Third year we have stayed in this property. Very pleased this year to see the tv has been upgraded! The condo was clean and very comfortable. The only thing that would make this condo better is having the appliances upgraded. They all worked ok but the dishwasher was very noisy. An appliance upgrade would be nice. I would recommend this property. We have reserved it again for March 2024. The location is great.

We came in right after Hurricane Ian had passed through the Isle of Palms. We had electricity and water. There were cable issues that were not resolved during our 5 night stay but that was understood since utility companies were busier than usual. This unit is up 3 flights of stairs. We are in our 60's and decided we wouldn't do that again with luggage and such. Views are wonderful! We wish these cabins were large enough for a king bed, but the bedroom is tiny. We tried using the pull out couch, but the mattress had a bar that prevented lying in a comfortable position. I slept on the couch without pulling it out, but it is not really wide enough. Kitchen was stocked, refrigerator cooled, dishwasher worked but very noisily, shower was weak and faucets backwards for hot/cold. Check in and out was a breeze and the code lock on the door convenient. Balcony furniture was sufficient.If not for our age, we would rent this unit again.

Past reviews were critical of the furniture and TV. Apparently it has been upgraded. Most comfortable sea cabin bed we have had, couch was very comfortable and TV was modern and very good (these latter 2 were dissed in earlier reviews).

Sea cabin was very nice but could use a couple of new items. The shower curtain liner needs replacing, one of the coffee cups was crumbling as we used it. Mattress on the sofa couch was not comfortable at all. Very minor things but still needs addressed

Our vacation was excellent. The weather was picture perfect. We actually have this same unit for March 2022. There was a few things that need to be looked at by management and the owner. The chairs on the balcony need to be replaced and a table would be nice. (One chair is cracked badly.). The dishes in the kitchen need to be looked at. And the television in the living room needs to be upgraded. No tv remote and can’t make any adjustments. The tv is small.

The place was lovely. It had a great view of the ocean. There were a couple minor issues, though. The first being that a leak dripped from the ceiling in front of the door. Island Realty got back to us pretty quick amd had someone check it out and the leak wasn't that bad. The other issue is that I think someone had installed the dial for the water in the tub wrong. If you want to shower, you either have to turn it all the way down to where it says "off" in order to get water that, thankfully, is usually warm enough to shower. If you want water water, you have to turn it off then keep turning it towards where it's labeled "H", but it takes a very long time to get hot water.

First time stay in this unit.Kitchen was great and rest of condo good. #1-the balcony needs new furniture. The table legs were rusted out and jagged, dangerous if you had kids. I have pics but couldn't post. Plastic chairs were cracked. Sofa needed cleaning or chair covers. Rest of condo was fine. If you read other reviews I found them to be accurate. We did manage and made the best of our stay. Outdoor furniture on sale now, nice high top table to eat outside less than $100 . Great view also.

This condo was perfect for two people. It had everything we needed. A nice view. And was right by the beach. It was within walking distance of a lot as well. We were very pleased with our stay. We recommend going on the private pier for coffee in the morning. It’s wonderful.

The location was great - 3rd floor provides lovely views of the beach. Convenient to the pier and beach entrances. Also right next to the public access park that has playground equipment for the little ones.

WE have been coming to stay at the sea cabins for several years in the row now. This cabin is in worse shape than some other cabins we stayed in.
The screen door to the balcony kept coming off track, the mattress in the bedroom was very noisy and uncomfortable, the sleep couch needs to be replaced and it was awful to sleep on. IT is very worn.
We were told that due to COVID there will be extra cleaning. We didnt notice any extra cleaning and the floor was sandy when we got to the cabin. I had to sweep and mop the floor.
Usually we have a full roll of paper towels in the kitchen and this time it was used and only a little bit left.
We are disappointed in this cabin. Would not stay in this particular cabin again nut we love coming to the beach.

The condo is lovely. It was in excellent condition, very clean. Alas, we only got to stay one night and one day out of the 14 we had booked due to the mandatory evacuation order for Hurricane Dorian. We left the night before it took effect to avoid traffic jams. It's a risk to vacation at the beach in the Fall. Take the trip insurance. We do like this place and recommend it.

We are regulkar customers of the Sea Cabins and love the location and comfort of the property. This trip we had a VERY unhappy experience with the unit’s television. The picture and sound on the main networks was completely scrambled and we were not able to watch some of the programs at night we wanted to watch. It came and went - but was essentially out 80% of the visit - which was VERY disappointing! We called many times about it but there was no repair made. This is the reason I made less than satisfied ratings. It is not a complete deal breaker for us but we felt a more pro-active and helpful response should have been made for this problem!

Sea Cabins are the best choice for couples who want the million-dollar ocean view without needing to rent a space larger than needed, with the added benefit of being able to walk to local restaurants, Harris Teeter, a local butcher shop and seafood market. Isle of Palms is a quiet, seaside town in winter, but also offers entertainment venues for those seeking something more to do. Upgraded units are well furnished and comfortable for two, although it is possible to sleep up to six. I would recommend that only for a short vacation stay!

We have stayed here before and the reason return is the location. The room had everything we needed for our stay the kitchen was well-equipped. I would recommend that you bring your own sheets queen size for the bedroom sheets are extremely scratchy and uncomfortable I don’t say this to complain I say this to give you advice to have the perfect trip. As usual our stay at the Sea Cabins went very well and we enjoyed our time at IOP. Online reservations through the website worked, and once there, check-in and check-out were seamless. This year we stayed in Cabin 307A. In our opinion, it is good but not great. Everything worked fine: AC, bathroom, kitchen, WIFI, TV, comfy bed, etc. – so no real problems. However, many aspects of the unit could be improved or updated. Number 1, the cracked, plastic, deck furniture should be replaced. The kitchen counters and furnishings could also use some attention. Simply having a Keurig coffee maker would be nice. The point is that we have stayed in nicer Cabins for the same price. So in its current state, we don’t think 307A is the best value when compared to other units, and for that reason we are hesitant to recommend it – not because it’s a bad Cabin, but because it may be a little overpriced.

This is an older property. The view from our room is great. The bed was very comfortable although the light outside our window was so bright we couldn't sleep, so we put a black garbage bag over the window and that fixed it perfectly. The furniture is not real comfortable, but we aren't in the room much. The porch furniture is getting old and rusty. The location is great, but the beach is busy since it is right by a park. The private pier is very nice. The pool is not heated, but it is clean.

This is the perfect location for beach views and access. However the mattress was horrendous and my husband ended up sleeping on the couch. Also, the toilet sings to you for a full minute after flushing.

Beautiful and convenient location. Overall, a nice and well-stocked unit. The only issue is the bed. The mattress is very, very firm and creaks with any movement, which makes for a restless night. Because of the bed, I would not recommend this unit. Everything else was fine.

Our stay in Sea Cabin 307A was exactly what we needed...relaxed, rejuvenating, and restorative. The mid September weather left a little to be desired, but we enjoyed beach walks, fishing, and antiquing in the area. Rain or shine, there is always lots to do to keep you entertained, without a king drive.

The condo was clean and well decorated. The view was spectacular. We've stayed at Sea Cabins the past 3 years, and this condo was the best of the three. The kitchen has what you need, except for cookie sheets and a broiling pan. A backsplash should be added behind the sink and stove. The many grease spots are rather nasty. The linens are adequate, but bed pillows need to be replaced, they are cheap and flat, and a blanket for the beds, rather than using the comforters, would be a good addition. The TVs are nice, but the wifi service was spotty and I dependable. We were very frustrated with it. There were some issues like broken balcony balusters (a safety issue), and the bathtub had no stopper, and the handle was very loose, making water temp adjustment impossible. I called and all were fixed the next day, but those things should have been reported by housekeeping and repaired prior to our arrival. The mattress in the bedroom is uncomfortable and the bed frame is squeaky and not sturdy, under normal sleeping conditions. It needs to be replaced.

Sea Cabins comes very close to providing incredible stays for guests, but there have been issues with our rentals and those of family vacationing with us. Management needs to coordinate better with housekeeping to learn of issues and report those to owners, and make sure things are kept to rental descriptions, and subsequent expectations of renters, from the info given about units. Photos should be updated more frequently as well as descriptions. We continue to come for the pier fishing and the lovely beach. we would rent condo 307A, because it was as good or better than anything we have seen at Sea Cabins.

This property has an awesome ocean view. We consider that it's best feature. This cabin has had many updates. The flooring, cabinets and most of the furniture was very nice. The appliances were in good condition. It was decorated very professionally and with great beach themed items.
A couple of upgrades to give serious consideration to: 1) a ceiling fan in the bedroom. We brought our own fan because we didn't see one in the pictures of the unit. Without the fan it would have been very uncomfortable in that room. 2) nicer outdoor furniture for the balcony. To fully enjoy the awesome view and time spent on the balcony something better then the years old, inexpensive plastic chairs would be nice.
Overall enjoyed the cabin and our week spent on the Isle of Palms.

This is a nice unit with hardwood floors and ceramic tile. It was clean, well-maintained. The dishes (plates, saucers) should be replaced, had stains on them probably from having been washed in an older dishwasher, though the current appliances are up-to date. The beach area was more crowded on the weekends, and in peak season, would likely be as crowded during the week as it was while we were there on the weekend. Restaurants and shopping are close by.

This unit had everything we needed for our week at the beach. I cleaned a couple of things myself which was not a big deal to me (crevices along the stove and the bathroom floor) also, the Q bed wasn't comfortable for my husband and me but some people may disagree. Mattress comfort is a tricky thing. I did find comfort on the sofa!
We thoroughly enjoyed the ocean view. To sum things up, we would choose to stay here again.. ..

Although IOP is much busier than in past years it is still a perfect place to visit. The sea cabins are quiet and peaceful and our unit was very well maintained, as are the grounds and beach. The furniture was nice, although the bed was a little hard. It was furnished with all the dishes and cookware we needed and the appliances were all very nice. IOP is so close to so many things to do. You can walk to a number of restaurants and shopping or you can drive a short distance for other experiences. This year we visited the Carolina Tea Plantation, Firefly Distillery, Boone Plantation and its farm market for local food and produce. We also attended the Blessing of the Fleet festival. It has a nearby grocery and Simmons fresh seafood market right around the corner. Great vacation.

This was our fifth trip to Charleston/Isle of Palms in the last six years. All five trips we have booked with Island Realty and four of those five we have stayed at the Sea Cabins, and we have loved every minute of it. The view from the balcony is great, and the access to the pier and beach are so easy to get to.

We have been to IOP 4 times and always stay at Sea Cabins. We go for the beach,location,and the view!

We know that Sea Cabins is an old complex. There were several updates in this unit that were nice....floor, wall decor, and flat screen TV's. However,there are a few things that would be very inexpensive and are needed. A FULL size coffee maker and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The mini coffee maker barely made 2 full cups. It was hot in the bedroom at night. The bed was also needing attention.

The location is awesome, you can walk to shops, dining, and the beach is only steps from the complex.

Island Realty has always been very nice and helpful, the process is easy and the staff is professional.
