Fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating, bird and dolphin watching are available out the back door while the beach is a short walk away. Nothing beats sitting in the rope swings, relaxing with a good book, while watching the seabirds and dolphins play after a fun day on the beach. The spacious lot and large canopy of live oaks on the bank of Hamlin Creek make you think you're back in the antebellum South. The updated cottage has retained an "island essence" and offers the perfect spot for enjoying nature and experiencing "island life." Owner maintained and a unique experience for your vacation! Deep water dock comes with 50 amp electrical service and water hookups 5' at low tide, with newly added electronic boat lift in February 2018. Taking away the hassle of taking your boat in and out of the water. (Boat lift has a maximum capacity of 10,000 lbs, and setup to accommodate up to a 30 foot V-Hull boat.12x25 fenced dog run.) Pet Friendly. No fee required! Nice gas grill. Beach Shower. Linens included. Wireless Internet.

Was very impressed with the email alerts concerning hurricane florence. Our 6 night vacation turned into a 2 night vacation during to mandatory evacuation. Had fun while it lasted. Seemed like we didnt even get unpacked.

Another great stay in this little house. All was clean and well stocked. Easy check in and check out. Internet was a little tricky as it appears to be a redirect but its not. May want to mention this to future renters. We look forward to coming back again soon.

Check-in after hours went smooth. The location is an easy walk to most everything in the main Isle Of Palm area. Our stay was very pleasant. The entire home was rather well furnished and the kitchen had most everything needed. The property was very clean throughout. It was nice to have a small and shaded pen where our dog could enjoy some outdoor time. We were unable to use the dock very much due to the rain but its nice and sturdy. There was even a boat lift that would be a nice amenity in the future. We enjoyed our stay.

This is our second time staying at this house, great location and we thoroughly enjoy having the dock on the river. Some suggestions for the owners...while the dog pen is nice it really isn't where most dog owners would leave their pets, would be very easy to fence the back yard to the water so the dogs could be out there with us and not have to worry about the busy road. Also A/C needs some updating as the back two bedrooms were much hotter than the rest of the house.
Would definitely rent this house again.

Pictures do not do this place justice. The yard is gorgeous. We loved our time here and had a hard time leaving. Being able to bring our dog was a huge bonus and the dog run on the property was perfect.

This was the perfect house for our son's wedding weekend! Everything was super clean when we arrived; even the porches and drive were blown off. The dock was a great place for our boat and hanging out with family and friends. The fact that it was pet friendly made it even better. Its' central location on the IOP is also a plus. Island realty provided us with a wonderful house and excellent service during our stay. We were in a bind as our intended rental fell through at the last minute -- we showed up in the late afternoon on a Saturday, needing a place to stay. Island realty worked with us and provided a wonderful house. During our week they provided excellent service. The house is very well appointed and so conveniently located. so nice and comfortable and clean. We will definitely return in future.

This was the perfect spot for our family, especially since we have three teenagers with different interests. We could kayak along with the dolphins all the way to the ocean or around the creek's islands, we could take a short walk to the beach or to get ice cream and browse the cute shops nearby, or we could swim off the dock in the backyard. We loved it, and will definitely be back. This is our new favorite place to stay on IOP!

We truly enjoyed our stay for the month of March. The house was a delightful blend of old beach house with very modern updating and conveniences. Nicely decorated and very well equipped and outfitted. We had benefit of the natural beauty of the beautiful oaks surrounding the large property and enjoyed the creekside views. It was an easy walk to the beach.

Unfortunately, it was a very rainy week at the beach, but it is always nice to be there regardless. The view was great, but due to the natural landscape of the yard, and not enough hardscape, the rainy conditions made the yard and the leaves more susceptible to be tracked into the house. This condition made me feel the necessity to clean up the debris every time I came in. I really appreciate the fact that the owners allowed my dog. It is very hard to find owners that will allow dogs even if you are a conscientious dog/pet owner. Overall the house was nice and close to everything.

Despite the historical weather event that occurred during our stay, my family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful cottage on the creek. It was comfortable, well-appointed, and only two blocks from the beach, with the avenue being directly across from the driveway. We spent most of our time on the screened porch, enjoying the creek and marsh views, which are delightful, and enjoying great sunsets. We will certainly recommend and possibly re-rent this home!

Had a great time. Love the small beach house feel and location. Was on a very busy street however and the smaller rooms stayed hotter than the rest of the house but an excellent vacation with our dogs and fishing off the dock was so fun!

This home was in a great location. It was fun to be on the intercoastal for water sports and also great to only have 2 blocks to walk to the beach. We thought the home was very well maintained and had everything we needed. An overall great experience!

We loved the location and the yard and amenities. The house is small but very comfortable for 6 people and a dog. It is great that there is so much within walking distance! The sunsets are beautiful and having morning coffee on the dock was lovely. A few minuses, upon arrival, 2 beds had sand in them and the sheets needed to be washed. A boat was left on top of the floating dock which which impeded full use of the dock. We called the agency to either allow us to put it in the water or have it moved but we were told they would get back to us and didn't. The boat was there our entire stay. One suggestion - more durable mats by the doors would be helpful in keeping it clean. The current ones are dirty and flimsy. All in all, we would rent the house again.
