Perfect location by the hotels/boardwalk, lovely view. This reasonably-priced home is dated but serviceable. The home had a significant ant problem the week we stayed in it, but this should be a simple fix. The mattresses in the twin bedroom also need replacing as they are painful to sleep on. In the cooler months, rugs would be a cozy, inviting touch. Kitchen had everything we needed and we truly loved the back porch with its quiet heater and forested view of the golf course. We were treated to several deer sightings over coffee.

Every trip starts with your initial impression. Ours was a last minute trip and we found this great house which had availability at the last minute and nobody had rented the house for a couple days ahead of our visit. On the morning of checkin, I asked the management company if we could checkin an hour prior to the checkin time, since nobody had rented the house in several days. They said they would text me when we could check in. Never received any communication from them. Enough said.... Great house! and loved the back porch!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The view out the front was especially nice. The only drawback (and it wasn’t a big deal) was that there was no cable TV so you’re basically limited to the 3 major networks. We’ve stayed in Wild Dunes during February for several years and hope to return again. I would definitely recommend this property and also Island Realty. They were very good to work with.

This was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing cottage with a wonderful view. We loved all of the great blue herons and snowy egrets that were in the pond behind the cottage, and the air conditioned enclosed back porch was the perfect place to enjoy them. We would come back to Twin Oaks Lane 19. We did rent bikes for the week from the concierge which were waiting for us, and they were a must have for the trek to the beach which was a 10 minute walk. Glad we had backpacks to carry our water, towel and sunscreen.

We loved the location, pricing and the back porch view.
The unit was clean.
But ...the furnishings are tired.
The side chairs in the livingroom were awful.
I’d highly suggest the owners consider spending a little money updating,

Nice house in a good location on a quiet street. All in all, clean and nice linens. The kitchen is in need of an upgrade as the stove had rust on the outside and the cabinets were need of painting. Only cosmetic however it would be a tremendous improvement. Exterior could use a good wash as well.

Overall good experience. Island Realty staff is always friendly the check in. House was in a pretty good location and was spacious enough for 6 guests. cleanliness was an issue. The bathrooms had hairs and the floor through out the house had not been vacuumed well, let alone mopped. The housekeeping and inspection cards in the kitchen were dated the day before our arrival, but if they had truly inspected, they would have noticed the issues. All ceiling fans had dust caked on the blades and many of the switches and lamps did not work. There was such a horrendous smell on the sun room and we couldn’t sit there and enjoy the beautiful view of the pond and golf course. We did not report these issues as we didn’t want anyone coming in while we weren’t there as well as the lighting issues and smell in the sunroom propably wouldn’t have been quick fixes. If there were a guarantee that these issues would be fixed, my family and I would stay at this particular home again. I would recommend after proof of maintenance updates.

A great time in wild dunes, as always, but I believe Island Realty must mention that the house is at least 20 minutes walking to the nearest beach. If you have babies is such an inconvenience.

Overall it was a great trip to IOP. We had a wedding in Wild Dunes so this property was in a great location. Pros: location, back porch was awesome, clean. Cons: majorly outdated, The king bed was great but the other beds all squeaked really loudly.

We had a wonderful stay at Twin Oaks Lane 19. Location is great. House was in good condition. The best thing about this place is the air conditioned sun room. We spent most of our time out there. Very peaceful and relaxing. We could watch the wildlife in the lagoon for hours. Master bedroom and bath were wonderful. Only suggestion would be an update to the second full bath. (shower/tub has a dip in the middle when you stand and it drains a little slow.) Note to family’s that cook like we do: be prepared to buy/bring all essential cooking spices, salt/pepper, olive oil, sugar, aluminum foil/wraps, storage containers, etc. Other than those minor comments, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again!

We shared this beach house with my inlaws & our 3 kiddos for a week long summer vacation. We really enjoy staying within the resort & the price was right for this house. First, the good: the kitchen was well stocked, we had shaded parking, a grill & laundry facilities, updated bathrooms, great sun room with AC & marsh views (gator watching), location convenient to pool & not too far from the beach or grand pavilion (we like to swim there for the evening music & bar), sports card & extra rollaway bed in the closet great for a small child & fluffy towels, island realty service was good too. The bad: some parts of the house are looking a bit shabby, carpet in bedrooms was gross (I wore flip flops so as never to be barefoot on them), fan in master bathroom didn’t work, king mattress was very uncomfortable ( but Island Realty brought us a great topper that made us very comfortable ), Couch, lamps & decor need updating & some things were dusty. I actually had to wash all the bedspreads because they didn’t appear to be clean, had stains & didn’t smell fresh. That said, we did enjoy our stay & once I had washed the covers, I felt much better. I also vacuumed because it didn’t appear to have been done on the carpets before we arrived. It’s worth saying I’m also a bit picky & easily grossed out by things I perceive as germy/dirty (carpet/covers) & this may not register to someone else! Remember to bring extra trash bags, paper towels & your own laundry detergent. This is a good rental that might need a little tlc.

Loved the porch! We lived on it when it rained but spent the rest of the time outside. Fairly close to most everything. The unit had no laundry detergent or coffee filters and when check in is so late... it was a big hassle to find out. The bathroom sinks were very slow draining, but we just dealt with it. Lucky we found this last minute booking.

We spent much of our rather chilly week on the porch watching the wildlife. We saw alligators, turtles, bluebirds & woodpeckers! The kids loved it! Beds were comfy although the front bedroom was chilly & noisy due to a window seal needing attention. There was ample parking. It is an easy walk to the beach and within 2 blocks of the heated pool. Bring your own garbage bags, plastic wrap, and anything else needed to cook. There are plenty of pots, pans etc. but no coffee filters or spices. Toilet paper, soap and shampoo are included.

However they still provide great value given the amenities they offer, location to the beach, and utilities included. Isle of Palms is a beautiful area. Beachy but not commercialized. Nice relaxed atmosphere for family and couples alike. Our overall experience with Island Realty was excellent from making the reservation all the way to checkout. Twin Oaks Lane 19 was located within walking distance to pool and beach and was everything that we had hoped it would be. I would highly recommend Island Realty to handle your accommodations when visiting the Charleston area.

Property was located in private location overlooking pond and tee box. The home was furnished with reasonably comfortable furniture, but kitchen dishes and cookware looked to be from estate sale. Some of the items in drawers and cabinets were dirty and greasy.

Clean, nice, comfortable home in nice, quiet neighborhood. The key did not work on the deadbolt, but it worked on the knob lock. Other than that - it was a great house - enjoyed the porch immensely. The unit beside us (#18) had a maintenance/construction crew staying on the property that made for a very noisy and not so peaceful stay. Sawing, hammering, nail guns, pressure washing, etc. going from 8 AM - 5 PM each day. It looks like #18 and #19 are both managed by Island Realty so you may want to ask if remodeling is still on-going at #18 before booking (I wish we could have had a heads up to avoid). Ants were found daily in the kitchen and bathroom (way more than would be anticipated from a sub-tropical location). A couple other insects found in dining room like silverfish. Most of the knobs to open windows on sunroom are broken. Exterior could use a cleaning to remove cobwebs, dirt, pollen. Ceiling fan in master room doesn't work. Disposal sounds like it's not working. Wifi slow or not working at times. Wild Dunes is beautiful and a wonderful area. I think this rental just needs a little attention to get up to par. We had 2 young children with us so it was more beneficial to stay at the property as-is vs. attempting to find a replacement mid stay.

We had a nice family weekend in Wild Dunes staying at Twin Oaks Lane 19. The property is located very conveniently within the resort and the view from the screened porch and outside deck was lovely. We arrived after office hours and our keys were waiting for us at Island Realty as promised.

The rooms and furniture were relatively clean and comfortable but the house itself was not well maintained. The porch windows would not open - the handles came off in our hands or else they didn't connect with the mechanism to crank open the windows. There were ants in the kitchen and the toilet in the master bath made noise about every 15 minutes. The outside didn't look cared for with cobwebs near the front door and piles of lumber and broken hose in the garage area and back yard. There was also mildew on the bathroom ceiling outside of the master bath shower.

We've stayed at Wild Dunes before and we would happily return but we were not impressed with this particular property. We didn't report any of the issues to the property manager during our stay since we were only going to be there for a few days.
We enjoyed the beach, tennis and walking. As always, the area is great and we enjoyed some fantastic meals in Isle of Palms, Mt. Pleasant, and in Charleston.

When we returned our keys at checkout (one of which didn't open the front door dead bolt) and explained it to the woman at the desk she seemed unconcerned. All of the other communication we had in making the reservation and arranging the late key pick up was very helpful and courteous.

Great location, peaceful and yet close to all kinds of activities. We walked to the beach, rented bikes, walked the golf cart paths after golfers were done for the day, used the sports card for the heated pool and fished the lagoon behind our rental. We found so many interesting places to visit and great dining close by as well as in Charleston. The sunroom was a real pleasure for dining and relaxing plus it was heated. Kitchen was well equipped. Bath towels were plentiful and in great shape. All mattresses were great and spreads were nice. There were missing screens and sticking doors but nothing serious. We had a great time.
