As an end unit, this is one of the few Tidewater condos that has a front and back porch so quiet dinners overlooking the ocean or chats with friends while watching golfers try their luck at the thirteenth hole on the Dunes' course, will fill your days. Just steps from a pool shared by only two buildings, guest at Tidewater I104 traveling with young children are close enough for the kids to rush back and forth between the pool and the unit for sunscreen top-ups and bathroom breaks while others stay to play in the kiddie pool or sit under the newly built pergola with a cold drink which provides shade next to the large pool. The most important part of any beach vacation is, of course, the beach. This condo has direct beach access, about a two-minute walk from the back porch to the salty sea and features beautiful ocean views from the living room and the back porch.

As a part of Wild Dunes Resort Community, guest at Tidewater I104 can try out numerous on-site restaurants, rent bicycles and explore the miles of paved bike trails thought the community or ride on the beach. Outside of Wild Dunes, vacationers are not far from Isle of Palms, Mt. Pleasant, and Charleston which are full or memory making opportunities.

When you are not outside enjoying all the activities and scenic views available to you, you will also want a comfortable place to relax and a peaceful night's sleep and we have done everything we can to make this happen. Tidewater I104 is under new ownership (May 2018) and has been almost completely renovated. With new mattresses and QSSB, modern decor in aqua, white, and sand, well equipped kitchen you will have everything you need to feel at home. Wi-fi is provided at no extra cost and, for the comfort of all our guest, the unit is non-smoking and pet free. All linens are provided and this condo accommodates up to 6 guests when the sofa-bed is used.

Tidewater I104 first bedroom features two twin beds, a flat-screen TV with Xfinity cable service and a bathroom with bath and shower that can be accessed from the room or from the main corridor. The second bedroom is a master bedroom with glass doors to access the back porch. The master bedroom is outfitted in Khaki and white luxury bedding and features a private bathroom with sink, walk-in shower and a small vanity area. This bedroom and the living room also have flat-screen TV's for guests' entertainment.

Our week at Wild Dunes was fantastic! After much worry and trepidation about Hurricane Florence's impact on Charleston, we were able to enjoy a wonderful week of sunshine, blue skies, and fabulous company. Our condo was well-appointed and in a perfect spot. We have been coming back to the Tidewater/Port O'Call complex for almost 20 years, as we prefer that area to most others in Wild Dunes. This was our first week-long visit during the fall instead of June, and it couldn't have been better. Until next year!

Very nice week at Tidewater. We have stayed in this particular unit several times in recent years and have enjoyed it each time. New ownership of the unit as of April 2018, with some positive and only a few negative changes made to condo furnishings. We liked the new cabana area at the condo's pool--a good shelter from the hot sun. Our family would definitely stay here again.

I could not recommend this condo enough to everyone we met during our time in Charleston. I could see the ocean from the couch, the porch, the pool - everywhere. The pool was steps from our porch, and the ocean was just over the dunes. Location and convenience was everything to us with two kids under 3, and this unit did not disappoint.

The condo itself was very well maintained, well stocked in the kitchen, very clean, and thoughtfully decorated. I've stayed in many vrbo-type places, and this condo was the first where I really wanted for nothing in terms of needed amenities (except a hairdryer - be sure to bring one!). The beds were comfortable. Just enough seating for everyone. The extra beach supplies (chairs, toys, noodles, umbrella) were an unexpected bonus. Some places feel like sloppy flips; this condo is far from that with many upscale finishes. You can tell that the owners take pride in this property, and we are glad that they shared it with us.

IOP and Wild Dunes were a perfect location for us, too. We didn't mind the scenic 12-minute drive from our condo to IOP-central. 40 minutes to downtown Charleston thru Sullivan went quick. I thought we would miss out with not having a SportsPass, but we didn't need it at all with the pool at Tidewater. We utilized the local grocery store more than eating out, but Wild Dunes has many good eating options to explore.

Lastly, Island Realty was top notch. Extremely helpful at every interaction, ready with advice and recommendations. We will be working with them on future vacations to this location for a long time to come.

This vacation rental is perfect if you are looking for something on the beach with a pool. For that reason alone, we would stay again. It was a beautifully decorated little cottage and I particularly liked I104 due to the closeness to the pool, the beach decor, and the porch furniture set up which allowed us to visit with our guests comfortably.

There were, however, some negatives:
1. The unit did require 4 maintenance calls. We stay in rentals all the time and I have never had to call maintenance before but these were major issues that required attention. I will say, Island Realty's maintenance system is superb. They were there to fix the items right away. I was upset, however, that the ice maker did not work and Island Realty knew about it prior to our arrival. Professional courtesy would have been to tell us so that we could have picked up ice at the grocery when we were there, not have to make a second trip. They said there were ice trays in the unit, but there were not.
2. Island Realty needs an after hours number posted IN THE UNIT to call for late arrival questions/concerns. After a full day driving, our 5 year old wanted nothing more than to go swimming in the pool, however, Island Realty failed to give us the pool entry code with our check in information. I called and left a message at their main number, however, no one EVER called me back. We got the code from the pool maintenance staff. Several other tenants were also not given the code.
3. The unit needs a deep cleaning particularly in the master bathroom.

My wife and two children had a very pleasant stay in this oceanfront condo. The property is spacious with decent ocean views. It has easy access to the pool and beach as well as to the parking lot. So, getting in and out for daily activities could no have been any easier, especially if you are hauling around heavy luggage or bulky beach chairs. The only downside that we experienced with our stay is that the mattress in the master bedroom was well-overdue for a replacement. It should have been replaced long ago. My wife and I woke up every morning with considerable pain and stiffness. This, of course, is not what wants to experience while on vacation. Should the owners replace this mattress, we would be happy to come back to this condo again next summer.

This is our 9th trip to wild dunes over the past 20 years. We have stayed at different locations and this is our favorite spot for our family of four. We have tried other areas but always seem to come back here when we can afford to be closer the the beach. Feels homey and has everthing we need. I believe we have stayed three or four times and will continue.

We had a very pleasant stay in unit I104. The only complaint I have is that whom ever was in the unit above us was rolling things on the floor and walking very heavy very late and into the morning. They was also out on the screened in porch and what ever they was in was so squeaky and again it was up into the wee hours in the morning. Other than that the unit was exceptionally clean and very well maintained.

Annual trip of old time friends get together at Wild Dunes. We had a smaller number of ladies this year so we booked this smaller place and loved it. The only 2 things we would recommend is the twin mattress be replaced. The ladies that slept in that room was not satisfied with the way the beds slept. The ceiling fan on the porch needs some attention, it appears to be hanging on my just a couple of wires. Other than these 2 issues everything was wonderful.

Very nice but could have been a little cleaner( very dusty), but nice space and great view. I think the swimming pool problem will be remedied next year because there is no shade.!! There was a sign that a covered deck would be added at th pool area!😊 My favorite part was the screened in porch.. great space!!

This was a wonderful experience and a great family-friendly place to stay. One thing to change is additional towels and washcloths would have meant less washer time. Tidewater I 104 was a very nice place. The pictures shown on the web are very much like the condo itself, tastefully decorated with a South Carolina decor. Whether you were outside on the screened-in porch that has a small view of the ocean, inside in the living room or on the open porch facing the entrance, it is a pleasant experience. Access to the beach and the pool is very convenient. For future renters you should ask if the washer has been repaired and if the DVD player has been wired to work without switching cables.

We arrived with Joquin, the "1 in a 1,000 yr" storm described by the nat'l weather service.Left area via relatives w/jeep when water reached top of 2nd porch step in concerns from rental co. Had to leave car in parking lot because Palm Blvd was already too flooded to get it out. Returned 3 days later when roads permitted. Much to our relief & surprise, car was perfectly dry, condo fine, power & sewage working. Stayed to enjoy 2 perfect sunny days. Condo very accommodating, well equipped & pleasant.However, not what we consider "beach front" since really could only see a small view of beach from porch. BUT note: it's safe in a flood!! Also note: travel insur. only good IF island is evacuated not if you have to miss 1/2 of wk. because of flooding & fear. So thankful our car wasn't damaged.We do always enjoy the area & its ease to get to from Indiana & this condo was definitely A+ in comfort.

Great Location - Oceanside on the first floor. The condo was clean with linens and towels included. There is an issue in the master bath. The owners have upgraded the bath with a large shower, but they did not install a shower door. There is only a very flimsy shower curtain that was placed so high that when we showered, water went everywhere. We had to put towels all over the floor to keep the floor dry. Consequently, I spent lots of time drying towels. In addition, the sheets on the master bed were worn out, so they kept coming off in the middle of the night which was inconvenient. In the other bath, the mechanism for making the temperature hot or cold only worked sporadically. The twin beds in the second bedroom were very uncomfortable with both having a hard mattress. This would be OK for young children, but unacceptable for the two adults who came with us. Finally, we have been staying at Wild Dunes for 20 years, and this is the first time that I have seen so many "don't" notes from the owners posted all over the unit. One even said, "Don't let your children play with the telephone". All of these notes made us feel unwelcome, and I questioned whether or not the owners really wanted to rent this unit. Many of the above issues can be easily fixed with a little time and attention. Although we would rent from Island Realty again, we would not choose this unit.

We stayed at Tidewater and certainly saw photos before we signed on the dotted line. The photos did match the apartment but, the furnishings were on the shabby side and could use a sprucing up. The kitchen was outfitted with cheap cutlery, cheap plates and very cheap wine glasses, table linens etc. when I pay $2,800. for a week stay I expect nicer surroundings. And, keep in mind how the week runs...day 1 you can't get into the unit until 4:00 p.m. And your last day you have to vacate by 10:00 a.m. $2,800.00 for. 6 night, 5 day stay - not 7 days!

The beach is beautiful and Isle of Palms lovely. I would vacation there again but would try to rent privately.

Loved the location and the back porch! Easy access to pool and beach. Condo is spacious, but needs updating. Bed linens are old, mattresses and pillows soft and saggy. Only two towels in both bathrooms so plan to wash frequently or bring your own. If u plan to cook, bring spices and your own knives. The only provide dull steak knives. Be prepared to read because there are notes all over the place regarding use of everything. We would not stay here again despite location.

Good overall. Some noise from room overhead. Building design (wood) transmits noises more than some we've stayed in at WD.

Location is fantastic. Right next to the pool, short walk to the beach. Best part of our stay.

Had a few issues :
- master bath shower gets water all over the floor
- 2nd bath shower hot/cold knob didn't work (we were able to fix it with some tools)
- ice maker didn't work
- we have 2 kids under 3, and there was a diarrhetic pill found on the floor. Thank goodness we found it and not one of the kids
- the noise from upstairs was really loud (can hear people walking like they're stomping on the floor, and also when they use the bathroom
- minimum temp for the thermostat is 70, which is not cool enough for nighttime

Overall, we had a nice stay. I probably wouldn't go back to this particular condo, but it's nice enough.

A few notes:
- you can't talk outside (even in your screened in porch) after 10pm
- no pets allowed in this condo, but others in the same complex do allow
- they had a few beach toys
- they had a few beach chairs (in rough shape, but they work)
- people get up really early, so be prepared to be awakened at 6 or 7 AM by neighbors
- the beach wasn't busy at all and is very nice (we went in Sept)

This condo is very close to the beach. A short few yards to carry your beach chairs and gear. The condo is full of light with a view of the ocean from the screened porch. While the bathrooms could use an update and the floors in the bedroom have soft subfloor ingredients (watch your step), the condo is clean and comfortable. The homeowners added thoughtful touches, like to beach chairs and beach toys for renters to use.

We liked the location in relation to the beach, but it was a little too far towards the end of the island to consider in the future. Considering I had to work much of the time we were there, the problems we had related to the wifi issues were very distracting. For that reason also, we would not consider this property again.

We loved this condo! My wife and I took our 6 & 3year old here for Mother's Day weekend and it was perfect. The condo was very clean, bright and cozy. Not to mention the location!! Steps from the pool and beach. I would only recommend that you bring a fan for the bedrooms. The screened in porch was great for coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. Also, the square footage of the condo was great. The bedrooms were a decent size especially the kitchen. Plenty of square footage for our kids to run around.
