The beach was not over crowded, the rental was very spacious and the layout was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend to friends and family. If we have the opportunity to come back to the Isle of Palms we would love you stay here again . We are from a county that was hit hard by Hurricane Helene and we had no power at home so it was so nice to be able to extend our stay and Island Realty was so nice & accommodating. We really appreciated it!!!

We had a great vacation while staying in the port o call, wonderful views of the beach and pool from the screened in porch and couch. Just into part of our stay, a hurricane hit and we ended up having to leave early. We contacted the rental company, and explained that local agencies were insinuating guest to leave the island and after speaking with the property manager, she issued us a refund for the remainder of our stay, which was much appreciated. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

The beach was fantastic and the condo was a little better than average. The king sized bed was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood; it was so hard. It definitely needs replacing. Also the toilet seat and furniture was quite worn and would do wonders for the aesthetics if replaced. Overall, it filled our needs and we had a great time at our second stay at Port O’ Call.

They say location is everything. That’s about all you’ll get with Port o Call D201. I expect more from a Wild Dunes property. This was adequate for a long weekend — comfortable, clean, and quaint. But it could use some TLC — rough around the edges, could use a paint job, pictures not on the wall and laying under the TV??? And the noise from the residents above, who started their daily routine of either moving furniture or bowling, we couldn’t figure it out, at 6 am every morning.

Excellent! Island Realty did a great job of facilitating the process, and the Port O' Call condo easily met our needs. It would have been helpful to have instructions for operating the washing machine, which was much different from ours at home. I looked up the user's manual online. Otherwise, everything was great.

The condo was overall very clean but unfortunately had some issues. Most were maintenance issues that we weren’t made aware of prior to our arrival. Hopefully they will be addressed before the next guest arrives. The biggest complaint is that the furniture was worn and dirty.

Condo is in a great place and great location. We have stayed at this location but different condo in the past. The only complaint I have right now is the fact that we had to do some cleaning once we arrived. The shower head had mold all over and some of the dishes were not clean, the blinds over the one window in the family room was broken (so think some maintenance /cleaning could have been a little better). Over all love the area and the location and had a blast. We certainly come back.

The condo was clean but could use some updating. The mattress is very uncomfortable. We could also hear our neighbors above us every evening so that made it difficult to get to sleep. We found a mattress topper in the cabinets the day we left that would have been nice to know was available. The TV’s could also use some instructions. The location was good, and the Island Realty people were friendly and helpful with questions.

This unit is a little less expensive than the others which is good but it could use some updating - particularly the bathroom. The bed was boxsprings but we were exhausted from all the beach activity so we didn’t miss our memory foam too much. You can see, hear and smell the ocean from the screenroom. This was our favorite part of the unit. It would be very helpful if someone could leave instructions for the TV remotes. It took us a couple days to figure out. The kitchen was stocked with pans and utensils so we were able to cook. The condo was pretty much as represented in the listing. .

For the price we paid (nearly $300/night) I would expect nicer towels than the small, thin bath towels that were barely enough to dry off. I could find nicer towels at Target.

Also, the drain in the bathroom sink was strange - there was no way to close the drain to fill the sink with water for shaving. I had to reach under the vanity to open and close the drain. But I understand that this can't easily be fixed without replacing the whole sink.

When we first arrived, our feet got dirty from walking barefoot on the floors. Maybe they were only vacuumed but not washed before our arrival?

The unit was adequate. Quiet location. Nothing special. No amenities in the unit. We would not stay in Port O Call again. Too far from IOP. No shopping, groceries, coffee shops, etc. Really just a place to sleep and head to the beach. Pool was nice.
Nothing in the unit, not even a salt or pepper shaker. We travel about once a month and this was by far the most sparse accomodation.

My mom and I were so thankful to book a last minute stay in Isle of Palms, and were very pleased with our accommodations and Island Realty. The condo was perfect for us! Very clean, comfortable furnishings and bedding, nicely stocked kitchen, and excellent location. We really enjoyed sitting on the screened porch, and appreciated the close proximity to the beach and community pool. I would absolutely rent this condo unit again, and recommend Island Realty.

The space was adequate as described from the IR site. The bedding delivered was for the wrong unit, received D301s linens therefore the Queen sized sheets did not fit the king sized bed. Problem was not raised and we improvised. Upon arrival the Wifi was not working and after a quick inspection, the appropriate cable between the DSL router and WiFi we disconnected. I called the main desk but did not get any assistance. I had to figure out the issue and I corrected myself. The overall space is out of date by at least 15 years. Painted over painted surfaces gave off a 1980's feel throughout the stay and bathroom usability was tough for 2 people. Tile floor from the 1990s was also out of date and not comfortable with grout dirty. I would say given the age of this unit, a deep clean cannot fix the lack of attention to updating. Light bubs did not match, i/e daylight 5600K bright "blue" daylight color lights mixed with warm 3200K gave the place a very odd feel. The main door (screen door) was also an issue opening the wrong way against the direction you are approaching leaving no room between the door and railing which is dangerous. I recommend getting rid of these as they are also a throw back to the early 1980's pre-Hurricane Hugo. Last and nothing much to do with this aged unit, the property has zero security measures. No cameras in the parking lot of building. On our last night, one of our mountain bikes that was double locked to the bike rack was stolen. Its value was over $2,000. IOP police came and were very professional. The Wild Dunes Security never showed up after the dispatch call was made. IOP Police Report final comment as a frequent visitor to the IOP (not the Wild Dunes) and Folly Beach exceeding 25 days per year is how can an upscale gated community with gate security not have passive security at the furthest part of their property? We lost a bike, it can be replaced. Disappointed and will not recommend Wild Dunes.

Location was great! Pool was very nice and beach access was good. Overhead fan did not work and even though a call was made to maintenance and we were told it would be fixed nothing ever happened. Would loved to have spent more time on the lanai but without the fan it was not possible.

This property was a fit for this trip. I love that it's located in Wild Dunes and has a pool close by and is beachfront/view. We love several of the local restaurants! A few cons: We could hear the folks upstairs walking very loudly early in the morning and late at night. Footsteps woke us every morning bright and early :( The kitchen is oddly shaped but does the job; however, it was sparse on items provided. The unit could stand to be updated on color scheme and furniture.
We had an enjoyable experience, but the footsteps from above reminded me why I won't be choosing a place again underneath other guests. One other note: it is relatively close to the beach, but it's a bit of a haul to the shore.

Port O’Call is in a great location at the end of the island and the beach wasn’t very crowded, even at peak season. The beach is nice and wide here now since it was reconstructed. Wild Dunes community is beautifully landscaped and has a great walking/biking trail. These condos are older and in need of some updating. The AC isn’t distributed very well so it was either hot or cold while sleeping. A ceiling fan or even a fan on a stand would have greatly helped. Also, there isn’t much insulation between floors so you can hear the people above walking around at all hours of the night/morning. If I came back, I would make sure to get a 3rd floor unit. The kitchen is very small and this unit’s kitchen wasn’t very well stocked (needed more plates and silverware, especially spoons). We didn’t do much cooking because we were only there 4 nights but I wouldn’t plan on cooking much there. The bed was a little squeaky but ok. We didn’t use the sofa bed. Then there were general maintenance issues: One of the pocket doors from the bedroom to the hallway by the bathroom was completely off the track and unusable, the toilet ran the whole time we were there, and the sliding door from the living room is almost impossible to open (the track needs to be greased or replaced). For a quick last minute get away it was nice, but for the price I would at least find another unit.

Port o call is always a good spot in IOP for our beach vacations. D201 unit was in decent shape, but we found it to be a little lacking in some areas: First, the TV was way too small. ( I know this is a ridiculous gripe considering being at the beach, but.) The bedroom TV had no available stations to watch either. Bathroom was fine, but in desperate need of Shower upgrade. Location was great, even in the back row. Views of the ocean, beach and pool were great. Little in the way of cooking supplied\utensils, so bring your own. Lastly, the foyer rug was wet with no real source of the water. Looks like some HVAC work had taken place in the ceiling above it, but after work was completed, issue with rug was undetected. We just rolled it up and moved it out of the way until the day we left. Otherwise, we had a great time.

Our only problem was being charged for the first night which I did try to cancel 48 hrs or more because of unforeseen complications with our move. When I called to cancel it was the weekend & then New Years. No one got my message. I offered to add on an extra night in exchange for the missed night but that was not offered or accepted. Unfortunate. However we’ve used island realty before and been pleased.

We enjoyed Wild Dunes, walked a lot. The outer door of unit wouldn't stay closed, the key code mechanism didn't always lock properly. Lots of Windows but unfortunately neighbor s could see in so wasn't private and we kept blinds down. Too bad because had ocean view. We still enjoyed our stay but may choose different unit next time.

My wife and I had a very pleasant 7 days at this property. Right next to the pool, and a 2 minute walk to the beach. Screened in porch looked right at the ocean. Had coffee every morning on the porch looking at the ocean. Place was very clean, no issues. We had a minor issue with a leaking air conditioner but maintenance was easy to work with. Overall great experience. This was our first visit to Port o Call but our 5th trip to Wild Dunes and all was good.

We were in Charleston for our son's Spring Break high school baseball tournament and wanted a relaxing, nice place to enjoy the beach between games. The condo was clean and pleasant with a lovely view of the ocean. The beach was very nice - wide & clean and not crowded. Wild Dunes was a great place for a run in the morning. The condo complex was beautiful and well-kept. It was a really pleasant stay.

Easy check in and the condo was exactly as described. It was one of the cleanest condos I've stayed at and the ocean view could be seen from every room. The beach access is about a 2 minute walk. The condo is located about a 10 minute drive from a grocery store and about a 20 minute drive to excellent shopping and movie theatre. The only improvement that could be made would be to update the porch furniture, it was old and uncomfortable. This condo would be perfect for 2 people a little small for more than that. I would definitely rent it again.
