from the beach. Pool was ideal for our 10 month old granddaughter and 2 1/2-year-old twin grandsons. Playroom was good for the kids. House laid out to be open enough, yet provide privacy. No blender nor DVD player. A little surprised by that. New renters need to bring these items. We understand that there is a deep cleaning at the end of the season. Suggest a deep cleaning midseason. Suggest golf cart rental as the marina is a short drive. We immediately re-rented the unit for the same week next year.

We used this home for a girls trip and everyone had a wonderful time! We spent the majority of our time at the pool out back which was perfect for what we were looking for. Those of us who wanted to visit the beach had easy access as it was just a few blocks away. Everything was clean and as expected. I would recommend bringing beach towels as those were not included. Fun week away and would definitely recommend to a friend. Overall a great experience!

House was clean upon arrival. We loved the all the space and the ppo. The outdoor shower was a bonus. We had lots of hot water for showers even when multiple people were bathing in different parts of the house at the same time. About 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The only complaint is that we saw a lot of bugs in the house. We first saw them in the kitchen--roaches. We called Island Realty and they said someone would come and spray within 24 hours. I'm not sure if anyone came. Either way, we saw bugs/roaches every single day. I've heard this is common in the low country but it's something I could not grow accustomed to seeing. Would definitely rent here again if the bug issue was resolved.

My family and I had an amazing time at 31 Sand Dollar Drive. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The private pool was very nice and provided a perfect alternative to the beach. The beach is also just a short golf cart ride away or about a 5 minute walk. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

I live locally and was familiar with what to expect from the IOP area. Therefore, I found the property to suit our needs with the exception of a few areas. Judging from the flies, maggots, and smell, the exterior trash cans had not been emptied in some time and the waste & recycle bins were overflowing and had not been taken to the roadside for multiple weeks. Secondly, the outdoor grill is rusted beyond repair and represents a fire/explosion danger. Additionally, I made a lost & found claim on May 11th that has yet to be resolved. Finally, guests should be advised prior to the arrival of any property maintenance crew. I was awakened very early one morning to find landscapers unprofessionally dressed in cut-offs and ripped tshirts cutting the grass and cleaning the pool. Warning to their arrival would have been appreciated; particularly since the rear bedroom doesn't come with blinds or curtains!

This house easily accommodated our family group of 4 adults and 6 children ages 14 to 8 months. The younger children enjoyed the playroom and the adults enjoyed having morning coffee on the small screened porch. The upholstered furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was adequate, though every knife was incredibly dull and there was no colander large enough to drain pasta. The beach was easily accessible.

Sand Dollar Drive 31 was a spectacular home for our family vacation. The house itself had a very cozy/homey feel, was extremely well stocked (in terms of dishes, cutlery, pots/pans, etc), and had a unique lay-out that accommodated our extended family very well. The pool was lovely, fenced in, had ample chaise lounges, and had a staired entry to the water which was great for grandma and small children! Both living areas had large TV's and there was a full bath for each bedroom. The outdoor shower had both hot and cold water and there were other outdoor hoses located around the house as well. The children's play room was another added bonus and had numerous puzzles, toys, books, etc. Absolutely fabulous rental property.

This house was perfect for our family. Having a private pool was wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped and the furnishings were comfortable. We will likely rent this house again.

Perfect in every way! We stayed here when in The area for my daughter's wedding. It was even more than we expected. Beautiful, more than well equipped, spacious, beautiful, and very large. We couldn't have had a better rental. Located in a very quiet residential neighborhood just 1 1/2 blocks from the beach with your own private pool this is the perfect rental. Island Realty was super to work with and made our stay even better. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time this weekend. This house was really tucked back at the end of a cul-de-sac and it was a fairly short walk to a very open beach access. It was really spacious and the multiple living rooms connected by a kitchen provided a great space for everyone to be together without it being over crowded. It had a great and spacious porch. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

The property and location were great. Exactly what we were looking for. The proximity and access to the beach were convenient. The house amenities, furniture, etc. were all as advertised. The property was clean and well maintained.
