Visit The Lowcountry This Fall

Summertime at the beach comes with many perks and you're almost guaranteed a fun, hot summer day but beach guests also know that visiting Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and the Charleston area in the fall is just as amazing! The Lowcountry is known for exciting, outdoor activities but the "fall" weather is just as enjoyable. Whether you want to enjoy a full beach day on the islands, take a tour of historic Charleston by water, or journey to downtown and enjoy the local cuisine off King Street, this time of year is one of the best times to visit us.

There is so much going on in the Charleston area in September and October and we are here to be your local guides and help you have the ultimate vacation experience during your next trip! So, what can you expect when visiting us this autumn? Other than awesome beach weather with average temperatures in the mid 70's to low 80's, you can expect a whole bunch of fun!

Get your taste buds in gear for Charleston Restaurant Week from September 5 – 23! As one of the most highly anticipated events in Charleston, enjoy the various opportunities to try your favorite restaurant's menus at special pricing when visiting the area. With these special pricings, you are able to try all of the spots you have always wanted with all of your family and friends. Restaurants such as 82 Queen, Butcher & Bee, Oak Steakhouse, Cannon Green, and much more will be participating in Charleston Restaurant Week. For those of you who enjoy trying and tasting different beers, don't miss out on the 6th Annual Charleston Beer Week taking place from September 7 – 15! This week is about celebrating the city's craft beer community and by doing so, there's a whole week to enjoy various specials, games and promotions of Charleston's best beer options! From keg to glass, invite your whole crew for an experience they don't want to miss! With now 19 production breweries in the Charleston community along with four brewpubs, multiple craft-beer focused bars and restaurants, Charleston Beer Week continuously grows each year and gives everyone the opportunity to try delicious beers.

If you are a history buff and enjoy the various opportunities to explore Charleston, then join in on the fun for the  Annual Fall Tour of Homes, History and Architecture from October 4 – 28! Enjoy viewing the private interiors of Charleston's most iconic and beautiful historical homes. Take the opportunity to view Charleston's rich history and architecture firsthand. Through these in-depth tours, you will be able to experience and see historic houses that have been in the Charleston community for centuries. You will see the charm that draws so many visitors  from around the world to capture this special feature about the area. Each day of the event will feature different homes – so, you will be able to experience something new each time!

Be a part of a great cause and join along with other Charleston locals and guests for the Isle of Palms Connector Walk & Run on October 6, 2018. Whether you're interested in participating in the 5k race or 10k race, all proceeds go to the healing and prevention of child abuse in Charleston. The race will start at 8:00 a.m. and will end with a post-race celebration! After the race, enjoy live music, different beer options and kids' entertainment.
