Beautiful Places To Watch The Sunset In Charleston

It's the simple things that make for unforgettable memories. What better way to appreciate the natural beauty of the Charleston area then by chasing the breathtaking sunsets that fill the sky every night? The vibrant reds and calming pink hues paint the wide open Carolina skies for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are on the beach, the pier, or downtown, it's definitely a sight you won't want to miss. Below are a few of the best spots to park the car after a fun day and simply enjoy the evening views.

Breach Inlet

If you drive out to Thompson Park on Sullivan's Island there is a perfectly placed parking lot where you can watch the sun fade behind the Isle of Palms' and Sullivan's coastline. 

Brittlebank Park

Ravenel Bridge

If you are feeling adventurous, the views along the pedestrian path of the Ravenel Bridge are second to none. You can get a true bird's eye view of the sun setting behind the Holy City's skyline.

Shem Creek Boardwalk

​Parking: 469 W Coleman Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464

Venture out to Mt. Pleasant and explore over 2,200 feet of boardwalk. You and your group can unwind with a nice cocktail on the pier as you take in the tranquil sunset views over the harbor.
