Keep potential long-term renters interested!

Do you ever stop to think about how much perfect timing has to go into the long-term rental process? 

The property owner has to sign on with the perfect property manager. The property manager has to list the unit in the perfect places. The tenant has to be looking at the perfect time to catch the unit before somebody else does. And, of course, the unit has to line up perfectly with what the tenant needs. 

That's a lot of chance! So what happens if it's not the perfect time? If the property manager doesn't have any availability in the perfect unit at that perfect searching moment? 

Here's our big property management expert secret for you...don't lose the tenant! If you don't have the perfect unit at that exact moment, you might in a week! You might get availability in a unit you already manage; you might sign a new property onto your program. Keep the potential tenant interested and engaged in your services. How do we like to do this? By sending out an updated unit list every two weeks. 

It might sound simple, but the act of showcasing new or featured listings to interested parties can do so much. Not only does it keep Island Realty in the minds of potential renters, it also advertises our owners' properties in a much more direct way than simply listing the units online and never mentioning them again.
