We loved our stay at this house in Wild Dunes! Perfect size for our family of 6 but would have been comfortable with 8. We did have an issue with the AC at one point and they were able to respond and get it fixed immediately which made the rest of the stay very comfortable. Short walk to the beach which made it a breeze to carry all of our beach gear everyday. Only a 4 min drive to the golf courses as well. We can't wait to stay here again next year!!

This house was amazing! It had everything we needed for a family of 5. We cooked several nights, the house had everything we needed. The updated furniture was great. We really enjoyed the 5 minute walk to the resort pools and 10 min walk to the beach. We hope to come back again soon!

Nice neighborhood setting for our family vacation during the Cooper River Bridge Run. It was a quick walk to enjoy the beach and the golfing. We cooked dinners every night and had every thing we needed for a home away from home. Highly recommend and we definitely hope to be back in years to come.

This was the perfect house for a weekend getaway to spend time with my sister! The house is just a short walk from the beach and some cute shops, and there is a place to rent bikes nearby which is a great way to explore Wild Dunes. The house itself was clean and cozy. It is clearly well-maintained, looked freshly painted, and the furniture seemed brand new. The decor was very nice--really loved some of the art!--with subtle touches that made it feel like "home." The house had everything you could need for a beach getaway, and then some! I can't wait for another sister weekend--we will definitely be staying here again!

Clean and quiet three bedroom home. Lovely sun porch area has no coffee table despite one depicted in,listing photos so no place to put your feet or your drink. Other narrow living area had a bizarre arrangement of an outdoor wooden bench and an oversized chair from the1980’s in original upholstered cream fabric that was so disgusting and stained no one would sit in it. Beds and bathrooms were comfortable so if you need a place for two or three people, this might be a lower cost option. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be room for more people to sit and watch tv.

Perfect location, cozy, simple home. Our group was 3 adults, 4 teens and my 80 yr old mom. The location made it easy for *all* of us to walk to the resort across the street and swim in and lounge by the pools with cocktails in hand, use the large hot tub, and play on the beautiful, wide beach. The just house just needs one more (sleeper) sofa in the main living area and some fresh carpet to be perfect. Wild Dunes and the IOP are the absolute best for family time and relaxation.

A relaxing beach vacation. Weather was unusually moderate for July, with daytime highs in the low 80's. Since we booked last minute, we couldn't be choosy about the location. The house was a little further from beach than we would have preferred. An LSV (golf cart) rental would be a must in the future.

Property was very nice overall. A long walk to the beach, and no map provided to show the nearest beach access. Elevator, although nice, had a terrible musty odor. The range hood didn't work, bathtub didn't drain well and had a few palmetto bugs. Otherwise, place was very clean and well furnished. Would recommend it with the above stated caveats.

Quiet cut-de-sac in Wild Dunes community. Great biking trails and 10 minute walk to beach. The house needs to be sprayed inside and out for spiders - lots of webs covering the outside eaves and windows, and we had a number of small spiders inside the house - a visit from pest control should take care of the problem.

This vacation was so very therapeutic--great location--4 minute walk to the beaches. Extremely quiet home and neighbors and great access to walking/running/biking trails. Easy drive to restaurants and other services. Awesome seafood for purchase at Simmons or Harris Teeter. Kayaking available for private rentals, but we did not avail at this time. (we have in the past.) Island Realty-easy check in and out. Highly recommend.

Love the vacation. We enjoyed the sun room. There were too many steps to climb daily and the elevator did not look like something we should get in. It had unfinished plywood walls and was a dark hole.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the sun room and your vacation. The majority of the homes in the Low Country are elevated and require steps to access. While 43 Twin Oaks does have steps to access, it also features the bonus of having an elevator. Residential elevators do differ in size and operation than your typical commercial elevator. Although they are not as inviting as a commercial elevator, they can be useful for loading and unloading of luggage and groceries.

Great place to rent. We would definitely rent this house again. We had 3 adults and 4 kids - two 4yr / 2.5yr / 3mo. Was a great setup for us. The walk to the beach wasn't bad even with the toddlers but highly recommend bringing a wagon or something else to take things to and from the beach. We had a BOB stroller for the 3mo old which worked fine because there are no stairs to get to the beach.

The stairs were a bit slippery when wet - take care to hold on or just use the elevator.

The only negative is there isn't an official pool option - but the pool nearby at the Village was accessible and they didn't check to make sure you were staying there.

We enjoyed our vacation stay. The house was just as the pictures were on your internet listing. Everything was clean and comfortable! The only item that needs some attention are the drains in the bathrooms. Very slow and you are standing in water that hasn’t drained. Maybe some Liquid Plummer would fix this.

This house was just perfect for our family of 4 on our recent long weekend getaway. The house was very clean and there was just the perfect amount of furniture, it wasn't cluttered so we had room for all of our stuff. We were just a block from the beach and loved the walking trails throughout Wild Dunes. The furniture was very comfy and clean and we enjoyed college football on the big TV. The bathrooms have been recently updated so that was nice and there was a ton of storage in the master. The beds were also comfy!

My only complaint was that the mosquitos were terrible and the stairs and deck were covered with leaves and twigs. There had apparently been some strong storms just before we arrived and that was probably the reason. Other than that, it was great!

All in all we had a great stay. Loved the house. I would encourage better maintenance around the house, specifically the outside. There were branches all over the drive, stairs, and patio. Leaves covered the stairs. I actually slipped down the stairs and injured my back. Not fun when you are on vacation.

Great one level home. Had everything we needed for us and three small kids. Enough room so we weren't tripping over each other but not too big where you lose track of little ones. Kitchen had all the necessities. Walk to beach was not bad but glad we brought a wagon to get stuff and kids back and forth. Only minor complaint would be that the mosquitos were bad. May have just been the recent weather but I would suggest spraying outside to keep them under control.

The house is in a small cul-de-sac not far from the beach. It was cozy and clean inside. The bathrooms were newly renovated. Had a small problem with sink and tub not draining. Should be an easy fix. There were soaps, shampoo, lotion in bathrooms and dish soap in kitchen. That was a nice perk! The driveway is very steep and narrow, hard to park our SUV in the carport. The deck and steps needed to be blown clean. There was no outside shower as advertised, but the rental company worked to compensate. We loved the beach and comfy house and would definitely go back!

I am very upset with the way we were treated by Island Realty. We rented a condo at Oceanside Villas in June for a August 6 arrival. We were called the morning of Aug 6 . When I returned the call, I was put on hold for 5 minutes then someone came on the phone and told me there was a problem and my rental was cancelled. They would refund my money or I could reschedule in the future. This was the day of our arrival. I told him that was unacceptable and he responded that there was no other alternative, it was a hot week and everyone was full. When I asked to talk to a manager, he said he was the manager and he would have Linda call me back and we needed to stay in our driveway for an hour and wait on call. When Linda called back, we were told there was structure damage to the building and whole building had been closed. She said there was nothing available in the other buildings. She finally offered the house at Wild dunes and told us it was near the beach and had an elevator . The elevator was locked, the house had extensive stairs and was no where near the beach. When we visited the beach at Isle of Palms Thursday, we were shocked when people were at our building staying on the same floor and above our unit. Why were we picked not to stay? It took a long time to coordinate schedules and we had to lose a day due the fact house was not available until Sunday. I think we deserve an apology from the company for the way we were treated. We have been using Island Realty for over 25 years. I do not know if we will use them again.

This is the second year in a row that my daughter , son-law and two grandsons and myself have stayed at 43 Twin Oaks. We have vacationed for the past five years or so in the Charleston area. That being said our favorite is IOP. Island realty has been great to work with and we would gladly use them again.
We really like the location of this property and the things around it.
The property is in very good shape with the exception of the bathrooms. Both baths need to be really updated. They are clean but very dated and if the water is turned on elsewhere you have a cold shower. The updates to the kitchen are great and enclosing the porch was a terrific idea. The elevator is a great assets particularly for older adults, grocery unloading and carrying tired grandkids in.
Several other houses in the cul de sac are being updated and it is time to update the baths here and a few other little touch ups.

Stayed in 43 Twin Oaks the wk of 6/14/15. Normally look for a condo ocean front/view but waited too late to make reservation. The distance to ocean was 5-7 min walk...we carried a large canopy and beach chairs each day which made the walk more challenging (I noted that some owners provide golf cart access to renters!). Inside of unit was clean and of average decor (photos are accurate). Outside could use some cleaning/sprucing up. Internet worked well in unit. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable and ready for replacement. Overall unit was accurately protrayed and reasonably priced (discounted from Ocean front/view). Favorite seafood during the week was The Boathouse @ Breach Inlet.

We would definitely recommend 43 Twin Oaks. The property manager was prompt, responsive and everyone was courteous. The house was clean and well kept. The pictures provided a good idea of the layout. We had plenty of room and it was so nice having our family staying together instead of renting individual hotel rooms. For those who need it, the elevator was an added plus (even for toting luggage).

Loved the sun room. The furniture was very comfortable, very spacious and bright. The pictures showed a gas grill and there was none which was a disappointment. Lots of dishes, silverware, and glassware but not much else I the kitchen accessory area but knowing that I would bring my what I needed and would rent this property again.
