The location is great with a view overlooking the golf coarse, the dunes and the ocean. It was very nice to start each day with beautiful sunrise. The property just need a little TLC, and higher quality towels/linens, to make it a 5 star property.

This is the 4th time my wife, and I, have stayed in Ocean Point 52. We love this area, the home and the proximity to the Beach. Very clean and comfortable; the house is lovely.
We have used Island Realty all the times we have rented in IoP; what a wonderful company to work with!

Our vacation here was perfect. The view is amazing. Since we visited in the fall, the beach was quiet, as was the neighborhood. The house is cute and served our needs well. Would definitely vacation here again.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Ocean Point 52. This part of the beach is very quiet and peaceful. We saw dolphins every day around noon, had deer on the golf course and tons of birds in the area. The screened in porch was a family favorite for hanging out. Very comfortable home.

We needed a rental for just a few days and totally last minute. Island Realty came through with Ocean Point 52! We usually stay in Wild Dunes and we were happy that 52 was available for our short stay. Loved the community and the house! We are already discussing a return trip!

Loved our stay. The good: gated, good HVAC, great view of water and golf course, comfy beds, working appliances, great WiFi. The not-so-good: interior paint showing wear, grill needs degreasing, needs wine glasses, screen on porch may be needed some seasons, but was a distraction in early May. We'd go back.

Ocean Point 52 was a great rental for our group of girlfriends getting away for a weekend! Super secure location within the Wild Dunes resort expansive property, required 2 different security gates to go through. Boardwalk to beach accessible from the backyard. House was in good condition, lots of open space and patio space (with netted covering). Top notch smart TV in living space. Kitchen had everything you would need for basics. Island Realty offered after hours lockbox pickup for keys with great instructions, very quick on responding to issues during our stay as well. You will need a vehicle to get in and out to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!

- Interior very nice and clean

Cons -
- Outdoor screen porch needs work - we had rain the first night so we thought we'd sit on the screen porch. It leaked in about 8 places including the ceiling fan. Obviously the fan did not work and you need one in August! There were also some soft spots in the porch flooring/planks that should be replaced.
- There was trash outside around the trash cans.

Great location with easy access to the beach, accurate description of the property. There is a small bathtub in one of the upstairs bathrooms if that's important to you. Very nice house, could just use some minor upkeep such as touch-up painting of interior walls. As noted, there is a home renovation project on the neighboring property currently. Overall we would recommend this property and found the Island Realty property manager very responsive to questions.

We enjoyed our long awaited vacation at Ocean Point 52 tremendously. The home is spacious and clean, it provided great views of the ocean and resort. We had fun people watching and nature watching. A precious family of deer entertained us several times during our stay. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful vacation! Perfect for two parents, a 9 year old and 3 year old, and two grandparents. Wild Dunes is a great place for families. The house is perfectly located. It has two beautiful decks, one screened in, with a stunning view of the ocean and beach. Great place to walk and ride bikes, play tennis and golf.
The beds were super comfortable. TVs tricky to work if you aren’t used to switching between inputs and using apps to stream. The house was clean but very much needs repairs! Fresh paint, repaired walls from water leaks, new shower rods, etc. would make the place perfect. The realty company could not have been nicer! We would definitely stay again without hesitation!

Experience was excellent except for the lack of cable TV selection. Million dollar home and the owner (rental company) is providing cheap sub-basic cable selection. Spend the extra $80/mo and upgrade the TV cable.

The location of the property was awesome - right on the beach next to the boardwalk. The furnishings were up-to-date and attractive. The kitchen was well-equipped. There is no couch on the screened porch and no steps to the beach from the screened porch. Beach access is from the basement/garage area only. The house sleeps 8 people, but the bathroom space does not serve 8 people well. There is a half bath on the main floor, and an in-suite bathroom for the master bedroom that is tiny - very, very, very little counter space and overall sufficient for one person at a time. The second bathroom is shared by six people and is as tiny as the master bath. But, all in all, we had a great week and recommend the house.

The location of this property is perfect. Ocean, beach and 18th tee golf views. Just beautiful. Island Realty staff that I worked with before and during the stay were very professional and accommodating. The property maintenance and amenities could be improved. The dishes, glasses and flatware in the cabinet had dried food particles on them and in some cases wet. Surface cleaner, dish detergent and liquid hand soap would be nice to have. I purchased and left there for the next renter. Piles of floor sweepings were left in various rooms on the beautiful hardwood floors. Porch door window has sticky food and hand prints. Kitchen counter had sticky spots and a white crusty dried spot. The Master toilet had mold all around the under rim. I think the cleaning person must have been in a hurry on the cleaning day. Eric from Island Realty stopped by and offered to credit the cleaning fee back to me which was a very nice gesture. However I haven’t see the credit yet. A roll of paper towels and some rolls of toilet paper were provided, which was so helpful. Linens were provided but limited. The master king bed has a mattress topper that slides and you need to be careful not slide out of bed. The dishwasher works but is in need of repair or replacement. Carefully slide the top holder out but not too far. The garage door opener is broken needs to be replaced. All that said I still would recommend staying here. There are also several other island Realty Ocean Pt properties that are nice and should be considered based on the cost. More bang for the buck. After cleaning a bit we really enjoyed our stay there.

We had a group of small children (ranging from 1 - 8 years old). This was the perfect beach spot for us! Quiet neighborhood and very private beach with plenty of room to play. The pool and hot tub area in this community was beautiful!
The house was clean and nicely maintained. Our only suggestion would be to provide more towels and wash cloths.
Other than that, we had a wonderful time and created great memories!

Overall we had a great stay at this home. The location cannot be beat! A few recommendations for the could use a thorough cleaning. Also, would have been nice to have a few extra supplies as far as plastic ware (esp reusable cups/glasses for beach!), extra garbage bags, foil, toilet paper etc AND beach towels! It was a lovely location and beautiful view...a few upgrades to the home would make it ideal.

Perfect location between beach access and pool. House struck by lightening during our stay and knocked out air conditioning, cable and internet. I can’t say enough about a Island Realty’s responsiveness to correct all these problems. Sent a maintenance man at 11pm to start trying to fix the problems and followed up continually until everything fixed.

We rented this property for our family over the Easter Break. We have 2 grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and a precious grandbaby. We loved this home! It was the perfect set-up for our vacation. The accommodations are lovely and the view is amazing. The location is a bit far out, but the beach is wonderful. We found a plethora of shells each day! Our week went by way too quickly, however, we look forward to returning next year!

Absolutely love thw Ocean 52 house. It was my sencond ywar there and we intend to return next fall. My one and only suggestion would be on the amount of paper products. Very limited for tge amount the house is for a week. The rest of the trip was winderful.

Home was clean, but not immaculate. A/C was COMPLETELY off upon arrival, 2nd floor cooled to 80 degrees after 5-6 hours. I was about to leave the house, since this was unsafe for my 6-month old baby.

On hot days, 2nd floor A/C struggled to keep it cool, but was a bit more comfortable by nighttime.

If not for A/C issues, house is definitely a 4 star rental, not 5 star just due to normal wear and tear etc.

Even with issues, I'd still recommend the house for rental and even stay again.

The location of this house was great, though on more of an inlet that the Atlantic Ocean. Very private beach and since it is not directly on the ocean, would be ideal for families with small children. The house is in desperate need of some TLC. It could also use a really good cleaning. My husband took over an hour of his vacation to clean the garage area out just so we could use it. We needed a number of repairs (actual hazards) which should probably have been noticed long before we got there. Maintenance was great, however, and they arrived very quickly after we called.

I doubt I would stay here again just for the maintenance and cleaning issues, but if the owners made a bit of an effort I would reconsider.

Unfortunately the contractors did not properly clean up from the construction under the house. Great location and would rent again if routine maintenance was performed. Love the layout and access to the beach and golf course. Unfortunately it appears routine maintenance has never been performed. From the back door, to the ceiling fan outside to the torn rug to the rusted deck furniture to the window shutters that wont stay up it's a shame to let such a great property go in this disrepair. Not major work just some routine maintenance. Not sure if the new owners will rent out for next year but if the do and they tidy up some things I would rent again!

The house itself is very nice. The bathrooms were a bit small and limited to split between 9 girls. The view was beautiful, but the beach feels very secured because of the double private gate access

Overall the stay was wonderful. The house is in a perfect location to get away from the hustle of a more crowded beach. The house could use a handyman for a long weekend. There are some routine maintenance items that should be addressed and the stay would have been flawless. Doors were difficult to open and the door to the beach would only open enough to let someone slide through sideways. I did find that about half of the plates needed to be hand washed before being used. Again, not a deal breaker but a little concerning about the overall cleanliness of the house.

We rented this home last year and found it to be perfect for our family. The pictures and description are accurate. The property was clean and comfortable. We did observe a few areas along the northeast corner of the family room that need some attention and repair.

We love the comfortable seating (seats 6+ adults) in the family room and dining table.
We look forward to renting this home again.

We very much enjoyed our week spent at 52 Ocean Point in Wild Dunes. The place was clean, the beds were confortable, weather was good, the view of the ocean was excellent. Island Realty was friendly when we checked in and very prompt when we made requests after checking into the property. Wild Dunes is an excellent place for a beach vacation...plenty to do such as biking, pool, lots of variety for walks and of course the the beach and golf, tennis are available at what we consider reasonable cost. We will definitely be back.

I would give this rental four stars – the location is pretty much unbeatable, in a lovely gated area of Wild Dunes, directly in front of the 18th hole of the links course with an incredible view of the beach. However, the house is in pretty run-down condition- the view of the beach is difficult to see due to the plantation shutters that won't stay open and incredibly dirty windows, and pretty much every surface in the house is in need of a good deep cleaning. That said, we really enjoyed our stay and especially the view from the screened in back patio, but we would likely look for a better maintained house for the cost we spent for the week.

We have 2 kids age 8 & 5 and we all thought the house was great. It's a gated community within a gated community and felt very safe and secluded. The access to the beach is right in front of the house and the pool is just a short walk away as well. The beach is very wide here so plenty of places to play at low and high tide.
The house was great and 4 adults & 2 kids fit fine and never got in the way of one another. Everything in the house worked great. Kids loved the bunk beds. Bottom bed is bigger than the top so eased the wife's worry if one fell out of the top (which would have been impossible). We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed in 52 Ocean Point for the second year, and we had a great stay. We love the location and the house, but it saw a lot of wear and tear in the last year. Basic upkeep has not been done with damage the dishwasher, chips in paint, etc. Also, we have found other realty companies or private owners much friendlier and nicer with which to deal. Again, this is great house...but a few minor updates and niceties from the real estate company would go a long way.

We booked this house last minute and kind of "lucked" into it. It is a FABULOUS location, as it is gated within the Wild Dunes area, so the beach is super private. The house is very high end. (The towels were the nicest I have ever seen in a rental house.) We are planning to book this again next time we are in Charleston. Amazing...

This property has great ocean views and is in very close proximity to the beach. The WIld Dunes area is overall very well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The decor in the home is better than most beach rentals, but could definetely use some updating. The bed linens were very thread-bare and the pillows were terrible. The great views were partially blocked by inoperable plantation shutters - very few of the shutters worked at all. Despite having a double-gated secure entrance into the community, we still had trouble with a group of drunken college kids and the property management company was of little or no help to us at all. After some needed improvements to the property and some customer service training at the property management company, I would recommend this property to a friend and/or schedule a return visit.
