Local Music and Nightlife: One of our top picks for a fun outing is The Windjammer. Located on the beach, this venue gets livelier as the day turns to night. Being “IOPs Premier Beach Club since 1972,” The Windjammer brings great tunes and convivial entertainment, such as beach volleyball, to locals and new guests alike. Visitors can also enjoy lunch and dinner with a kitchen open from 11:30-1:30 AM. As the sun goes down, drink specials begin and the fun doesn’t end until 2 AM.
Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms
Should you be interested in a round of golf, Isle of Palms is home to Wild Dunes, a 1,600-acre gated community which has two of the finest golf courses in the Southeast. Isle of Palms Beaches

General Beach Rules:
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited
- Fireworks are prohibited
- No glass bottles allowed on beach
- No motorized vehicles on beach
Dogs On The Beach: Dogs are permitted to be off-leash from:
- 5 a.m. until 9 a.m.—April 1st through September 14th (Peak Season)
- 4 p.m. until 10 a.m. –September 15th through March 31st (Off Peak Season)
*During all other hours dogs are permitted on the beach but must be on leash.
If you have an interest in marine life, Isle of Palms is home to a large number of turtles, which nest during summer months. Isle of Palms visitors can sometimes spot sea turtles on the beach! Their nests, which are carefully monitored by our own "Turtle Team", are a unique attraction to the island. Should you be interested in seeing more marine animals, speak with our concierge about a special rate at the South Carolina Aquarium in downtown Charleston. The Aquarium includes a Sea Turtle Hospital to rehabilitate injured or sick turtles before releasing them back into their natural habitat.
