Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Charleston

Visiting Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, and Charleston in March has many perks:

Catch the Leprechaun 5k

If you enjoy running or walking, you're just in luck! The Catch the Leprechaun 5K is taking place on Friday, March 17th at 6:00 p.m. The starting point will be located at Blue Sky Endurance at Carolina Park in Mount Pleasant – just down the road from Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms. All proceeds will benefit the cause, Racers for Pacers, a local non-profit that provides running chairs for individuals with disabilities who cannot run on their own. A "Pot of Gold" (awards and prizes) will be given at the end of the race. What's St. Patrick's Day without a party? Join in on the post-race fun at the St. Patrick's Day Party from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. There will be food, drinks, and live music!

St. patrick's day parade on king street

Head to historic downtown Charleston for the St. Patrick's Day Parade on King Street! This free event will be held on Friday, March 17 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and the parade route will begin at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, at the corner of Radcliffe St. and Saint Philip St., continuing down King St. to Broad St. and ending at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. While downtown, explore the different historical features the peninsula has to offer. Many local bars and restaurants will be offering holiday specials after the parade!

St. Patrick's day block party & parade

Take part in one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the Low Country - The St. Patrick's Day Block Party & Parade in Park Circle. Festivities begin on Saturday, March 11th with the parade at 12:00 noon and the day will feature live music, street food, a Kid's Zone, and more!
