We had a great stay at 200 Carolina Upper. Luckily it has a screened in porch as most of our days were rainy, but we still got to enjoy being outside. Only ding would be the WiFi. It kept going in/out and affected the TV (bummer for the rainy days). And had a hard time doing work one day when I didn’t have internet access. But would stay again - great location (2 blocks from beach).

We have stayed at this location before, but in the downstairs unit. 200 Carolina upstairs is even better. The unit is clean and comfortable for six. It has comfortable couches and beds. One very small bathroom is a little tricky but worked for us. The king bed has a wonderful mattress topper. It’s a very quick 5 minute walk to the beach. The screened porch is great. The only thing others might dislike is the small tv in the living room that has VERY limited television with only a few local stations. But we weren’t there for tv. Would highly recommend.

We were on the IOP for a music festival at The Windjammer with our family. This place was a great find and we enjoyed. It's a great place! Only one small complaint...beware of the rust on the beach chairs. It stained my swimming suit.

Condo is exactly as described. It is a short 3-5 minute walk to the beach and the screened in porch is delightful for morning coffee and evening talks. The kitchen was well stocked for all your cooking needs and the condo is decorated super cute. It was also very clean which we appreciated. I would recommend a few things. First, invest in at least a washing machine. We only had 5 bath towels for the week and didn’t feel like going to the nearest laundry mat. Secondly, the wifi was a sporadic and therefore the TV rarely worked. Need to upgrade to a smart TV so guests can access Hulu, Netflix etc..And last, the bedrooms get a little warm at night. I don’t know what to do about this, except maybe get window units for those rooms. All and all it accommodated our family of 5 very nicely.

I applaud the owners and island realty for giving an accurate description of this great house. The description was helpful, as it was an older house but recently updated, they noted that there was not a washing machine or dryer nor an icemaker. So we didn’t come expecting either of those and knowing the house was not new. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable, mattresses even looked new. Plenty of closet space. We loved that the linens were provided, with plenty of extra towels, as well as towels in the kitchen. The walk to the beach was pretty short, and I am pretty picky about walking a long way to the beach. We love the screened in porch as well. There were no ice cube trays, so we bought one and left it and also purchased a bag of ice for our stay. The front door sticks, and there was a maintenance man working on it when we got there. The only other thing I would suggest is to bring some Tupperware if you are going to be cooking. Nothing really to store leftovers. Such tiny things to consider with such a great house. We will definitely come again and thought the price was fair for the rental.

This was a great little house for our 5 guests and dog to enjoy for 11-nights. We especially loved the location of this property. It is closer to the breach inlet and a little farther away from the shops and restaurants. This may seem like a negative at first, but in peak season, this property's beach access leads to a much quieter, less congested area of the beach. The shops are still a quick bike ride or golf cart ride away. The walk to the beach is under 5 minutes. At first, we weren't sure if we were allowed to use the path that runs between two properties, but then we saw many people using it so assumed it was okay to do so. Without this pathway, the walk to the beach access path would be much longer. The house was exactly as described. It was clean, cute, and had a pretty well-stocked kitchen. There were plenty of sheets and towels which was great because this house is without a washer and dryer. We made one run to the launder mat in Mount Pleasant and that did the trick for us. This house is in a great location- close to the beach, IOP shops and restaurants, less than 30 minutes to Charleston. Best of all, it is a ten minute golf-cart ride to Sullivan's Island- our favorite place for great restaurants. This house may not be fancy or have the newest appliances, but if you are interested in a great location and great house at a reasonable price, I highly recommend it.

We have stayed at this rental many times. This was really most disappointing. There were roaches in the kitchen. The floor in the bathroom was stained. The ceiling in the living room had several places where it was leaking. The quality and condition was not worth the rental price. Unable to find anything decent on the television. Couldn't get any channels.the one saving grace was the screened in porch which we loved.

Island Realty was a pleasure to work with and the location was good. However, the property was disappointing. It was old and run down. The air conditioning vents outside of the main living room didn’t function well so the bedrooms were warm. The bathroom sink faucet was malfunctioning and it was hard to get hot water. Shower head was terrible. The furniture is old and uncomfortable. The bed lines were very poor quality. There was used tissue in the bathroom floor on my arrival. Overall, not worth the rent.

We rented 200 up and down, the house is a little older than most on IOP. But it was the perfect spot for our large group plus 1 dog. The kitchens were equipped for all our cooking needs. The deck on the second floor was the perfect spot for our group to hang out after a day at the beach. We will definitely rent from Island Realty again!

This was a wonderful place to stay for our family of 3 and dog! It was just the right size and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The screened in porch and deck was perfect for our toddler, especially when it rained she could still get outside! Plus there was a huge grassy area right next to the house for our dog. Pros: The location at the rental price point can't be beat. The beach is a literal 2 block walk! That allows you to maximize your time there, also it's at the less busy side of Isle of Palms and social distancing respected and maintained.

Cons: The unit was not clean when we arrived, the floors were swept but hadn't been cleaned/mopped. The inside of the unit hasn't been updated in some time and could use some fresh paint. There was a framed posted that was literally hanging from the frame on the wall. There were a few issues that required me to call the Island Realty, which were great and the property manager responded quickly. The AC in the unit only works in one room requiring a box fan to be used to push the cold air into the bedrooms (didn't report since it's not something i wanted to have dealt with while I was staying). The kitchen is not well stocked with usable pots/pans (property manager brought out a small set of new ones). Beds are very old and soft with use, furniture is dated worn.

For the price though it's on par, I was just hoping it would be a fantastic deal rather than just a great beach location. My trip was great though and you're surrounded by rentals that literally cost the same per night, as the weekly rate. If you really don't mind having any comforts of at the unit, the location can't be beat!

I’ve been vacationing on Isle of Palms for 50+ years and I think the location of this beach house is the best on the Island. It’s in a quiet, gorgeous neighborhood, only 2 short blocks from the beach. The beach on this end of the Island is not crowded because street parking (for locals) is limited and so locals park closer to downtown Isle of Palms. My friends and I stayed for a week after Memorial Day weekend and almost had the beach to ourselves. The beach is also very wide at low tide. It’s beautiful and the shallow tidal pools that form are nice for kids to swim in. There’s plenty of space between you and other beachcombers. You can walk to the Boathouse Restaurant and Bar and catch the sunset, or ride bikes across the bridge at Breech Inlet and enjoy sightseeing on Sullivan’s Island. Fort Moultrie is fun to tour and the beach to the right of the fort is a perfect spot to watch the sunset over Charleston.

The house is small, but good for a couple with kids. It’s also pet friendly, which is great. But you’re not going to find new furniture in a pet friendly house. The sofas are big and comfortable, but dated. The new kitchen cabinets and flooring are very nice. The whole house just needs some new, fresh decor. The plastic wreath in the “flamingo room” is awful. It needs to go. It could be a very cute beach house with some new furnishings. The twin mattresses are old and I could feel the bedsprings. Kids may not care, but it wasn’t comfortable for me. The bathroom is small but manageable for a small family. There isn’t a washer-dryer so be prepared to hand wash or bring extra clothes/towels. The outdoor shower was awesome. Great for hosing the sand off your dog. We also loved hanging out on the screened in porch. The deck however, need to be replaced. Be aware, the railing is loose in certain places. (I let Island Realty know.) It’s not the fanciest beach house, but all i

The rental was very clean (floors, furniture, bathroom, and kitchen) and looked freshly painted. It was a very short walk to the beach - three houses back with a path directly from the house to the beach. We rented for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With its close proximity to Charleston, it was easy to find LOTS of fun activities and places to eat out. Isle of Palms is much quieter than some of the other beaches and I thoroughly enjoyed my early morning walks. I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat.

this rental property is close to the beach and inlet which in my opinion is the most beautiful part of the island. We love this rental because of the screened in porch. The only problem we had with this visit is that we couldnt get the tv to work and when it did start working it would turn itself off which was very frustrating. Older folks like us need better instruction in the electronic world. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

We rented this unit for the month of October while we waited to purchase our house and do a few minor renovations. We could not have asked for a better location and better company to rent from! The space was quite large, the area is wonderful, and the screen in porch and patio were wonderful. The first day we arrived the bottom screen on the door was broken. I called the company and they were there within hours and not only fixed the screen but also gave us a gate so our dog could go onto the porch and not escape down the stairs. I was very impressed! For the money and the fact that they allow dogs you cannot beat this rental!

The apartment has a great location but it needs a lot of upgrading. The carpets are filthy and all the bed linen and covers were very old and some were ripped. The shower needs upgrading. The litchen is fine. Nothing seems to have changed in the apartment since all my family stayed in both apartments 6 years ago. We are renting here next summer and I really hope we are pleasantly surprised.

We arrived Saturday afternoon , check in was seamless , The Duplex is easy to find . Plenty of parking for a Duplex . It's a older building , so the lay out and design is a bit out dated, Modern designs allow better flow from the Kitchen , Dining Room and living Space . Screened porch is awesome. The Bath room is Tiny , if you have any phisical disibilities you may have trouble navigating the bath room . Cold A/C and a short walk to the Ocean . If I had the money and the time I would spend a month in this little house

several great things about this property: 1. very easy walk to the beach, 2. the screened in porch is lovely in the evening to eat dinner and has an ocean breeze being up so high. We booked this house last-minute for a long weekend. The location is nice as it's far down the island (quiet) with beautiful sunset views when you walk toward the beach or marsh (a couple blocks). However the house was very bare minimum: for example, there was a large porch, but only one chair. Also the listing said there was wi-fi, but there was none (we called about it). Definitely no frills here, but we made the most of it.

Did you have a good overall stay. Yes, the stay was very pleasant.
Was the vacation rental in a great location? Can't say that there is a bad location on the island. It really worked out well for me.
Was the home clean and in good shape? This is the one area where I would have to say that there is some room for improvement. Apparently there was work done on the interior and quite a bit of the over spray from the ceiling coating was left every where. When we first got there we spent a good 2-3 hours wiping everything down so it didn't get on anything else.
Was the vacation rental management staff helpful? The staff members I dealt with were great.
