Halloween in the Lowcountry

Things are starting to get spooky in the Lowcountry.

Halloween is only a few weeks away, and so are a number of fun events all around Charleston. If you are taking a trip down to the Charleston area during Halloween week, here are some of our favorite events around town. There are options for families with young children, adults wanting to relive some Halloween cult classics, and every group in between.

Halloween Howl

This family-fun event hosted by the Charleston police department provides a safe alternative to trick-or-treat and check-out cool police car displays. There will be prizes, live music, food, and more!

Set sail this Halloween on the Carnival Sunshine and fill your holiday with spooky-fun festivities. In addition to everything folks already love about Carnival cruises, traditional Halloween activities like costume contests, horror movies, pumpkin carving contests, and themed dance parties will be hosted on deck. And just for the little spook-ees, there's trick-or-treating, costume contests, games, photo-ops, and special desserts!

Come on Barbie, let's go Halloween party! If you can't get "Kenough" of the Barbie craze, grab your girls and join us for an enchanting evening in Barbie Land at Charleston's iconic pink bar. Ghostly Tide Tales

Crawl for a cause! Crawls for Paws & Charleston Animal Society bring you the most horrific and yet cutest Halloween event in town. They'll be lining up some of Charleston's best bars, drinks specials, swag, Halloween decor, and over $1,000 in costume contest prize money.

Additional Details: Pick up your scorecards and other swag, meet our puppies up for adoption, and then crawl to the other participating bars on your scorecard. Don't forget to get your scorecard marked at each bar! The first 400 people to check in will get our signature Nightmare on King Street koozie. Professional photographers and videographers will be on-site to capture the fun. Participants gain free entry (with a ticket) to all participating bars.

*Drinking is 100% optional! You are not required to drink or purchase drinks at any bar in order to participate and get your scorecard stamped.**
