If you’re in for great burgers and drinks, the ambiance at Poe’s Tavern is the perfect choice for you! Poe’s Tavern is named after…yep, you guessed it…the famous Edgar Allen Poe. He called Sullivan’s Island “home” during his time stationed at the nearby Fort Moultrie. The quaint outdoor dining area will put you right in the center of downtown Sullivan’s, allowing you to take in the island’s historic charm!
Once named as USA Today’s 10 Best Isle of Palms/Sullivan’s Island restaurants, enjoy the blends of European and Mediterranean cuisine at The Obstinate Daughter! The Obstinate Daughter serves brunch (only on Saturday & Sunday), lunch, and dinner. The menu includes pizza, pasta, small plates, sandwiches, and a raw bar. When visiting, you will have to try the Chef’s favorite dish: mussels!

This local family-owned restaurant is one of the only Irish pubs in the area, making Dunleavy’s Pub a local favorite. This Sullivan’s Island staple, located on the main drag, is known for its great tap selections including your favorite Irish beer, chargrilled wings, and the classic Reuben sandwich.
