This was our third time to SC but first time staying in IOP. This location was awesome. The house has plenty of room for our family of three and could have easily fit another family.

The location was truly awesome and perfect for families. A one minute walk to the pool and 3-5 minutes to the beach. The beach path is not far from the IOP beach park amenities. Additionally, this location was between 10-20 minutes from all of our favorite places and very close to grocery, etc.

The basic necessities are at the home but there will be some items you need to buy. I did not find this out of the ordinary from other rentals we have stayed at.

We stayed in this house over Memorial Day weekend. The location in relation to the beach is amazing, including a semi-private access path. It was nice to be able to walk to the Harris Teeter across the street for any needed groceries and/or amenities. The pool was very nice, and we used it a lot. Be prepared to buy basically everything for daily life, as the house has none of it - paper towel, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. Each rental is different, so just a good thing to know going in. There's a nice outdoor shower downstairs, which was great when coming home sandy from the beach. Our family of 5 fit easily. Highly recommended, and hope to be back soon!

Lovely, clean home close to the beach, pool (1 house away),grocery/shops and town. Close to the IOP Connector. Kitchen was very well stocked. Shower room with storage under the house was very nice. Would definitely rent again.

I've stayed in this house a few times, and loved the updates that were done since my last visit. We had to come in for a funeral so no planning before hand. It was a central location for my sisters and I to get to the church, airport, Charleston, and local restaurants. Enough room to gather with other family members. Thanks to Island Realty for making that trip easy!

My daughter rented this home for 2 weeks. My husband and I were there for the first week. Wonderful location. Easy access to the beach and pool. The Harris Teeter shopping center is across the street. The house has been somewhat updated. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with anything you would need to cook, serve and eat with. The oven is fantastic. Other than the ice dispenser being broken (ice was still made, but you had to to in the freezer to get it) the fridge was good as was the dishwasher. The house was clean and well kept. The 2nd bathroom has not been updated. It needs to be. Cant speak about the master bath, we did not go in there. We had to order a fire stick to get the TV to work and play stuff for us and the kids. The couches were comfortable and seemed to be clean. However the overall decor is very dated. Additionally, there should be a keyless entry for the outside doors, especially for a beach property. Having to worry about the keys every time was not good. Also, not sure why they did not enclose or cover one of the outdoor decks to offer shade. It was impossible to be out there with the sun beating down. But both deck furnishings were nice. The grill. Yuck. Very tiny, very old, very rusty, very dirty. Replacement needed. The room with the outdoor shower is wonderful. But while I was in there, a gust of wind came up and blew open the door and scared me to death. Perhaps a small hook and eye closure on the inside of that door would be helpful. It was weird that you couldnt lock the door from the inside. Anyway, overall, cant beat the location and its a decent place, just needs some more work.

The location was absolutely awesome. We could walk to the pool and the beach in under 10 minutes. The sun decks were amazing as well.
We had a wonderful girls trip.
Loved everyone in the office. Zach and Ms. Anita were quite reliable and professional. I cannot wait to return.

We loved the Beachside location. Short walk to the beach, convenient walk for groceries, shops, restaurants, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Pool was basically one house away. House was very nice, updated and spacious, accommodated 6 of us easily. Island Reality was efficient to work with. Only suggestions I would make are include some garbage bags in unit or remind renter to bring some with them and update to softer mattresses & pillows in rental (They weren’t terrible for a weeks stay, but definitely not the most comfortable.)

Love the property and location. It is furnished in a manner more as if it were owner-occupied than a rental.

My only concern was the front steps. All of the steps appear identical. This combined with the very short step at the bottom result in a tripping hazard. Considering that, they are more attractive and safer than rotted wood with popped nails that we have experienced at some other properties. This could be easily improved by adding a tread of a different color to the short bottom step.

This vacation home was everything we could have asked for. Had everything we needed, within walking distance to restaurants/bars, grocery store, pool and beach. We absolutely loved it! It was on a quiet street. Will definitely look into it again when we come back to IOP.

Found this vacation rental for a last minute getaway with girlfriends and could not have been happier with the house, price and location. We are already planning our next visit. The community was super quiet, the 3 minute walk to the beach from a private community walkway, and the central location to restaurants and grocery store was perfect.

This was our first experience renting a weekly vacation home. The house was very clean and hospitable. It felt like home, not too ostentatious. The furniture and beds were comfortable, although the recliner chair isn’t in the best condition. There were some minor maintenance items which could be addressed like the handrail on the back deck is rotting and the tile floor outside the master bedroom is loose and clicks when you step on it. The best thing about this home is its location in a quiet corner of the Beachside neighborhood. Very little traffic, one house away from pool and tennis court, and an easy walk to beach or grocery store. We were in IOP for a wedding and heard from others who had also rented homes that our location was more convenient to activities than higher end homes in the Wild Dunes area. We felt fortunate for choosing this home from Island Realty.

Great house with plenty of room. Kitchen was great and loved the house layout. The walk to the beach is very short and right beside the pool. I have been coming to the Island for 30 years and this is a private Beach entrance. So in other words it was not crowed at all on Beach.

The only one thing I think is weird about the house it does not have steps at the back of the house to exit. In case of a emergency you would need to jump off of the deck.

We regularly vacation on IOP and visit family in Mount Pleasant. We've stayed at #8 many times, making it feel like our home away from home. We've seen many improvements over the years, making our stay very comfortable. We found the house to be very clean and the kitchen well-equipped for our needs. We loved the house!! Great floor plan with a kitchen to die for. It was well stocked for the most part, silverware, pots and pans, glassware. Almost everything we needed. We had to pick up a small number of kitchen items (and we are leaving them in the hope that they will still be here next winter).The only complaint we have is that the beds were terribly squeaky. The supports under the queen bed are fairly inadequate and the box springs are not very good. THAT is our most serious complaint! And you know how old people need a really comfortable bed ;)

The house had a very musty smell when we entered. I think that the moldy shower curtain in the master bath was not helping with the smell. The kitchen equipment was lacking. There were very few pots and pans and not a lot of other kitchen essentials. We brought several items with us and good thing that we did. Our overall trip was good. The walk to the private beach access was not terribly long and once on the beach, there was plenty of space to set up and not be on top of anyone else. The house location is also easy to access the grocery and other stores on IOP.

My wife and I stayed here with our three daughters ages 8,10,and 12 for the week and had a great time! House was clean and had plenty of room for us. Very convenient to the beach access and walking distance to HT and restaurants on IOP. The neighborhood was great, we never had to deal with the traffic that other houses do that were on the main drag. For the price you can’t beat this house!

Enjoyed our week-long stay at the address of Beachside Drive 8. Property was very comfortable to stay in and convenient to the local area and the beach. Interior was clean and well equipped. Layout of house was very nice. The carport was nice, along with the outside showers. One recliner chair was probably needing repair or replacement. We would stay in this place again. Only negative (which did not impact our stay) was our concern of the exterior condition. Paint was peeling on much of the exterior, including the ceiling of the carport. Some window casements may need to be replaced in a few areas because of lack of paint and appearance of wood damage. Other than that, all was good.

Rental property was nice. Clean, beds comfy, sitting areas nice. Two cautions on the back porch - be sure the door knob is unlocked before going out or you will be locked out. And wear shoes as the wood is splintery. Nice location, walking distance to the grocery store. Rental agents very helpful.

We enjoyed our annual family Labor Day vacation on IOP again this year. We love staying in Beachside development, close to beach and pool and walking distance to grocery store and restaurants. Beachside 8 was nice, liked the layout and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed. The only complaints is need a new sofa sleeper and the floors were very dirty. Had to wears shoes inside the whole time there. The staff at Island Realty was very nice and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at IOP. This house was 2 houses away from
The pool and about a 6 minute walk to the beach. A great location and we felt very safe. The house was very nice and I loved the kitchen. The living room furniture really needs to be addressed. The rocker recliner was broken, the couch and love seat were truly worn. We were planning on the sofa couch for sleeping but it was not possible as it was very dirty .We covered it with sheets as the grandkids wanted to sit and read. We purchased an air mattress because we just could not sleep on that sofa bed.��The throw rugs need to be washed or replaced. I am being honest because this house would be my favorite place if it weren't for the living room furniture. The kitchen table was amazing for the family. With grandkids , the outside shower was where everyone showered, it was an amazing setup! The outside decks were great for morning coffee. If the furniture is replaced please let me know as I would definitely return!

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however we had a bee infestation near the front porch which we reported on day 1, however despite several follow up calls, nothing was done about it.

Could not have been happier with the property and the location. Check in was easy and informative. I would have like a later checkout time, but all was well. House was clean and towels were provided. There is a Harris Teeter nearby for all additional needs. I'd suggest buying extra trash backs. Beach was walking distance.

A beautiful home that was well equipped for a multi -generation family vacation!
The only negative part of the experience would be a recommendation to The Isle of Palms to be more proactive on spraying for the mosquitos that were swarming . Living here in the Charleston area we are well aware of this problem and the need for regular prevention.
