Independence Day is right around the corner.

Have you figured out your weekend plans? The Charleston area, Isle of Palms, and Sullivan's Island all have many different activities going on to celebrate the holiday. Whether you want to watch an amazing firework show at the USS Yorktown or you want to keep it more "low-key" and enjoy the show right on the beach, the Charleston area is the perfect spot to celebrate with your family and friends.

4th of July Blast at Patriots Point

Where: Patriots Point | 40 Patriots Point Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464

How awesome do a professional firework show and a beach music band on the Charleston Harbor sound? Celebrate one of the year's biggest celebrations at the USS Yorktown on Patriots Point. With one of the best views of Charleston Harbor, you are guaranteed to have a unique and memorable experience!

Details:

    • All landside activities start at 6 p.m. and are free

    • The access to the USS Yorktown flight deck will open at 8:00 p.m.

    • Fireworks start at sundown, typically around 9:20 p.m.

    • Live entertainment and music will start at 6:00 p.m.

    • Parking is limited and will cost $20 per vehicle

Admission:

$25 Tickets for the fireworks show from the flight deck are currently on sale on EVENTBRITE. From there, you can see all of the details of what is included with each ticket purchase.
Uncle Sam Jam

Where: The Mount Pleasant Pier | Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

*According to a recent announcement by Charleston County Parks, the 2023 Uncle Sam Jam has been CANCELLED due to very limited parking during the construction of new amenities at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park and the anticipation of large July 4th crowds. All advance ticket holders will receive a full refund. Please contact Park & Program Services by email or by phone at 843-795-4386 with any questions.

Dance to live music from Bobby Alvarez and The Supernaturals while you enjoy the breezy atmosphere of the Charleston Harbor at the Mount Pleasant Pier. The pier stretches 1250 feet out into the harbor at the foot of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. This spot will display some of the best views of beautiful fireworks throughout the night.

Details:

    • You can purchase beverages, treats, and snacks at the event.

    • Gates will open at 7:00 p.m., and live music starts at 7:30 p.m.

    • No outside coolers or alcohol allowed

Admission:

    • You can purchase tickets online in advance and on-site

    • Advance tickets are $8 per person. Day-of tickets are $10 per person if the event hasn't sold out

    • On-site tickets, if available, will only be sold via credit card

    • Limited spaces are available.

4th of July Fireworks at Front Beach Isle of Palms

Where: Front Beach | Isle of Palms, SC

Get the best of both worlds – the beach and a firework show! Not in the mood to go anywhere? Some of the area's best fireworks are where you are staying, the beach! Enjoy the fireworks this Independence Day off of Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island with other guests and locals in the area. For more information, visit the City of Isle of Palms website.

    • Paid parking is available at the Municipal Parking Lots on Pavilion Drive

    • The beach between 21st Avenue to 3rd Avenue at Sea Cabins with close at 6:30 p.m.

    • Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. in the front beach area
