Why Are Renovations Important?

Winter is coming to a close, and we’re gearing up for another great vacation season here on Isle of Palms! This is the the last chance to make any major changes to your home or condo before the tourists come flooding in, and many of our owners have taken advantage of the slower months to change flooring, get new mattresses, couches, kitchen appliances, and more. All of these things get the most wear and tear from weekly renters, and making these updates makes a huge difference in how desirable the property is. Renovations and updates make a better experience for the guest, and more bookings for the owner!
So why do these renovations matter? It can best be seen with some examples of before and after renovation transformations!
This Wild Dunes condo got a major uplift! The new flooring and furnishings really brighten up the space, and make the entire space look more coherent. There’s now more space for the family to sit together, and enjoy the view from their living room!
An oceanfront home is always going to be a popular choice, so what really distinguishes one from the other (and the one guests are more likely to rent) is one that’s been recently updated. This stunning home has replaced furniture throughout the home, and even built on an expanded covered porch across the back of the property! Now there’s room for outdoor dining, and beautiful landscaping improvements to make a beautiful oceanfront home that much better.
This house was already a beauty, but there’s so many new things to love! The kitchen went through a complete renovation, and is now a more open space that flows through to the living room (which, by the way, is brand new too!) All of the bathrooms have been updates, as well as furniture throughout the house. Some of the outdoor updates include a pool, landscaping with sod, and additional parking and sidewalks for guests!
To our guests: We’ve listened to your feedback! We read reviews that you submit to us via surveys, as review sites such as Google, Yelp, and Facebook to know what needs the most attention. Be sure to revisit your old favorites to see which properties look brand new!
To our owners: Think of your rental property like your own home--but with a lot more foot traffic! The updates that you make truly make a difference, and set your property apart from the competition!
