What are Your Main Objectives with Having a Rental Property?

This is the second question in our 5-part series with Collins Atkinson, Island Realty's VRH Business Development Manager, regarding the vacation rental program and what benefits it holds for our home owners – allowing our potential prospects to have a better understanding of what this program is all about! If this is the first post you are reading, feel free to catch up on the first question featured in last week's blog post.

What are your main objectives with having a rental property?

To have a complete understanding when it comes to your vacation rental property on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island, it is important to consider your goals in the program. Collins is the person who will instill confidence in your decisions. He will use his expertise to guide you in making sure your needs are met.

  1. What are your goals?
    1. Is this 100% an investment tool? Meaning, are you using this property just as an investment  - including would only briefly stay in the property (1 week/year)
    2. Is it to cover the cost to own this property?
    3. Or, is it a combination of both?

Based on how you would answer this question, Collins will then discuss with you how to achieve this goal. Our team of experts can create a strategic marketing plan specifically for your property based on your expectations and needs.

We are flexible – Collins and the team are more than happy to sit down with you once a year and revaluate how things are going. If the management style needs to be updated/changed, we can make any necessary changes to make sure you are happy and that it's a great fit.

Stay tuned for more upcoming questions and answers! In the meantime if you have any additional questions, would like to get a rental quote, or would like to speak to Collins, feel free to reach out to us! We would love to meet with you
