The property is in a lovely, convenient, quiet neighborhood. It would have been more highly rated with some easy enhancements. Specifically, there are NO towel hooks, towel bars in the main bathroom. May not seem like a big deal but where do you put your towels to dry? Faucets are shaky in the main bathroom. The dining chairs are the back deck are completely rusted through on the base, making them unstable. Be sure to bring the basic kitchen supplies such as sugar, salt/pepper, coffee filters, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies because there are none. Beds are very comfortable, as were bed linens and pillows. Appreciated having Cable TV and decent TVs.

Inside was semi renovated and clean but outside and back porch was unusable. The property is not maintained and the bugs prohibited the use of anything outside. The back porch and outside shower were not usable.

Our rental was very clean and updated. It was great that our pup Noa got to stay with us. This property was close to everything and was in a nice neighborhood. Definitely will be back. The only negative was that we had to wait an extra hour before we could get in to our rental.

This location was so close to the beach and we loved this accessibility. It had a great backyard for our dog. The inside of the home was much better than the outside appearance. When we first pulled up to the house, it was so dirty and the yard unkempt, that I almost returned to the realty office. The furnishings in the living room could use an update. There was not a bedspread/cover on the master bedroom’s bed which was odd. It just had a brown cover. Overall we had a great stay but the place could use some love and a few updates that would really make it WOW!

Sweet little house with a lovely beachy theme. Great location for driving, walking or biking to most of what the island offers. Clean, cozy, and well-appointed. The yard could use a little attention, and the gas canister on the BBQ was empty when we went to cook dinner. Luckily we had friends on the island that lent us theirs. But for the price on IOP it was a gem.

This was our 3rd stay at #37 21st Street. We really enjoyed the house. It’s a home away from home. It is less than 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and grocery store. The house was spotless and the kitchen has everything you need.
The Island Realty staff are exceptional.

We had a wonderful trip-the house was clean & well equipped (minus a few small items) and was in a good location. The kitchen layout is great, and the appliances are up to date & easy to use. There’s no shortage of televisions, and we didn’t have a moment’s trouble with the WiFi, which is unusual in a rental! Nice backyard for our dog, and a comfortably furnished deck.
Some suggestions:
Put blackout curtains in the front bedroom. Lights from cars on Waterway are sleep-disturbing.
We needed, but did not have; potholders, a dustpan, and matches (or lighter) for candles.
The backyard gate needs repair. It would not stay closed.
The house was very clean, but there was an overpowering odor of bleach that lasted through our first night there.

We had a great stay in this small updated house...best thing is a fenced yard. The only negative is that it doesn’t have a master bath, but it’s all relative. Beach is walkable and so is the town.

This was perfect for the two of us. Very close to the beach and shops. The house was clean and well equipped. Updates done, are great, but will need some work in the future. Lovely backyard with grill. Will definitely recommend.

The house was clean and comfortable upon our arrival. We loved having the back yard to free us up from leashing our dog when he had to go out....nice to just make coffee while he was outside. We had some ants but the office promptly replied and brought something for them. Beds very comfortable and convenient to beach and grocery store.

We rented for two families, 4 adults and 3 children, over Labor Day weekend. The primary reasons we chose this rental was the separate bedroom for the older kids, the location, and the affordability. The home delivered on all of those points. We were close to the beach, dining, and grocery store which was helpful for our family vacation. Beds were comfortable and we had most everything we needed in terms of amenities. There were a few things that would make me search for a different house for our next trip. Upon check-in, we removed our shoes and immediately felt sand/dirt under our feet throughout the entire house like it had not been cleaned. I attempted to vacuum, but it didn't seem to help. We had to wash our feet before getting into bed every night because they were filthy. Something easily fixed with a mopping in between guests but it bothered all of us so much I had to include in my review. The living room furniture had visible wear. Completely understand furniture takes a beating with guests, it just may be time for a cleaning or replacement. Overall a fine rental for the price, great location!

We spent a week at Isle of Palm during a five day baseball tournament inMt Pleasant for our 13 year old grandson.
The location was convenient to the beach, grocery store and baseball park.

The property management was excellent. The property itself was pretty good but not class A. The house was obviously set up for rental and not a place lived in by the owner. For example, a king size bed is an attractive feature to list when renting, so it had one, but it didn't hardly fit in the room so one side of the bed had no bedside table. A queen and table would have been better. Much of the renovation, especially the plumbing, appeared to have been done by an amateur. But the interior was for the most part very new and modern, extremely clean, and very comfortable. So if you are okay with putting up with a few minor issues (no sink stoppers, inner shower curtain that doesn't reach the floor, loose faucets, broken shower caddy) this is an acceptable choice and you'll be fine. You can get a better sorted out place for more money, but then you would be paying more money. You get what you pay for and this property is a decent choice for the money. Clean is a high priority and this was immaculate. I will say again, property management is very attentive and responsive which is good insurance if you do have any issues.

This was a great home for our family of 5 and our dogs. There is a fenced in back yard for the dogs. You are only a couple of blocks from the beach - easy walking distance and close to the major grocery store on the island.

Loved our stay for family visiting local family. Perfect room for 2 Parents & 2 Children (in their 20s) and dog. Fenced in yard a plus! Any service issues (wifi & plumbing) were addressed immediately. Walkability to beach was perfect for our dog and close to town. Freshened up for rental property appreciated. After 2 weeks, we are missing it as our second home.

the two and a half months i spent here was exactly what i had hoped for. house is very nice inside. got a lot of use out the back deck, yard and grill! the property outside could use some serious tlc, however that may just be a time of the year thing. house isn't run down at all but landscaping and general look outside was the ONLY thing i would change about the trip. thanks to island realty and their staff. very attentive, always on top of any and all concerns i had.

After a house fire, Island Realty worked very hard to find us a place to stay. We were able to get this house for the 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. The kitchen was very well-equipped, there were plenty of extra linens, and a nice deck and yard for us and the dogs. And the location was perfect. We could walk to the beach or ride our bikes to the marina, and just a short golf cart ride to the grocery store! And also, plenty of parking for family and friends that stopped by to check on us. It's a great place to stay on IOP!!

We really enjoyed our stay at 37 21st Ave. We traveled down for a long weekend with our dog, who probably loved it more than anyone. The property was dog friendly with a fenced-in yard. My only complaint was that there was no hose on the property. We had to purchase a hose from Walmart in order to bathe our dog after the beach. That would be my only criticism.

Spent Memorial Day long weekend at this property and had a great time. Short walk to the beach. Great outdoor space. Home was well equipped and very clean. Loved that this space was pet friendly as well as our pup can't get enough of the beach. Only downside was trash pick up wasn't until the end of our stay and when we arrived trash can was already overflowing with bags stacked on ground and we were concerned animals would get in at night.

This was our second year That we rented this lovely 3bedroom home. As always, the hone was clean, fresh and very well appointed. We love the location . Close to the beach, grocery store, and restaurants.
Island Realty has great staff and are always ready to assist.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-29 pandemic, we shortened our stay to make it home.

You can park your car and walk to IOP restaurants, grocery, and Front Beach. The house is nicely updated with plenty of large screen TVs, good kitchen equipment and comfortable seating.

This rental property met all our needs for our family of 5. We were moving out daughter in to College of Charleston and vacationed for the week. Kitchen/house stocked with everything you need. All bedrooms have TV and the house was very clean. Outside could use some sprucing up but otherwise it was perfect for our family, and our dog!

Very cozy house and within walking distance to the beach. Comfy beds and overall good experience. The only negative thing was the fragranced cleaning products that smelled like Febreeze, as I’m allergic . Best if non scented cleaning products were used as we had to air the house out for all the days we were there. Would stay again if different products were used because we really loved the place.

Check in process was straight forward and easy. Home was easy to locate (though not sure why the property isn't named 37 21st Ave?) House was tastefully updated, clean, fully stocked and thoughtfully prepared by housekeeping staff. Beds are super comfortable! Kitchen had everything we needed for a stay-at-home meal and proximity to supermarket was helpful. Loved the outdoor patio and gas grill - outdoor shower was convenient after beach visits but could have used some clean up. Had an amazing dinner at Acme Lowcountry Kitchen and got some great local tips from the friendly staff. Only issues with the property were some bug appearances at night (especially in the bathrooms). There was also a good amount of dried blood on the underside of one of the bedroom's quilts. I'm not sure if housekeeping just didn't see it or if they do not wash them. The person I spoke to at the leasing office was apologetic and understanding, but never sent exterminator (they were out on other properties so we just used bug spray) and the home had other clean blankets we used as a substitute for the dirty quilt. Overall, I would return to this home in the future. With the other issues resolved (and maybe with a little landscaping) I can see this being a very popular rental!

Thursday through Sunday stay, for a college visit/tour at College of Charleston for our daughter, & a Hootie & the Blowfish concert on Daniel Island. Very convenient location and enjoyed a full day at the beach. House was clean and accommodating. Enjoyed our stay.
