Convenient location and very nice rental with private pool and beach access. Directly across the street from shops and food. The rental can hold up to 6 people, but the sleeping quarters are all small so I would recommend families with kids only and not a group of adults. It was perfect for us with 2 adults and one 15 year old that slept on pullout couch. Bunks are very skinny and were not used although they would be good for smaller kids. 15 year old did mention pullout wasn't very comfortable but that is typical for a pullout couch. Only negative was the shower door leaked. I have read in reviews it has been leaking for years and there appears to be possible water damage to bathroom door and hall floor. Didn't affect our stay, but it is a shame for the owners the beautiful tile shower leaks. We solved the problem by putting two washcloths right against the shower and the floor mat beyond them to allow the wash cloths to gather the pool of water. After each shower, the soaked wash cloths could be wrung out immediately to prevent the water from running across the floor. Aside from the shower leak, the rental is well maintained with a great location to activities, food, and fun. Would have no problems returning for another stay!

Unfortunately, five high school kids were shot on the beach outside Sea Cabins. I understand it was not Island Realty's fault, nor ours. It would have been nice for the owners to offer another weekend at half price to simply have a better experience.

We've stayed at several Sea Cabins in the past but this is by far the best. Love all the upgrades, such as the awesome shower and kitchen, and the water view (especially the morning sunrise) from the unit is to die for. The mattress not quite as firm as we like, but otherwise we loved everything about this condo. We'll be back!!!

The place was really nice. We knew it was on the smaller side but you can really feel it when you get inside. For the 3 of us it was fine but if my other son came I’m not sure it would work. It would have been really nice to have a TV in the bedroom. Just another place to go & relax. The cabin slept 6 but only 4 towels were provided. Again there was only 3 of us but would have been nice to not do laundry so often. My teenage son was going to sleep on the pull out but said it was very uncomfortable & just slept on top of the couch.
Overall it was a great little place. It had everything we needed & a great location with a nice view of the ocean.

Let me begin with, I normally stay at timeshare rentals. Which I would have assumed this to be the same. I was told that the room would be stocked with items to accommodate the max people that could stay in the room. We had 4 towels for a room that slept 6. It was a girls trip of grown women. Not a family that could possibly share items. 1 roll of toilet paper. I would have assume at least 2. The room was nice and as expected but I think I am just used to having more items and not having to buy basic toiletries on vacation. Everything else was as expected. Check in was the BEST I have ever encountered. The fridge took a while to cool down once we checked in and the air was never super cold. But again I think these expectations are based on my timeshare I own at a different location.

Please note that SC 235 is advertised to sleep 4 people not 6. Our housekeeping does provide enough linens to accommodate 4 guests. It is understandable that you would need more than 1 roll of toilet paper in your stay and as our paperwork does state we start you off with a "starter pack" of items such as toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, soap, etc. It is important for all of our guests to read the paperwork we send with your reservation so that you can be fully informed in the things that you need for your vacation, when renting a vacation rental. Simple, straight-forward booking process, check-in and out. The Island Realty folks are helpful and most pleasant. Our condo had a few quirks (somewhat stiff bed sheets and cheap bed pillows) but overall still a fantastic bargain. The Sea Cabins Beach does tend to get really crowded given its proximity to the public park beach (right next to it). So if you're looking for a little solitude be prepared to hike down a few hundreds yards past the Windjammer. The crowds always this significantly from that point south. Excellent meal options within walking distance (Binky's, Long Island Raw Bar, ACME Low Country).

the Sea Cabins are pretty small but the view of the ocean and beach from the balcony makes up for everything. We stayed 2 months and missed most the winter in Minnesota. We also liked how many restaurants were within walking distance. Our unit could benefit from some new furniture.

Great vacation, again. The shower is really nice, but it does still leak around the door. I am not really sure why it does, but inevitably it will soak a bath mat every time. I was even diligent about making sure that the door was completely closed thinking that might be the problem. Other than that, nice condo.

This was our third stay at Sea Cabins and as always, we enjoy the proximity to restaurants and shopping and the property overall. Our unit this year was clean and nice but the bedroom mattress def needs to be replaced. I was hesitant to mention this as my husband and I are easy to please. But a good nights rest is important on vacation too. Shout out to Mike with Island Reality. He saved us on our very first day of vacay����

We had a great time. The price is great for an oceanfront rental. Property has secure beach access. Beach is not crowded. Only problem that we found is the vertical seal for the shower door was missing and water would leak into the floor while you were showering.

This was the 7th year we've stayed in the Sea Cabins, and our 3rd year staying in 235C. The updates in this Sea Cabin are very nice, and it has always been clean, however, the water that leaks from the shower makes it a lot less appealing. We were hoping the problem would have been resolved by now, especially after reading reviews about the same issue that date back to 2015, but that wasn't the case. A significant amount of water collects on the bathroom floor after every shower, leaving us to soak it up with towels. If it were a little bit of water we could look past it, but it soaks up full sized towels that need to be wrung out. Also, the kitchen could be a bit more stocked with pots, pans, dishes, mugs, etc. Overall, this is a nice Sea Cabin, but I thing we will be looking into staying in a different one next year because of the shower issue.

Condo was exactly as pictures depicted. Location was perfect to tour historical Charleston , Ashley RiverPlantations and beach walk. Many good restaurants and live music venues nearby. No car needed. The unit could upgrade by a few small additions:
Kitchen needs glasswear and coffee mugs for 4.
Bath needs towel bar and hooks added.A hairdryer would be helpful. Supply closet should be organized so there’s room for clothing since bedroom does not have a closet. A tv and a mirror in bedroom would be nice-
These few additions would really make a big difference in convenience.

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Cabins. It was a little chilly for a day on the beach but we did walk on the pier and along the beach during the day. There are local restaurants you can walk to after a stroll on the beach and if you wanted to venture out there are many sight seeing attractions and restaurnats within a short car ride. Great location great place.

The pristine beach was close to the condo. The water was shallow quite a ways out which is great for young kids. The condo was very clean. Please fix the shower door bottom seal. Maintenance looked at it but was unable to repair during our stay. They did supply towels to soak up the
water every time we showered. We will be back.

We didn’t think we would be going on vacation because of hurricane Irma and had even canceled due to evacuation orders the Saturday we were to check in. We were excited to get the call from Island Reality on Tuesday to let us know they were open for business.. They offered us a few more days stay. Stayed in same unit as 2016. The shower still leaks. The kitchen is a little under-stocked. I purchased a vegetable peeler and "donated' it to the unit. The Sharp knives need to be sharpened. The floors looked clean but when water was spilled, the paper towel used ended up very dirty -- on day one. We did not have a dish towel to dry dishes. We used the dishcloth all week.

We were aware before arriving that the Sea Cabin was a small unit and we were okay with the size but a few features were deal breakers. Most disturbing was the lack of a closet.There was one very small closet but it was full with cleaning equipment and a pile of junk. The hanging area in the bedroom was too short to hang our clothes. At night the light from outside was so bright through the drawn shade that it felt like we were sleeping with the lights on. The updated bathroom was attractive but the shower leaked leaving us with a big puddle after each use.The coin operated laundry facility on site was unclean. We will return to Isle of Palms and we would rent from Island Realty again but not a Sea Cabin unit.

First, this review is only for this unit. The complex itself was lovely, I wish they had elevators and handicap accessible areas, they do not. The pool was nice, as was the private fishing pier. We picked this unit because it had been recently updated. This finishes were nice. Thats about it. The bed was NOT comfortable. I've stayed in budget hotels that had more comfortable beds, and did on my way to this condo. There is NO TV in the bedroom. The bedroom is placed street side, with a window that looks out onto the street and your condo neighbors. So a TV in the bedroom would be nice. Sea Cabins wifi is iffy and you have to be MS in Computer Science in order to figure out how to connect to the owners wifi as there are no instructions in the condo. We might not have cared, had we not been trying to keep up with hurricanes and evacuations without having to stayed glued to a TV in the living room. The shower is nice, and as soon as you open the door, the water on the door floods the beautiful floor. Which might not be so troublesome if they had given 2 adults more than 4 towels for 5 days. And one floor mat. That stayed soaked. We spent a lot of time mopping water from the bathroom floor. As a vacation rental owner myself, I was unimpressed. Some towels, some instructions, a better quality bedroom bed, and a small flat screen TV in the bedroom and this unit would have felt a lot more like a vacation and a little less like a hassle. For the cleanliness and location, I'd probably still recommend it as a whole.

We very much enjoyed our stay overall! We especially enjoyed the new comfortable bed and the amazing overhead shower and the view from the kitchen...however, lack of curtains allowed too much light in the bedroom(had to use a beach towel to keep light out...we felt like the kitchen was decent but lacked the following...Pot Holders, Ice Cube Trays, Tea Pot, Larger Coffee Cups, Taller Bar stools, not enough Pots or Pans...the other areas were missing soap dish in bathroom, outdoor furniture cheap plastic w broken leg... there was work being done on a condo to the lower right when we arrived Thursday Night and the wet saw was grinding until almost 10PM...But, the beach was close and we did enjoy our vacation and would come back! Thanks!

We had a great time, of course the weather was a factor.

A couple of concerns: The shower leaked every time we used it. Probably needs some caulk.

There was an ironing board, but no iron :(

A hairdryer would have been helpful too!

Overall the unit was great. I picked it because it was decorated very nicely. The furniture was comfortable.

Maybe the owner could purchase some ice cube trays since there is no ice maker. We borrowed a tray from our friends who were in another unit.

The outdoor security lights and located right outside the bedroom window making it very "light" during the night..not sure what could be done to fix that. Maybe darker shades for the window.

This was our 2nd visit to the Sea Cabins.

The Sea Cabins are located within walking distance to all the attractions/restaurants/bars in Isle of Palms. Right on the beach. The property and condo itself was clean and well kept. Only downside is price (would be pretty high for just one couple - we had two couples and split the price). Also, during the summer, there is a three night minimum. Would recommend, and would stay there again.
