Comfortable house in Wild Dunes. Short walking distance to the beach, the Pavilion and the dock on the lagoon. Book thru Island Realty, not VRBO! VRBO charges a fee and then Island Realty charges a fee. Paid a lot extra for nothing! Save the money and visit Island Realty's site! Supplies were a bit low. We had to conserve on towels and toilet paper. There was no hand soap. There were lots of beds so it was nice to have flexible sleeping arrangements. Neat house!

We loved everything about this home, from its proximity to the resort and easy beach access. The home is well-stocked with everything you need for a fun family gathering. We especially enjoyed all of the comfortable seating and beds. Kitchen is great - would suggest having coffee filters on hand for guests’ first mornings at least since we can’t pre buy those, not knowing the type we’ll need. Other than that we loved everything and will choose this home again. Thanks!

We were pleased with the house even though it was a little dated. A king size bed would be nice in the master bedroom. Location was very convenient inside the property. The only main issue was a sewer smell coming from the laundry room.

We had a nice experience at 13 Sandcrab Ct. The home was in a nice area with close access to the beach. Had it been a little more equipped, it would have been an even better experience. For example, there were just 8 bath towels (one per guest), one kitchen towel, barely enough toilet paper, and only one roll of paper towels. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Our experience with a Fall rental was very good. We had great weather and the beach was not crowded at all. The location of the property was very convenient to the beach access. The house was very comfortable. The only drawback with the house was the common areas did not have blinds or curtains. It was a little more open than we like, especially in the evenings. We had a very good experience with this rental property and look forward to returning in the future.

This property was very nice and everything is accurate as the photos show. A few things to take into account with this property is that the beach is probably 1/4 mile away but a very easy walk through the woods to get there but it's not handicap accessible. During the weekdays there were very few people on the beach but it was more crowded on the weekend which is to be expected. The other thing to keep in mind is that you are a good 25 to 30 mits depending on traffic to get into Charleston itself. This was a very secure home as you have to obtain a gate pass just to enter the property and there is a very nice golf course on the backside of the home. We saw deer here everyday from the golf course to the beach! I would recommend this property for a family vacation.

This home was a good choice for our family vacation. There were 10 of us and the size of the house was just fine. Several comfortable air mattresses took the place of the sofa bed. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra linens for the air beds.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
The short walk to the beach was easy.

This house is a short walk to the pool and the beach, which was nice for us with a toddler. We loved the sunroom as well as the quiet road of the house to play outside. There were some permanent residences and the neighbors were so friendly. The kitchen and bathrooms could use updating but this was not a big deal. The furniture was all very comfy. We would rent this house again.

We had such a pleasant stay at 13 Sandcrab Court and at Wild Dunes. The house was perfectly sized for us - family with toddler plus in laws - and could have accommodated a few more kids comfortably. Even though it was not "beachfront" - we were surprised just how close and easy the walk was. We would love to stay here again!

Two families of 4 each rented this property for 1 week; excellent location with easy access to a relatively sparsely populated stretch of beach. Property was as advertised and clean on arrival. Interior furnishings were adequate for our group, if general appearance was a little dated (probably reflected in a slightly lower price point, so we didn't mind). One minor quibble - a fully stocked kitchen should include dry measuring cups and a spatula.

Nice house in great location. The only issue we had was with small roaches in the kitchen, which is not out of the ordinary. The managing company quickly responded and sent a pest control person out right away. The bugs seemed to be getting in through a small opening under the door frame leading into the kitchen, to the right of the refrigerator. Also, a large skillet should be added to the kitchenware.

Our family was well pleased with this very nice cottage and it's closeness to the beach. We loved the 'sunroom' for hanging out. The high chair came in handy for our 10 month old granddaughter too ! Loved the plushness of the bath towels ! The dishwasher needs replaced ! And the chains on the nice porch swing down under the deck need replaced also. Simply a pleasant stay for all of us and we'd definitely rent this cottage again! We did take our own 'stadium grill' as the one there was unusable, but we knew that ahead of time. Would surely recommend this 13 Sandcrab Cottage to others!

Our family enjoyed our time in this home very much. The beach is just a short pleasant walk through a beautiful neighborhood. Great location. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. We toured Ft. Booking and check-in were smooth and uncomplicated. The house is sweet & was a perfect destination for us and our favorite BFF family! The adults spread out to read or cook or waste time, and the kids took over the sunroom. The sunroom sofa was a perfect spot to stargaze. Quick walk to the beach with the nearby access. The fridge wasn't closing all the way unless we pushed it hard, so I hope that was fixed. Otherwise, a delightful stay at a well-kept property & we can't wait to return next year!

It was pleasant overall. The door was very difficult to unlock. One of the keys didn't fit any of the locks. The dishwasher needed a new basket as many of the prongs had rusted and broken. There were only two garbage bags for a seven day stay.

This was a rather modestly updated home but very clean, excellent layout and more than enough square footage to accommodate the 6 of us. We loved that there was more than just one space to sit and watch tv at night and the sun-room was great for the kids to do a couple crafts in the morning. We're very familiar with Wild Dunes, having both owned and rented in the resort. This location for a 3 br/2ba house is amazing. Walk across the backyard to Palm Blvd and about 1/2 block to the beach access path which is a very easy stroll through the dunes to the beach. The house has a lovely florida room which we used to the exclusion of the living room. Beds were comfortable and both linens and kitchen utensils plentiful. Informed housekeeping that the pans had been put away without washing by previous occupants and never noticed by housekeeper. Kitchen and baths seem to be pretty original but clean and in good condition. Our issue presented as we opened the house and were met with a terrible mildew/wet/mold(?) smell. After opening everything up and exploring a bit, we decided the spongy floor in the utility closet must be the culprit and kept that door closed the rest of the stay. This assessment was born out by the spongy bottom in the master bath tub which butts up against the utility area. There must be or, have been in the past, a leak. We definitely hope whatever the issue is, it is resolved as we'd consider this rental for the future if we didn't have to put up with strong odor.

Perfect three bedroom for five friends who escaped the winter blues with a January beach week. Immaculate, comfy beds, room to spread out with lots of seating areas, kitchen is small but well stocked. Sun porch area didn't have any blinds or drapes so it was warm on a sunny afternoon and we used ceiling fan. Excellent location and easy walk to beach on walkway adjacent to house. Island Realty provided a very smooth check in procedure.

We arrived thinking we were in for a nice relaxing vacation. This turned out to be totally wrong. We knew we were in trouble when we opened the refrigerator and one of the shelves was held together by duct tape and another one was broken and lying on top of the refrigerator. As we looked around we noticed several other issues with the property. It definitely was in need of an exterminator. My wife is terrified of spiders and it had its share. We were also disappointed to find out only 1 of 4 tv's was working and the wifi was out. We called island realty and they set up for the cable company to show up Thursday. They set up the appointment for the technician to show up between 10:00 and 12:00. The kicker was they wanted us to wait for the technician. I told them I am on vacation and that wasn't going to happen since our trip is over that Saturday. A long story short this place needs some work.

This house was perfect for our two families. It was clean and provided the perfect place for us to begin and end our days, including one living area that was taken over by the kids and a separate room that was used by the adults. The only negative about the place is that the hot water ran out after 3-4 showers so we had to space them out throughout the day. Other than that, we loved being so close to the beach and also an easy drive to Sullivan's and downtown Charleston. Great place!

The house was incredibly spacious and perfect for a week long (or longer) stay! The sunroom with an additional television and sitting area made the house feel twice as big for my family and parents. Our daughter had the kids room to herself, but we easily could have fit two more kids in her room. The house was very well kept and very clean. We did have to call maintenance due the the refrigerator, but they came out quickly and had the problem fixed in no time. The beach isn't right across the street, but is definitely walkable even with our three year old in tow. It took us about 5 minutes to walk over, but we had the beach to ourselves! We did utilize the pool at The Dunes one day with the sportspass which was a nice change of pace. We would definitely stay here again!

This property location and layout were excellent. 5 minute walk to the beach. Property description should include a floor plan for this great layout. Master bedroom and bath are on one side of the house, with the other two bedrooms and bath on the other. The living room and sunroom are inbetween. This makes it great for kids on one side. We are a family of 6 and it was very spacious. Sun room is my favorite. Bright and inviting. We would stay there again. We found a great place for afternoon coffee/lattes/ice cream on Sullivan's Island called Café Medley (about a 15 minute drive from the house). A big plus for us coffee addicts. We also rented bikes for the week from Carolina Bike and Beach. It couldn't have been easier. They dropped and picked up the bikes at the house. Great fun biking on the island trails and very flat!

Excellent annual renewal of our family week at Wild Dunes. Excellent proximity to the beach for being beyond 2nd Row. The finished sun porch added vital living space for this cabin style home. Great swing underneath with sea breeze. An outdoor shower is always a hit as well.
